In memory of Courtney Marie Carter Patricia is creating this fundraiser in loving memory of her daughter, Courtney Marie Carter, who passed away on August 18, 2024. Courtney was born on January 5, 2015, at 1:03, and from the very beginning, her story was marked by something beautiful: a rainbow. For Patricia, that rainbow has always felt like a sign of the bright light Courtney would bring into the world and the message she leaves behind now: that love never dies, it lives on. Courtney was Patricia’s baby girl, her little shadow, and a light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She was smart, beautiful, loving, and full of personality. Courtney loved butterflies, flowers, pretty shoes, doing hair and nails, helping people, and being right by her family’s side. Her big, beautiful brown eyes, bright smile, and unforgettable spirit made a difference everywhere she went. Since losing Courtney, Patricia has been carrying a heartbreak no parent should ever have to endure. On top of that, Courtney’s two brothers witnessed her passing, leaving this family to cope with unimaginable trauma while trying to move forward one day at a time. As Patricia grieves the loss of her daughter, she is also trying to recover after being in a car accident, and she is facing this season feeling very alone. Right now, Patricia especially needs help with daily living costs as she heals, manages her responsibilities, and supports her sons through this devastating loss. This support will help take some of the pressure off while Patricia focuses on getting through each day and continuing to seek justice for Courtney.
