Hello, my name is Precious Moore. I am a mother from Chicago, Illinois, raising funds for myself and my children/Family after a house fire damaged the entire first floor of our home. Thankfully, my Family and I escaped safely. However, the Chicago Fire Department confirmed that carbon monoxide was present and instructed us not to enter or stay inside the unit until the fire damage is repaired and the home is officially declared safe. This fundraiser is not connected to the Nevada wildfires or any other natural disaster. It is for a personal residential house fire that occurred at our family’s home in Chicago. My children and I are temporarily staying with family and friends, but we urgently need to obtain a hotel room where we can stay safely while the necessary repairs are completed. The fire damage is estimated at approximately $4,000, and we now have additional expenses for temporary lodging, food, toiletries, transportation, and other necessities. I will withdraw the donations into my personal bank account and use the money for the following expenses: • Temporary hotel accommodations for my children and me • Food, toiletries, and essential daily supplies • Transportation during our displacement • Fire-related recovery expenses and replacing damaged necessities I am the organizer of this fundraiser and the mother of the children who will directly benefit from the donations. I will be responsible for managing the money and using it only for the purposes described above. Any donation will help, regardless of the amount.
