<div>For those who do not know yet, <strong>Jim and Allie Bourdy sustained unimaginable loss today.</strong> Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina, causing massive, devastating destruction. No one could imagine this would happen. North Carolina has not seen this level of flooding in over 100 years.

<div>Jim, Allie, and Piper attempted to leave early this morning and were surrounded by 3-4 feet of water. Left with no other choice, they had to return home. The flood became so bad they had to use workout foam blocks as flotation devices and were able to make it to a neighbor's roof where they waited for help. All the while, waters continued to rise, reaching just under the gutters of the roof they were on! I can not imagine the fear they were experienced. Thankfully, a kayaker was able to get Jim, Allie, Piper, and the neighbor to safety, one by one.

<div><strong>Jim and Allie lost everything.</strong> The contents of the home they loved, 2 cars, and every irreplaceable possession they owned! (The full extent of the damage is still to be assessed). They escaped with only the clothes on their backs, but thankfully they are all safe! They will need help rebuilding their lives. For all that know Jim and Allie, you know what an amazing couple they are. They are always helping others out, always a ray of light! Lets make this horrible experience into something a little less horrible.

<div>Nearly a year ago, I had a total colectomy (my colon removed). I had been extremely sick for at least a year and a half prior. The colectomy has not achieved the results we were looking for; this is causing me to get an ileostomy pouch on April 24th. Due to soon missing nearly six weeks of work to not only heal physically but also mentally and emotionally, essentially learning to live a new life with a pouch attached to my body, I am asking for help. Help to pay bills, buy essentials, supplies that Medicaid doesn’t cover and possibly new clothes if what I currently own does not work well with an ostomy pouch.

It is too soon to tell how expensive his treatment will be, but we would like to start raising funds for his medical stay, which is expected to be longterm. Emergency help for Brendan Ingersol

Logan Jozwiak was born on November 11, 2015.  Before he was born, his parents Danny and Megan knew he was going to be in need of heart surgery.  Eleven days after his birth he had open heart surgery to repair a small hole and crossed arteries.  Since then Logan has been healthy baby boy.  Active and happy for his age.  Last week (January 30, 2016) Logan started having shortness of breath.  After arriving at the hospital he went into cardiac arrest where hospital staff performed CPR for 45 minutes.  They were able to revive him.  On Tuesday (February 2, 2016) he had surgery again at which time doctors were to perform a valve replacement.  They found his heart was not functioning 100% and were not sure that his heart would accept the new valve.  Sunday (February 7, 2016) he will have a pacemaker put in because his heart is not beating properly.<br /><br />Although they have insurance, we are collecting to help Megan and Danny for the extra financial burden that insurance will not cover.  Please keep Logan and his family in your prayers throughout their journey.<br /><br />Thank you to everyone.
