<div>James is our inspirational son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, uncle, friend, colleague — and a true shining light.

<div>Throughout his life, James carried a genuine wish and purpose:

<div>“To inspire others to heal.”

<div>And he truly did. In ways big and small, seen and unseen, he over-delivered on that purpose while he was with us.

<div>Now that James has left us, we want to continue what he started.

<div>We will be establishing The James Barker Foundation (name TBC), a charitable foundation in his name. Its purpose will be to support individuals on their healing journeys — emotionally and/or physically — through encouragement, connection and, where possible, financial assistance.

<div>Setting up a registered charitable foundation will take a few weeks.

</div>

<div>In the meantime, for those who have kindly asked how they can donate now, we have created this GoFundMe page. All funds raised will be transferred to the foundation once it is formally established.

James, inspiring others to heal.

Many of you know Dylan Thomas sadly passed away last September 2019. He was only 13 years old... No parent should ever have to bury their own child.


Dylan became ill all of a sudden and was taken into Colchester Hospital, they did lots of test’s on him and decided it was best to sedated him and move him to Addenbrookes hospital, where he was looked after and cared for in Intensive care.


Sadly Dylan never came home and was Buried on Friday, the 11th of October 2019..

It has been a very emotional and difficult time for Sharon and Andy and all the family and close friends..

I’m trying to take some of the pressure off of them by raising a little bit of money for his headstone as I nearly fell off my chair when they told me the price it will cost them.

I’am not asking for loads of money just a little to give Dylan the headstone he deserves.


If we raise enough money for the headstone the rest of the money will be donated to Acorn house where Sharon and Andy stayed while Dylan was there,  but also for PICU Ward so they can have their own ambulance as Dylan had to wait for one, that came all the way from London
