I am, Richard Maxey, and I am the Project Manager for the Westchester Migratory Bird Sanctuary. The Sanctuary was hit with the derecho on August 11, 2026. Because we are a non-for-profit, we use donations to help fund the sanctuary. It is 501c3. I am reaching out to gather community support for this incredible organization, which is dedicated to protecting our natural landscapes, and wildlife habitat for Migratory birds. As well as to, to provide a quiet place within the town to enjoy nature at it's finest, while walking the trails, or sitting in one of the gazebos. The Sanctuary hopes to continue a sustainable environment for future generations. By contributing to this campaign, you are helping to ensure that their vital work continues, and the clean up from the derecho storm on 8/11/26. Your donations will directly support initiatives that make a difference, such as: Clean up the massive debris, remove the fallen trees, in and around the Sanctuary.
