<div>At 3:00 AM on September 20th while asleep in bed, Karley Collins was the victim of a random act of violence, sustaining a gunshot wound that fractured her femur. After undergoing emergency surgery, she now faces a long, painful road ahead, including intensive physical therapy to learn how to walk again.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>While she recovers, Karley will be unable to work, leaving her and her husband, Kevin, with sudden medical bills and lost income during an already traumatic time. This fundraiser is raising funds to cover Karley’s medical expenses and basic living costs so she can focus entirely on her healing.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div> Because this happened so suddenly, the need for support is immediate. Whether you can commit to a recurring monthly gift while she recovers or make a one-time contribution, every dollar helps ease the financial strain on Karley and Kevin. If you aren't able to donate, sharing this campaign with your network means the world. Thank you for your kindness and support!

Karley Collins Recovery After Shooting

<div>
 My name is Max Wolbeck. I am starting this fundraiser to support my stepdad, Noel Johnson, after a recent unimaginable tragedy.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 My mother, Nancy Johnson, and all four of our beloved pets, Po, Loki, Dusty, and Cecil, have tragically lost their lives in a house fire recently while my stepdad, Noel, was at work.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Nancy was a beloved mom and wife, full of life, love, and happiness. She always put others before herself, and she was extremely supportive of her two sons, Wolf and Max. She enjoyed gardening, collecting gemstones, thrifting, and traveling with her sons and her husband, Noel. She loved nature, her family, and her many wonderful pets over the years. She constantly provided for others her whole life. Nancy will be deeply missed, and her memory will live on with us forever.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 During this accident, most of the house was lost, as well as the majority of the items inside. This fundraiser is to help raise support for the funeral services, as well as to help Noel begin to rebuild some of what was lost in this tragic accident.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you for your kindness and support during this incredibly difficult time.
</div>
<div>

 I love and miss you, Mom.

In Memory of Nancy Johnson and Our Beloved Pets

<div>Howard Bass, 68, is a husband of 42 years to Ruby, and a father to his 26 year old daughter Rebecca. He has spent the last 38 days in the hospital enduring a complicated and mysterious neurological illness, for which his medical team still have no diagnosis.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He is in critical condition in the neurology ICU at Westchester Medical Center and has been in a coma for over a week, on a ventilator and feeding tube. While we are doing everything we can to advocate for his care, wait for testing that leads to a diagnosis, and attempt life saving surgeries and treatments, as of right now, there is no clear path forward for recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the end of June, Howie experienced a sudden onset of a rapidly progressing illness that impacted his brain and cognitive function, and ability to talk, walk and eat. After extensive and repeated cat scans, MRIs, lumbar punctures and blood tests, all results have been inconclusive. While we are still currently pursuing treatments, we have had to broach impossible conversations about transitioning Howie to comfort care so he can live as comfortably as possible until he passes on.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We know this is shocking, devastating and impossible to understand. At this time, we ask that you will respect our family’s wishes and know that we are making the best possible decisions to honor Howie’s values.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re asking for help to raise funds to cover:
</div>
<ul>
<li>Medical expenses for three extended hospital stays since July 2
</li>
<li>Hotel accommodations for our family to ease the burden of commuting to the hospital every day while we wait for the treatment and recovery of Howie
</li>
<li>Possible funeral expenses that may arise
</li>
<li>Unexpected costs that might come up as the situation unfolds
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Howie is our entire world, and anyone who knows him knows how intelligent, creative, warm, and goofy he is. Up until this tragic experience, Howie walked a few miles a day with his wife Ruby, loves spending time with his daughter Rebecca and her partner Vincent, and is a beloved brother, friend, uncle, cousin, and honorary grandpa to so many babies and children that he adores.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He enjoys cooking at home, traveling and having long discussions about literature and physics with his friends and neighbors while swimming at the local pool in Emerald Green. Howie has always been bewildered by the mysteries of the universe, and this is his biggest mystery yet. Any donation, big or small, means the world to our family during this difficult time.

<div><br />

</div>

<div>With heavy hearts, we share the devastating news that our beloved sister, Jomarie Calasanz, passed away on May 25, 2025. Her loss has left a deep void in our lives—she was an amazing person, beautiful inside and out, faithful, selfless, fierce, magnetic...

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Jomarie Calasanz has touched the lives of many with her voice, service, kindness, smile, laughter, generosity, and more. She was 26, and her passing was sudden and tragic for the family.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>On 5/25/25, family and friends drove up from LA area to Sequoia National Park for a day trip by the river. What was supposed to be a fun, bonding moment very quickly turned into a traumatic event that will stick with us forever. While taking the first dip of the day in deceivingly calm waters, Joanne, Jomarie's older sister, started to get swept away. With a brave loving heart and amazing courage, Jomarie, being a swimmer, instantly swam to save her sister. Both quickly got swept away into the rapids. While the river released Joanne, it is our deepest regret to inform everyone that Jomarie has not yet been found. Please continue to pray for her recovery, so that we may be reunited once more before we say our final goodbye.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>In her last moments she was a hero, we will honor her life by remembering her as such.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>As we grieve this heartbreaking loss, we are also faced with the financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses. We want to give Jomarie Calasanz the goodbye she truly deserves—a beautiful service that reflects the love and light she gave to everyone around her.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We’re asking for help to raise funds to cover:

</div>

<div><br />

<li>Medical expenses for Joanne's emergency visit

</li>

<li>Hotel accommodations in Sequoia for the family, while waiting for the recovery of Jomarie

<li>Transportation of Jomarie's body back to LA area

<li>Trauma therapy for the family

<li>Unexpected Costs

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you for your support, love, and prayers as we navigate this painful time. We know Jomarie was loved by many, and we hope this fundraiser brings people together to honor her legacy.

