<div>My name is Danski, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my brother Cane. In the early hours of this morning, his home was devastated by a house fire, and he has lost almost everything he owns.

<div>Cane is a hardworking carpenter, a big brother, and a strong father figure to many. He’s been independent since he was 14 and has always worked tirelessly to build a life for himself. He’s the kind of person who would give anything to help someone else, and now he’s the one who needs support.

<div>The fire took nearly everything he owns. The only things that made it out were him and his dog. We are of course incredibly grateful that he and his dog made it out safely, but he has still lost everything he owns. He has lost all of his belongings, including clothes and everyday essentials. His phone was also destroyed in the fire, leaving him completely cut off and unable to communicate or organise work in the aftermath of such a devastating event.

<div>Whilst he begins the process of rebuilding and arranging support, we’re trying to raise funds to help him with immediate essentials like clothing, food, temporary accommodation, and basic necessities to get through the coming days.

Help Cane after House fire

<div>My name is Ray Sherry. I am a liver transplant recipient.
</div>

<div>My personal journey started in 2005 when I was diagnosed with a rare condition called Primary Sclerosis Cholangitis (PSC) which would one day require a liver transplant.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, I was incredibly lucky to receive a transplant at the Royal Free Hospital, London. My journey from recovery through to full fitness has been amazing, not least since I joined the Royal Free Transplant Cycling Team. Since then I've taken part in 3 British Transplant Games, with the goal of qualifying for the World Transplant Games, Dresden in August 2025, as part of the Great Britain Team.

<div>After working very hard over the past 3 years my dream of representing my country is about to come true. Winter training has been excellent and I'm giving myself a really good chance of a podium place.
</div>

<div>Now I need your donations to get to the games and to take part in either the 10K or 20K time trial and the 30K road race. The money raised will be used purely for the purpose of getting to and participating in the games. This includes:-

Help Ray Get to Dresden for the World Transplant Games

<div>We would like to raise some money to support Samantha (Sam), aged 38 married to Jay (Jamie) and mum to George and Lorelai as they all face the reality of losing Sam's cancer battle soon.

<div>Sam's journey is a testament to her resilience and determination in the face of adversity. A dynamic and unapologetic woman, Sam has battled cancer not once, but twice, with her latest diagnosis sadly one she is unable to battle anymore.
</div>

<div>Sam's battle with cancer began in 2010 when she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. She overcame this initial diagnosis, but her fight was far from over.
</div>

</div>
<div>In May 2023, just three weeks after fulfilling her lifelong dream of opening her own bar, Sam received devastating news. She was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma, a rare type of cancer affecting bones and soft tissues. The tumour was located on a nerve behind her left shoulder collarbone, initially presenting as carpal tunnel syndrome.

<div>Despite undergoing a series of operations and radiotherapy to remove the tumour, Sam was left with her left arm 90% paralysed due to the removal of nerves controlling it. Her recovery was progressing until a fall in January 2024 led to the discovery that the tumour had returned in her shoulder and spread to both lungs. At this point, her condition was deemed terminal. Her initial prognosis was up to 18 months, sadly after battling through further chemotherapy she has had the horrific news that she will lose her battle with cancer in only a few months.

<div>Sam's Passion and Business

<div>Sam's bar, The Library, which opened on May 21, 2023, was the realisation of a childhood dream. It was conceived as a craft beer and handmade cocktail bar, serving tapas-style food. More importantly, it was designed to be an inclusive venue for the Aylesbury community, welcoming people from all walks of life. Sam created not only a bar but a safe haven which quickly became a community hub for anyone in the area who just wanted to feel like they belonged. Everyone loves Sam because she is like a mum, friend, sister, ride or die bestie to everyone who walks through the door.

<div>The bar quickly became a hub for various events, including:

<div>Weekly quiz nights (personally written by Sam and her staff)

<div>Monthly drag performances by the house Sexwell (an Aylesbury-based drag family)

<div>Sam's dedication to creating an inclusive and vibrant space was evident in the bar's popularity and its embrace by the local LGBTQ+ community. Sam was also instrumental in supporting the first PRIDE event locally with the bar at the centre.

<div>In addition to her vibrant personality, potty mouth and entrepreneurial spirit, Sam has always been drawn to the mystical, magical world. She has a deep love for crystals and their purported healing properties. Crystals like citrine, known for its ability to promote courage and abundance, resonate with Sam’s fighting spirit. Selenite, a master cleanser stone, symbolises purification and strength during her battle against cancer.

<div>These mystical elements bring comfort and positivity into her life during this challenging time. They serve as reminders of hope and resilience, enhancing her emotional well-being as she navigates this journey.

<div>Sam also is a keen cubs leader which she adores doing with her son George. She loves long walks in the countryside, doors (yes actual doors), live music gigs, lots of laughs with her friends and she loves getting people together for a good meal.

<div>Current Situation

<div>Despite her determination, Sam's health has begun to deteriorate faster than anticipated. She has been unable to work at the bar since April due to her treatments and the loss of use in her left arm. The stress of running the bar without being physically present has become overwhelming, taking away precious time she could be spending with her children and family.
</div>

</div>
<div>Sam is heartbroken about having to close the bar, but she's proud of what she accomplished in its first year of operation. She has been trying to find buyers to continue the business after she's gone, but unfortunately, time has run out.
</div>

</div>
<div>As Sam faces this final battle with cancer, she wishes to spend her remaining time creating special moments with her husband Jay and children George and Lorelai. The fundraising effort aims to support Sam's end-of-life care and allow her to make the most of her time with her loved ones.
</div>

<div>We would also like to support Jay and the children after Sam has left us to ensure that they have what they need.

<div>My 23 year old son makes stunning bespoke furniture in rural Norfolk. He started his business in 2020 after completing his A levels and not being able to do a fine furniture degree at university due to Covid.

<div>He's put his heart and soul into his business. He works 16 plus hours a day, 7 days a week and employs other young local lads. He's never taken a wage, but invested everything he could to purchase good quality tools to deliver the best quality furniture to his customers and safety for his staff. He buys local, and buys British. He's currently freely giving his time and expertise restoring a bomb shell as a donations box for the Help the Heroes charity.

<div>His dream has now been devastated by theft, on Tuesday night 22nd October two men broke into his workshop and stole everything they could move. Using our wheelbarrows to remove everything. They sneaked across a field and disabled our lights and cameras and wreaked carnage. They took everything he's worked so hard for, including tools he's been brought by his beloved Grandpa who sadly died 7 weeks ago. Jacob selflessly helped me care for his Grandpa for the last 18 months through cancer and is still realing from this loss. To face losing his business on top is just heartbreaking. His insurance will cover only around a 1/3 of the value of his losses, without these tools he will go under and we cannot afford to replace everything. The impact of this will be devastating to the young men he employs as well.
