- Unfortunately, I need to ask for assistance to help Zoey with knee surgery that is scheduled for April 7th, 2026. She has been diagnosed with Patellar Luxation, grade 3 out of 4, and has a torn CCL in her left knee. The surgical repair for the Patellar Luxation typically includes Trochleoplasty, Tibial Tuberosity Transposition, and Soft Tissue Adjustment. To repair the CCL tear, she will need TPLO surgery, Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy. Her prognosis after surgery is excellent and Zoey's recovery time is estimated at 8-12 weeks. Zoey's surgery will be performed at OSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Orthopedic Surgery Service. The estimate for Zoey's surgery and the CT Scan she needs is $8019.40-$9893.40, which is more than I've been able to come up with. Most of you probably know that Zoey is my trained service dog and goes everywhere with me. I depend on her to assist me when I need to do any tasks outside of my home, like medical appointments, grocery shopping, or just going for a walk. For Zoey to continue being my service dog she really needs this surgery. I've had her since August 16th, 2021. She has been my rock since unexpectedly losing my son in a horrific motorcycle accident. I'm grateful for any help and all of the funds will go directly towards her care.