<div>UPDATE * 7/12
</div>
<div>With heavy hearts my uncle has passed away.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please allow us time to lay his body to rest. He will be taken to his hometown Huajumbaro, Michoacán. His wife and daughter are waiting for him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are still looking for justice. As he died due to the reckless ICE raid . He suffered a broken neck, fractured skull. Severed arterie.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My uncle Jaime was just a hard-working, innocent farmer. He has his wife and daughter waiting for him. He was chased by ICE agents, and we were told he fell 30ft. <strong>My uncle's life is in critical condition; doctors have told us he won’t make it.</strong> His injuries are catastrophic. His heart is still beating. God will make His decision.
</div>
<div>We ask for help to support his family that is back in Mexico. <strong>He was his family's only provider.</strong> They took one of our family members. We need justice.
</div>
<div>We are still investigating what happened. More details to come.

<div>Dear Community, we are reeling from the recent detentions of fourteen of our beloved fathers, sons, brothers, uncles: Tomas, Juan Fernando, Jose Paulino, Jacob, Miguel, Oscar, Uriel, Lazaro, Felimon, Ismael, Reynaldo, Luiz, Mario, and Jorge. Ranging in ages from 24 to 56.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What was a normal workday for them became a nightmare when ICE raided the Ambiance warehouse in Downtown LA and enacted unlawful mass collateral arrests where our relatives were unjustly arrested and kidnapped.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In our most dire moment of need, we turn to our chosen family and community for support as our family is facing urgent need for financial support. The kidnapping of 14 of our loved ones in one swoop is leaving fifteen families with young children, elders who rely on their caretaking, without their primary breadwinners and exacerbating existing struggles to make ends meet.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sadly one of our fourteen are now in San Isidro (we will still fight for their return), and are now securing legal representation for the others who we hope can be released on bond soon. We anticipate bond to be set between $1,500-$5K per person!! While we support them through this process, their families are left without their primary breadwinner and need financial support for daily childcare, food and bill expenses while they are detained.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The organizer of this fundraiser is directly related to three of the 14 families, but all are part of the broader Zapotec community and have authorized the organizer to gather and distribute funds under their guidance. La organizadora de esta campaña esta directamente relacionada con tres de las 14 familias, pero todas forman parte de la comunidad zapoteca y han autorizado a la organizadora para recaudar y distribuir los fondos bajo su supervisión.

<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div>The funds will go towards immediate material needs of families, which include paying rent, securing groceries, medications, transportation costs, childcare, baby formula, diapers, and the like, depending on the needs of each individual household.

<div><strong>Apoyo a familias tras redadas en sus lugares de trabajo en Los Ángeles.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />

Urgent Aid for LA Families of 14 Detained by ICE

<div>*** Urgent funds needed ***
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am urgently raising money for my coworker and dear friend, Carla. Carla is being deported by the US Government. She only has one month to appeal before is forced to leave. Carla moved here last April from Tapachula, Mexico to give her two year old daughter a better life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Carla is only 23 years old and an amazing mother. She’s an incredibly giving person and the best chef that I know. The legal fees for her appeal case total $4,200. If her appeal case is approved, she will be given two more years to figure out her daughter’s immigration status.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please donate to her legal fees if you are able. There is no donation too small. Carla and her daughter deserve the chance at life here. She is a pillar of our community at work and needs help fighting this case.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is urgent - we only have about one week to raise the money. Please share this Gofundme with anyone you know willing to donate. Thank you so much for your time!
</div>

Help Carla with Legal Fees for Immigration

<div>Hi everyone - I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of our dear friend Lor. For those who haven't had the pleasure of meeting Lor, they are a PhD student in sociology with me at UCLA. They are a community builder, brilliant scholar, and a firecracker of a person. They are the president of our Sociology Graduate Student Association, and have recently won awards in recognition of their incredible teaching &amp; service to our campus and undergraduate students. Under normal circumstances, it's impossible not to feel energized in Lor's presence.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, these are not normal times. Lor has been struggling with severe health issues for many months now, and it's only gotten worse. They've been juggling coursework, teaching, and research along with an endless parade of doctors' appointments, specialists, and labs. The most recent hypothesis is that Lor is fighting "Long COVID", which has triggered exacerbation of pre-existing conditions and additional new diagnoses. Over the past few months I have watched as Lor has struggled to walk, experienced terrifying fainting spells (including one that resulted in an ambulance being called in to statistics class), and now increasingly needs support for daily activities like eating and hygiene. The ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles have worsened their situation (adding not just anxieties but also difficulties due to the air quality).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So, this leads us to where we are today. It is no longer feasible for Lor to keep up their teaching and research responsibilities. They need to be able to take a medical leave of absence in order to prioritize doctor &amp; specialist visits, rest &amp; recovery, and figuring out some answers to these health mysteries. Unfortunately, the system is not set up to allow this. While our graduate student union has won 8 weeks of paid medical leave in our recent contract, we are not allowed to use this benefit while also on a leave from coursework. In order for Lor to go on a temporary leave from school, they must sacrifice their income. In a typical workplace, programs like State Disability Insurance (SDI) would be able to supplement this lost income. However, since graduate students are classified as "students" and not "employees", we are not eligible for SDI benefits. To top it all off, by going on a leave of absence from school, Lor will lose their health insurance, and along with it access to their primary care doctor and clinical coordinators at UCLA's student health center. They have the option to pay out-of-pocket for the insurance premium to keep their coverage - but the price is over $4,000 for one quarter (three months) of coverage. This outrageous price doesn't even include the cost of deductibles and copays.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Lor has done all of the right things. They have continuously advocated for themselves (while suffering from extreme fatigue), and reached out to all possible avenues such as the student disability center, campus case management, academic case management, and more. While everyone recognizes how vital it is for Lor to take time off from school, no one has been able to provide an answer for how they are supposed to financially do that. I have decided to create this GoFundMe as a last resort in hopes of supporting my wonderful friend. I have set the fundraising goal to what they will need in order to simply pay for their health insurance premium and replace their lost income for one academic quarter. Anything we raise above that will go towards supporting future medical and living expenses for Lor. It's not likely that these problems will solve themselves within a one quarter leave of absence, and there is a long road ahead, but I hope that our community can come together to help Lor along this journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read, share, and donate. Any amount makes a difference. Lor supports their community in everything they do, and I am hopeful that we can return the favor today.
</div>

