Oreo has been a beloved member of our family since I adopted him when I was seven, in Colorado. Eight years later at the age of nine, Oreo still has the energy of a puppy and has traveled with us across the country, from Colorado to Pennsylvania, joining us on vacations and always bringing joy to our lives. Recently, we noticed a bump near his rear and took him to the vet, where he was diagnosed with Apocrine Gland Anal Sac Adenocarcinoma (AGASACA), an aggressive form of cancer. The cytology test confirmed the diagnosis, and Oreo now needs quite the expensive surgery to remove the tumor. He has blood work and x rays scheduled for tomorrow, and a surgery consultation scheduled for this Thursday (8/28/25).
Oreo’s diagnosis has been devastating for our family, and the costs of his care are adding up quickly. The expenses include blood work, x-rays, multiple vet visits, and a major surgery to remove Oreo’s tumor. Each step of his care—from diagnostic tests to surgery and follow-up treatments—comes with significant costs. We are doing everything we can to give him the best chance, but we’re tight on money and need help covering these expenses. Oreo has always been a source of comfort and happiness, and it’s heartbreaking to see him face this challenge. Any support will help us provide the care he needs and give him more time with the family he loves.
If there are funds left after Oreo’s initial surgery, they will go toward his ongoing treatments, medications, and end-of-life care. We want to make sure Oreo is comfortable and surrounded by love for whatever time he has left. Your contribution would mean the world to us and help us give Oreo the best possible care during this difficult time.
Thank you very much for reading through, and thank you for any possible contributions.