AYA is a cafe, bar &amp; dance floor that hosts diverse programming nearly every night of the week including; social sport leagues, Queer youth socials, weekly karaoke, book clubs, open mics, Queer author events, dance parties, and much more! My wife Joey, and I are the co-founders of this Queer haven in Capitol Hill, DC and our entire team is a part of executing the mission of AYA existing to hold and cultivate a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community. While this community is our priority, everybody is welcome to join us in lovingly celebrating our magnificent Queer culture.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have faced some particularly tall and costly hurdles that have set us back significantly since the beginning. As we are tapping every resource we can imagine with creativity and open minds your support is always impactful. We work very hard to keep the space safe and affordable to the communities that have few spaces to come as they are. If you are able and willing to spread a little love our way it impacts so many beautiful people that, frankly, could use some love in today's climate.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>The funds raised will go toward continual growth, maintenance and support of this queer safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community! More specifically we are working on getting our patio up and running, maintining ACs and repairing some flooring in our 1940's building, and combating increased costs of business since, well, you probably know when the increases hit. If you are an ally, a community member or just saw us on the TODAY Show and want to send some love, this is a great avenue to help queer spaces continue to exist!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As You Are is the fruit of our community's labor, love, and loyalty. Together we have built a safe haven for so many from every part of the LGBTQIA+ community and our allies. Our team is committed to keeping the Queer community safe through fierce protection of the atmosphere and culture, diversifying our menu and programming to serve people from all walks, and keeping our space and services accessible and affordable. The team at AYA is made up of deeply invested Queer people that represent across many intersections and have contributed to the culture in ways there are not words to describe. Many of you know and love them, I know Joey and I sure do! We would be remiss not to shout them out and thank them for making AYA what it is with their love and due diligence.

<div>Hey ya'll,

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>For those who don't know me, my name is Ti (they/them), and I'm a Black, queer and nonbinary educator, theater maker, and performer. In July of this year, I suffered a concussion while at work. Given the demands of my job and obligations at the time, I was unable to rest and recuperate in the ways that I needed to. Because of that and the need to pay my bills, I still have not been able to fully recuperate from my concussion.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Fast forward ten weeks, and I'm still experiencing the debilitating effects of the concussion: I'm extremely sensitive to lights of any kind, so I wear sunglasses indoors and outdoors, which has also made it very difficult to work on a computer; I get nauseous very easily and am on prescribed medication for it; sounds of any kind can be incredibly overwhelming, so I have high-frequency earbuds on hand at all times; I'm exhausted most of the time, but sleep is not restful; my mental capacity to have conversations or understand things has been severely impacted; I'm experiencing depression and little motivation to meet my basic needs for the first time in years, which is a direct symptom of the concussion.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I've been working partly from home the last few weeks which, while helpful to a certain extent, still exacerbates my symptoms. Between the demands of work, the doctor's visits, the MRI, and scheduling appointments with a neurologist, it's getting harder to take care of myself physically, mentally, and financially.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I’ve decided that it’s best for to take medical leave from work so that I can finally focus wholeheartedly on my recovery, which is desperately needed. <span>This gofundme will allow me to support myself while on leave and will go towards</span><span> bills (rent, utilities, and medical), groceries, household essentials, and transportation to/from my appointments so that I can focus on rest and recuperation.</span>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If you are able to give, I would sincerely appreciate your support. I'm not the greatest at asking for help, but I've gotten to the point where I can't do this by myself anymore. Thank you so much for your love and support :)

<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello, my name is Tiffany and I am the little sister of Britney Joy and daughter of Sherie Smith.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mom and sister were tragically taken away from us way too soon in an accident involving a reckless driver in Houston. This was just as my sister, beloved TikToker Britney Joy, began rising up in fame for her 9-5 videos that hit the internet by storm. Everyone related to her stories and those of her characters.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, we were not adequately prepared to have to lay both my sister and mother to rest at the same time. This happened so suddenly and was truly something I could have never imagine. Losing my best friends.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please consider donating anything you can . It all helps.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For Britney Joy’s fans, we are hoping to do a memorial service for her and my mother to celebrate both lives.
</div>

<div>Many of you may have read the tragic news about the two Americans, Abby Lutz and John Heathco that lost their precious lives in a hotel room in Pescadero, BCS Mexico. What you may have not heard about are the two first responders that almost lost their lives as well, Fernando Valencia Sotelo and Grisel Valencia Sotelo. The brother and sister team were the attending to Abby and John when they quickly became overcome. They were able to exit the room just in time before Grisel collapsed to the ground. Fernando was able to get himself and Grisel back to their ambulance and administer oxygen to himself and to her. They were then rushed to the hospital by other team members. The hospital in La Paz did what they could but they do not have the proper treatment facilities. Today, since Grisel and Fernando were still feeling very ill and were very concerned about long-term effects, as a team we decided to take them to a private hospital in San Jose del Cabo. This is another and bigger out-of-pocket expense.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Firefighters and Paramedics of Pescadero (Bomberos Voluntarios de Pescadero) is a nonprofit, volunteer operation that has been selflessly serving the Pescadero community since 2007. Our chief, Griselda Lorena Sotelo Amaya, is the first female fire chief of Mexico and the loving mother of Fernando and Grisel. As we grieve for the families of Abby and John, we are overcome with emotion that our chief almost lost two of her own children on this terrible night.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have not received any compensation from any organization for their medical bills thus far. They were reluctant to go to the only hospital that has proper treatment facilities because of the cost so we are starting this go fund me to hopefully cover the cost of their treatment, any lost time off of work, and any ongoing medical care. Any extra money will go directly to the Bomberos Voluntarios de Pescadero to continue in their valiant efforts to try and keep this community safe. A tragedy like this must not be in vain. We have to all do better as a community to protect each other, local and foreigner alike.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We can only hope for peace and strength for the families of Abby and John. We wish we could have done more and every loss we attend to is a loss that is deeply felt.

<div>****Update*****
</div>
<div>Hello everybody,

</div>
<div>On behalf of Ralph and our entire family, thank you so much for your generosity. It has warmed our souls during an incredibly difficult time. Of course we never anticipated so much support for Ralph, but we wanted you to know that we are working with a certified financial advisor to establish a Trust to properly receive the funds and use them for all of the original purposes we described. All funds will be used for Ralph's benefit, as his well-being and safety is our highest priority. Right now we will continue to focus on Ralph's recovery, but in the future we are considering setting up a charity.

</div>
<div>Again, thank you so much for your support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>***Update on Ralph***
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph is currently at home with the family. He can ambulate and communicate. A true miracle considering what he survived.
</div>
<div>Each day is different. He has a long road ahead. However, we are very thankful that he is still here with us. I've been taking the time to read the emails and comments to Ralph. It warms our hearts to see him smile at all the kind words.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for loving Ralph
</div>
<div>----------------
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Thursday, April 13, 2023, my nephew Ralph P Yarl was on his way to pick up his twin younger brothers from their friend's house a few blocks away from his house. He didn't have his phone. He mistakenly went to the wrong house, one block away from the house where his siblings were. He pulled into the driveway and rang the doorbell. The man in the home opened the door, looked my nephew in the eye, and shot him in the head. My nephew fell to the ground, and the man shot him again. Ralph was then able to get up and run to the neighbor's house, looking for help.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, he had to run to 3 different homes before someone finally agreed to help him after he was told to lie on the ground with his hands up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph Pual Yarl is a fantastic kid, and I am not just saying this because he is my nephew. He truly is. At school, he is a member of the Technology Student Association and Science Olympia Team. Jazz and competition band. He is a section leader in the marching band; a scholar and one of the top bass clarinet players in Missouri. He recently earned Missouri All-State Band recognition with an honorable mention. He plays multiple instruments in the metropolitan youth orchestra. He is a 2022 Missouri scholar academy alumni. Ralph can often be found with a musical instrument. He loves them all.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Last summer, Ralph attended Missouri Scholar’s Academy, where he got a full college life experience. His goal is to attend Texas A&amp;M to major in chemical Engineering. When asked how he plans to get into this university, he said, “Well, if they have a scholarship for music or academics, I know I can get it.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph's teacher and friends describe him as “ a kind soul,” “quiet,” “friendly,” “well-mannered,” “always willing to help,” “super smart,” and a “musical genius.”
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph was looking forward to graduating high school and finally getting the opportunity to visit West Africa before starting college.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Life looks a lot different right now. Even though he is doing well physically, he has a long road ahead mentally and emotionally. The trauma that he has to endure and survive is unimaginable. He is our miracle. We have heard these types of stories many times, and unfortunately, most black boys are not alive to get another chance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ralph deserves to have the future that he has dreams about. He deserves to be the light that shows the world that LOVE wins and that humanity is still Good.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, he will need a lot of help to get there. Funds from this account will be used for his medical bills and therapy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any additional funds will be use for college expenses at Texas A&amp;M, a trip to West Africa, and other expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you
</div>

Ralph Yarl

<div>In 2018, Ember Charter School in the heart of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, <strong>took over 100 students and staff to South Africa for an unforgettable 6-week study abroad experience</strong>. The intention was to repeat this trip every two years to continue to expose our students to the benefits of studying abroad. However, the pandemic interrupted global travel, and now financial constraints <strong>threaten to halt the program altogether. We just CAN'T allow this! </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many people are unaware that the global study abroad experience is a story of massive inequity with the average student afforded this opportunity being white, female, and upper-middle-class.* This leaves out our entire school and community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>This 6-week study abroad experience will forever change the lives of our students. </strong>Research suggests that studying abroad cultivates intercultural competency and international awareness. We at Ember believe that every student- regardless of their home neighborhood or socio-economic status - deserves this opportunity to understand their place as contributors to the global community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>It will cost Ember over $600,000</strong> to cover costs associated with ordering passports for students, securing immunizations, booking air and ground travel, and covering lodging, food, and event/experience costs during travel. We hope to raise as much of these costs through this current campaign and then secure the rest through corporate matches and other fundraisers.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many of us have experienced the joy of Kevin and Miguel’s kindness and generosity. To be their friend, is to be their family and we readily help carry and offer financial support to them in this coming period of healing. Miguel, as a leader, business owner, colleague, and friend has built a thriving community in Chicago, México and beyond and with this fundraiser we hope they feel the embrace they so often provide to others.

<div><strong>Apoyo vital para Miguel Ángel Cervantes.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>En este momento Miguel cuenta con el apoyo y amor de su esposo Kevin Barrett, sus padres Salvador y Berna, su hermana Marlene y amistades cercanas.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

<div><strong> Fund Update 12/14/22:</strong> We held our first steering committee meeting last night and hope to publish our draft protocol for Eligibility in about a week, pending a few things we need confirmation on first. Once published, the protocol will be open for public comment online. We plan to hold a Public Townhall meeting in Colorado Springs the week of Jan 15, pending confirmation of venue. If you are in contact with anyone who was physically present at the club during the shooting, it is imperative that they sign up on the national compassion fund website for information so they continue to get this information and instructions. <a href="https://nationalcompassion.org/fund/club-q-victims-survivors-compassion-fund/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sign Up at the Bottom of This Page</a>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>We have a significant update to the fund as of today, Dec 4, 2022.</strong> When I started this fund two weeks ago, I intended to offset a few of the expenses victims would face, hopefully. The original goal was only $5k, but community generosity far exceeded that in mere hours. To date, we have received over $850,000 in donations for the victims.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve spent the last two weeks meeting with community members, speaking with victims of prior mass shootings, and seeking guidance from local and national professionals. Last week, a coalition of victims from previous mass shootings came to CO to urge the State and the Colorado Healing Fund to create a centralized fund where 100% of donations will go directly to the victims, and they chose not to do so.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The victims deserve 100% of what is donated to them, so I am announcing that this fund is joining forces with the National Compassion Fund (NCF) to create the Club Q Victims and Survivors Compassion Fund since our state would not. The National Compassion Fund was created after the Aurora Theater shooting by victim families after being re-victimized in Colorado and elsewhere by nonprofits. This is the only organization qualified and experienced in handling funds of this size for large groups of victims, as we have here. Our fund, any funds donated to VictimsFirst, and any funds donated directly to National Compassion Fund will all go into one centralized fund called the<strong> </strong><a href="https://nationalcompassion.org/fund/club-q-victims-survivors-compassion-fund/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Club Q Victims and Survivors Compassion Fund</strong></a>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What will happen now?</strong> The fund will remain open for those who want a place to donate, where 100% of the money will go directly to the victims to use as is best for them. ONLY the victims know what the best use of the funds means for them. Not me. Not the community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Then what?</strong> I have assembled a steering committee comprised of local LGBTQ community members and professionals, such as a trauma therapist, an attorney, victims from the Aurora shooting, a medical doctor, and others who have unique insight and experience so that together we can develop a protocol for the NCF to follow when administering funds. This protocol will be open for public comment and taken to the victims themselves before finalizing so that they are empowered to direct the funds meant for them. Once distributed, an audit will be completed so there is accountability on where the funds went.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why can’t you just give them the money right now?</strong> The size of the fund and the number of victims does not lend itself to the same administration requirements and safeties that smaller funds do. This is no longer a few thousand dollars to offset expenses; this is an ever-growing large amount of funding that must be equitably distributed to a group of victims in the double or even triple digits, many of whom haven't been identified yet. Blindly giving it out right now will result in some victims receiving nothing or not an equitable amount. That is the opposite of the right thing to do. There are resources available in this wonderful community for those immediate needs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why can’t you just create a local trust and give it out like you originally planned?</strong> We would essentially be creating the same process that already exists with the National Compassion Fund; it would take much more time and be costly. As more and more information and experiences were shared with me, this became the clear answer to achieve our promise of 100% directly to victims.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Who is in charge of the funds now?</strong> Control of how the funds are distributed stays with us. The NCF will administer the funds according to the protocol set by the local steering committee. NCF has the experience and the staffing to execute our protocol, validate victims to prevent fraud, and audit the fund for transparency in a way I cannot manage myself.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will continue to update regularly on when the steering committee is meeting, when the protocol is open for comment, when it is finalized, and when funds are administered. This is a longer process than you might wish it were, but this will ensure the victims receive ALL that is given to them and that our funds do NOT prevent them from receiving other help or having public aid taken away, as had happened in other shootings when funds were distributed too soon.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The victims whose contact info I have will be updated privately, and their info will be shared with NCF so that a centralized list can be compiled. It may take a day or so to see the Club Q Victims and Survivors Compassion Fund appear on the NCF website.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For all questions, please email <a href="https://nationalcompassion.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">[email redacted]</a>, call [phone redacted], or see <a href="https://nationalcompassion.org/faq" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://nationalcompassion.org/faq/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://nationalcompassion.org/faq/</a></a> for questions on how it works.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We will leave the fund open, so please keep sharing.

100 percent going to the Club Q Victims

<div>For those of you that don’t know, Nancy was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer on November 4. Not only was it devastating news, but a complete shock, as she was training for a half marathon 2 months prior and thought she had a mere cold one month before the diagnosis. In true Nancy style, after receiving the diagnosis, she “gave [herself] 30 min to cry about it alone, then decided it was time to move on and figure out the next step.” She didn’t complain once, but rather was more concerned how her family and friends would cope with the news, and wondering if she should cut off her hair immediately so she could donate it to Locks of Love. Her strength, selflessness and unwavering positive perspective are beyond inspiring. She is the ultimate role model.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although she does have health insurance, it will cover only 80% of medical costs and Nancy is liable for the remaining 20% of the costs. Costs of stage 4 cancer treatment typically range anywhere from $200,000-$500,000. Not only are the exponential treatment costs a concern, but Nancy will have to take extended time off work. Obviously Nancy would never complain or ask for anything, but we don’t want her to have to stress about finances on top of everything else… hence the reason for sending this to you. There is definitely no pressure to give money, but if you feel moved to contribute to her medical expenses, the link is below. And if not, more importantly, please send positive thoughts, love, support and prayers!!!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nancy is the strongest, most resilient, loving, selfless, compassionate, sincere, fearless, direct, loyal, beautiful, optimistic, stubborn fighter there is, and if anyone can beat this cancer, it’s her. As one of her friends eloquently stated, “it’s time for Nancy to put that spicy attitude to work and kick this cancer’s ass.” Amen. However, that will require love and support from all of you, and I’m very grateful that she has so many people to provide that for her. Please send this on to anyone that may have been missed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for all you are to her ❤️

<div>HELP PRESERVE HISTORIC BLACK WOMEN’S AID GROUP WITH UNDERGROUND RAILROAD ROOTS
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One of the oldest Black women’s aid groups in the United States urgently needs your help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The United Order of the Tents is a secret society that has worked quietly for more than 150 years to care for Black women and children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But in recent years, its historic Eastern headquarters in Bed-Stuy has come under threat due to bad contractors, financial hardship, and opportunistic property developers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, the Brooklyn Tents needs YOUR help to ensure its legacy can be protected for future generations.
</div>
<div><br />

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/66085575_1655854778470244_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>About The Tents
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The United Order of Tents is one of the country's first Black women’s benevolent societies, initially founded in 1848 to provide aid to enslaved people via the Underground Railroad. For more than 75 years, the women of the Eastern District Tents have been quietly fulfilling their mission to feed the hungry, tend to the sick, bury the dead, help raise children and care for the elderly here in Brooklyn.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Its Eastern District headquarters is the once-opulent mansion at 87 MacDonough Street, which has hosted meetings, weddings, and luncheons and has been a center for mutual aid since the Tents bought it in 1945. This historic home was built in 1863, is listed on the New York State and National Register of Historic Places, and sits in Stuyvesant Heights, a historic district. It is a beacon of history for the Tents and the community. Unfortunately, today we are struggling to save our home and rebuild our organization in the Eastern District. We hope to continue to be a beacon of hope in the Bed-Stuy community.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are embarking on a campaign to grow our membership and protect our legacy for decades. For more than a century, secrecy has served as our bond and protection, but it has also prevented the public from knowing about our great work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/66085575_1655854795140668_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Challenges
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In the last few years, the headquarters of the Brooklyn Tents has fallen into disrepair. With dues dropping due to members passing away, the society has struggled to find money to pay for the property’s upkeep.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Several years ago, the Tents sold a large part of their land in Bed-Stuy to restore the historic villa to its former glory. A contractor was paid to do the work, but sadly, the women of the Tents say workers did significant damage to the building.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The mansion is still in operation as the Tents Brooklyn headquarters, the center of the group’s mutual aid work. Still, the women now work in a building with half-done construction, boarded-up windows, a leaky roof, faulty wiring, and no radiators.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Plus, due to its location, the Tents have been repeatedly targeted by property prospectors hoping to acquire their headquarters for profit.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/66085575_1655854813690685_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What The Tents Need
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Tents are raising $250,000 to do the following repair work on their headquarters at 87 MacDonough Street and make sure their legacy is preserved for future generations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, they urgently need money to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>● Replace a leaky roof ($24,138)
</div>
<div>● Replace ceiling and floors from water damage ($18,894)
</div>
<div>● Complete renovation of walls inside of the building ($31,297)
</div>
<div>● Refurbished the front of the building ($25,427)
</div>
<div>● Restore all the windows ($12,091)
</div>
<div>● Replace the door in the basement ($1,024)
</div>
<div>● Replace electrical wiring throughout the building ($7,000)
</div>
<div>● Installation of radiators in the building ($4,000)
</div>
<div>● Replace the fire escape ($1,400)
</div>
<div>● Replace masonry steps going into the basement ($2,000)
</div>
<div>● Replace water pipes inside and outside of the building ($10,000)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The items above are a start to a long-term project that needs significant financing. Please give generously to ensure the Tents can continue its excellent work, keep its home in Bed-Stuy, and be remembered.

<div>Hi, my name is Cassandra and my friend Julie’s house burned down on 2/15/22 where she was living with her 9 month old daughter and her mother. She lost all her and her baby’s possessions and they are homeless and devastated by this tragedy. Any contributions would help this beautiful family recover, <strong>even $1 would help Julie and her family find a permanent place to stay, clothing and other necessities.</strong> Even a repost would mean the world to them. Thank you so much.

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This Gofundme is to help raise money for my mother to afford a used car.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A few months ago, her car broke down and ever since then she has had to share a car with my brother. The insurance company has given us some money, but we need another thousand dollars to be able to get her a somewhat reliable car.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help us reach this goal. This has been a big burden on my younger brother who is just trying to establish himself in college. My mother has also been burdened not being able to work as much. In one week my mom is turning 60 years old and I can't think of a better way to celebrate her birthday than to give her some money to put towards a car. Whatever you can donate means the world to me and our family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Warmly,
</div>

Help Mom get a car

<p>There are no weekends in war. There's no time off. Every day feels like the one before. You find peace in your sleep, until somewhere around the 365th day you get to go home. We spent two years like this, patrolling the Hindu Kush, dividing our time between fighting with the Taliban and talking with locals. Sometimes they were the same people. The only way we knew who was who depended solely on our Afghan interpreters.<br /><br /><iframe media_type="0" media_id="WKgabXE3hKk" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/WKgabXE3hKk/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe>
</p>

<p>Our two interpreters haven't had a weekend in years. They've been at war their whole lives. Just as their parents were. Just as their children will be. The Taliban are currently steamrolling toward Kabul. Toward our interpreters, our friends. They placed a magnetic bomb under one's car. He lost his leg and eye. His children in the back were spared.
</p>
<img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/59073925_1628813532327281_r." alt="" width="100%" media_type="3" />
<p>These two men have families. Each has a wife. Both have five children. That's fourteen people. Because they worked with US Army they meet the criteria to receive a visa, but without the requisite paper trail required by an out of touch and harder to reach bureaucracy their application remains in limbo. Our word wasn't sufficient. We've been waiting weeks for guidance on how to proceed. In the meantime, the country's folding in on itself.
</p>
<img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/59073925_1628817021262506_r." alt="" width="100%" media_type="3" />
<p>We haven't used their names yet and won't. You'll see their faces pictured here have been obscured. They're being hunted and we need to help them. We need money. We don't even know how much. If the visa application goes through, they'll need a few thousand just to get passports, documents translated, and pay for travel and accommodations. If Kabul falls in a week, we'll need to buy plane tickets to evacuate fourteen people. Pay for food and shelter until we can get their visas approved. Anything left over will be split equally among the families to resettle. They can't simply wait for refugee status. Not with targets painted on their backs.
</p>
<img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/59073925_1628817059469711_r." alt="" width="100%" media_type="3" />
<p>"Thank you for your service."
</p>

<p>We, Dave and Hank, have heard that hundreds of times. Mostly in earnest. Sometimes a mere platitude. How many times have you said it? What did you mean when you spoke those words? Beneath them is an admission that service members did something most Americans never do. In a land of individuals, they put their life on the line for others.
</p>
<img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/59073925_1628817082188957_r." alt="" width="100%" media_type="3" />
<p>Our interpreters put their lives on the line for us. They're still putting them up. Their families too. We have to get them all out of there. Our friends are depending on us and we are depending on you--our friends, our family, our colleagues, our neighbors, our fellow citizens.
</p>

<p>Please give.
</p>

<p>Then it will be our turn to thank you for your service.<br /><br />--Henry Hughes &amp; David Roller, once captains, always humans

Help Our Interpreters

I am starting an initiative to provide free safety alarms for Asian Americans in NYC. I am asking all of you to please help make a tangible difference and do something to #StopAsianHate.<br /><br />I’m not sure how I can even begin to describe how I’ve been feeling the past few months. Watching daily videos and news stories of our AAPI brothers and sisters get beat up on the street, set on fire, slashed with knives, called racial slurs, have their businesses destroyed, and even murdered—that takes a toll on you. It’s a mixture of debilitating grief, white-hot anger, and shock from the sobering realization of how LITTLE people in this country care about Asian American lives. But it’s also a swelling gratitude for the allies that have shown up, spoken out, and fought for us. But now what? <br /><br />After the media attention of the Atlanta mass shooting has expired, after #StopAsianHate stops trending, we see hate crimes still happening every single day. We’re left to live with this fear. I feel HELPLESS. I don’t know how to fix this. I’m not a politician or a community organizer. I’m just a native New Yorker who happens to be an Asian-American woman and I’m TIRED of seeing this happening to my community. I just want to do something tangible that serves my community. We need to take care of each other. The fear of walking outside or taking the subway right now is real. And since I can’t legally buy and distribute pepper spray, personal alarms are a great protection when walking outside alone—they emit an ear-piercing loud alarm sound when pulled which discourages attackers and draws attention to you while also notifying bystanders. It’s not perfect, but I feel a little more protected walking down the street at night.<br /><br />To request a safety alarm, email <strong>[email redacted]</strong> with your name, who the alarm is for, and mailing address and I’ll ship one to you directly. A portion of the alarms will be donated to senior community centers and pharmacies in Chinatown and Flushing. I will fulfill requests until the donated funds run out! <br /><br />Please share this fundraiser with your friends and family. Let's #StopAsianHate together ♥️

Safety Alarms for Asians in NYC

On April 11th, our 20-year-old son, Daunte Wright Sr., was fatally shot and killed by a Brooklyn Center police officer during a routine traffic stop. Our family is distraught as we struggle to understand why our loved one was taken away from us in such a senseless manner.  <br /><br />All funds raised through this site will go towards covering funeral and burial expenses, mental health and grief counseling for Daunte's family,  to help the Wright family in their fight for justice, and to provide support for family.  100% of the funds raised on this site will go to the Wright family. NO PART OF THESE FUNDS WILL BE USED TOWARDS LEGAL FEES.  The road to justice is very long, and the Wright family will not let what happened to Daunte be forgotten. The officer(s) who took his life must be held responsible. <br /><br />Frequently Asked Questions:<br /><br />1. Who am I and how am I related to the Daunte Wright, Sr.? The fund was established by Kelly Bryant (Daunte’s aunt), and is being managed by Adner Marcelin of Ben Crump Law.  <br /><br />2. Can I contribute to the family’s legal fund? No. While our family appreciates your generosity, our family is unable to accept money for the purposes of legal fees. All funds designated for such purposes will be returned.<br /><br />3. Are there other ways I can contribute to the Wright family? Yes.  Anyone wishing to send cards, letters of encouragement or contributions in the form of a check may do so by mail at:<br /><br /> <br />The Daunte Wright Memorial Fund<br />c/o Ben Crump Law, PLLC<br />122 S. Calhoun Street<br />Tallahassee, FL 32301<br />Attn: Adner Marcelin<br /><br />Please note that all checks, cashier’s checks and/or money orders must be made payable to: Katie Wright  <br /><br />4. How will the funds be transferred to the family? 100% percent of funds raised through this site will be transferred to the Wright family in an account designated by Daunte’s parents. The funds will be managed and spent at the parents' sole discretion, and they will have 100% ownership rights of all funds collected here.<br /><br />5. Who can I call if I have questions about this fund &amp; to whom should inquiries be directed? If anyone needs further information or has concerns about this campaign, please contact Adner Marcelin of Ben Crump Law, PLLC. Members of the general public may email [email redacted]. All media inquiries should be sent to [email redacted] using their official work e-mail. My step-sister <strong>Ying Tan "Jami" Webb</strong> was the only child of Xiaojie “Emily” Tan, one of the victims of the mass shooting that occurred in Georgia on March 16th.  I am creating this campaign on Jami’s behalf.<br /><br />This unspeakable loss has left Jami in shock, trying to dealing with this incomprehensible trauma. We, her extended family, are rallying around her, attempting to comfort her, even as we try to protect her from the overwhelming attention by the press and curious, compassionate strangers. Jami is a gentle soul and normally a private person, but this has forced her into the spotlight so she can give voice to the legacy of her beloved mom. I invite you to click the links provided below to learn more about Jami’s mom.<br /><br />Jami and her mom where the only two from her family to immigrate to the US, so in the wake of this tragedy, Jami is separated from her Chinese relatives, by distance and by the pandemic. Jami’s support network here in the US is small, and we are doing our best to make sure she is taken care of, but she has suffered an immeasurable loss.  Xiaojie was an extraordinary woman--as Jami said to me, "My mom was petite and fierce! She was a feminist without meaning to be, and even gave me her name, which is rare in Chinese culture."  Xiaojie loved her life in the US, and worked really hard to provide for her family—she was financially supporting her sister and mother in China. Jami is heartbroken that she will never get to travel with her mom again, but intends to bring her mother's remains home to Nanning as soon as she can travel safely. She and her family are planning a burial and services for Xiaojie in China.<br /><br /> We recognize that this mass shooting is a hugely evocative tragedy, and that many people around the country feel affected by it. It has come to our attention that many people want to help and support Jami, and she is touched and honored by this expression of care.<br /><br /> In addition, as the days pass, and the awful reality begins to settle in, we realize that Jami has plenty of unforeseen expenses including extensive funeral costs, traveling back to China with her mom's remains, caring for her Chinese relatives as they all figure out the way forward, plus the expenses involved in settling her mother’s affairs, and potential legal fees since her mother’s death is part of a murder investigation. <br /><br /> Any sudden loss of a beloved parent is terrible, but to have it happen in this violent horrific and painfully public way is excruciating.  Jami and her adopted father (who is also my stepfather) are longing for space and peace so they can begin to heal. Of course, there is no material or financial support that can mitigate Jami’s pain, but whatever we raise will at least help alleviate some of the extraneous stressors.<br /><br /> <strong>Ying Tan "Jami" Webb is the sole beneficiary of this campaign</strong>, and every penny received will go to Jami and her efforts to recover from this trauma.<br /><br /> Thank you so much for your concern, and generosity.<br /><br />In Grief &amp; Gratitude,<br />Lauren<br /><br /><br />PS. Words from Jami, as I was putting this together and asked if she wanted to add anything:<br /><br />“My mom  taught me the power of smiles and laughter. People noticed how happy she was.  Please spend more time with your loved ones, like it could be your last day with them.”<br /><br />非常感谢你们给予我们关爱和支持，我们感谢于心，感恩于怀。<br />Ying Tan<br />谭颖<br /><br /><a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/03/18/stop-asian-hate-atlanta-shooting-victim-mother-business-owner/4754151001/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Honoring Xiaojie</a> <br /><br /><a href="https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/21/us/metro-atlanta-shootings-sunday/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaojie Legacy</a>

ATL Spa Shooting Family Survivor Fund: Jami Webb

My mother, Hyun Jung Grant( maiden name Kim), was one of the victims of the shootings in Atlanta, Georgia at Gold Spa. This is something that should never happen to anyone. She was a single mother who dedicated her whole life to providing for my brother and I. It is only my brother and I in the United States. The rest of my family is in South Korea and are unable to come. She was one of my best friends and the strongest influence on who we are today. Losing her has put a new lens on my eyes on the amount of hate that exists in our world. As much as I want to grieve and process the reality that she is gone, I have a younger brother to take care of and matters to resolve as a result of this tragedy. Frankly, I have no time to grieve for long. I will need to figure out the living situation for my brother and I for the next few months, possibly year. As of now I have been advised to move out of my current home within the end of March to save money and find a new place to live. My biggest priority right now is to put my mother to rest and plan out the funeral but due to some legal complications, I am unable to obtain my mother's body. I don't think I'll be able to figure out this whole situation along with legal matters if given 2 weeks to move out. Any donation will be used as funds for basic living necessities for my brother and I such as food, bills, and other expenses. I wish to stay in my current home for at least one more month to sort everything out. Any amount would be forever appreciated. Please everyone just stay safe and check up on your friends and loved ones that may feel endangered.

In memory of HyunJungKim to support my brother & I

<font color="#333333">Update 5/4/21: We just got word from Christina that her spitfire grandma, Nana, died peacefully in her sleep. In two months Christina lost both her amazing mom Rita and now her grandma, after advocating so diligently for her safety, security, and well-being without any familial guidance whatsoever. It was an unimaginable feat. Nana was dear friend’s last remaining family member. Christina has shouldered financial and emotional burdens that are unbearable to imagine in the past two months. She has done so gracefully and with epic goddess warrior strength. I know I’ve asked before, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for responding in March... If you have got a penny to spare, this soul needs more support. She needs love, messages, hugs, and chocolate too. I thank you from her. I know you can only imagine the utter heartbreak. Thank you so much. <br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Hello everyone! I am coming to you asking for your compassion, your prayers, your energy, and any resources you have to help our beloved Christina. She just found out her sweet mom Rita died today unexpectedly. It was tragic and Christina is heartbroken, understandably. Her Nana was being taken care of full time by her mom and there will be so much sudden change in their near future. Please consider supporting Christina and Nana financially as they prepare for Rita’s celebration of life. They need us very much right now. <br /></font><br /><br /><br />For those of you asking for specifics, if you have any connections with regard to Medicare-accepting living arrangements for Christina’s grandma that would be so appreciated. <br /><br />Floral/funeral donations, catering donations, flight points are all appreciated. A meal train would be wonderful to start in Minnesota when Christina and Jon get home. Anything helps.
