<div>Hello. My name is Alaa. I am 24 years old. I am married and before the war I lived in the city of Khan Yunis. However, our house was completely destroyed during this war on Gaza, along with many of the houses surrounding it in the area (see pictures above of our house). We evacuated our house in November and after that we have been fleeing from one place to another in Gaza, and now there remains no safe and humane place to go. We are all vulnerable to death at any time. I am now pregnant and do not want to give birth to my child in these difficult conditions. My father has a severe heart condition and needs medication and care. We cannot provide him medicine due to the scarcity caused by the war and the difficult conditions. We need to evacuate from Gaza as quickly as possible. Every minute that passes is important in our lives and we do not want to lose anymore. All I want is for me and my 10 family members to live for months and I will continue to reiterate the same phrase. I am trying to leave safely with my family.

<div>التواصل معكم اليوم وقلبي يعتصر الم لاشارككم ما حل بي من بسبب بسبب، حيث فقدت منزلي في بداية الحرب ومصدر دخلي، ولم يتبق لدي مأوى ولا دخل أعيل به، ولم أجد سوي خيمة من بعض النايلون والخشب، اتنقل بها من زوح الي الهجرة في ضل برد القارص الشتاء وتساقط الأمطار التي اغرقتنا دون حماية أو استقرار، حيث اني نزحت من مخيم البريج إلي مدينة رفح ومع ذلك اضطر إسرائيل إلى رفح اللجوء إلى مدينة دير بلح، ومع ذلك فصول الفصول لم أجد ملابسنا من برد الشتاء ولقد أصابتنا الأمراض في ضل انتشار الأمراض من سوء التغذية والأماكن التي نسكن بها، وأصيب ولدي الصغير بمرض الكبد والوبائي وحالته الصحية سيئة، وانا أصبت بجرثومة المعدة، ولا أخفي عليكم الحالة النفسية التي اصابتتني بعد هذا الجلل وشعوري بالعجر أمام احتياجات اطفالي الأساسية من طعام وشراب وملبس وعلاج، مما أثر على شخصياتهم وأحلامهم التي رسمناها معاً، تاعتاً لاعدهم بحياة مفعمة بالسعادة والسكينة، لكن الحرب اللعينة لم تترك لهم حلم إلا وحطمته، حتى يصلهم الجميل لنها. <div>Reaching out to you today, my heart is burdened with pain as I share with you the plight I'm facing. I lost my home at the onset of the war, my source of income vanished, and I was left with no shelter or means to provide for my family. All I have is a makeshift tent of nylon and wood, which offers little protection from the biting cold of winter and the relentless rain that leaves us soaked and unprotected. I was displaced from the Bureij camp to Rafah city, and yet we have been forced to seek refuge in Deir al-Balah. Despite this, we couldn't find our winter clothes, and diseases have befallen us due to poor nutrition and the unhygienic conditions we live in.

<div>My youngest son contracted hepatitis, and his health is deteriorating, while I suffer from a stomach infection. I cannot hide from you the psychological toll this tragedy has taken on me, feeling helpless in the face of my children's basic needs for food, drink, clothing, and medical care.

<div>It has shattered their personalities and the dreams we once shared of a happy and peaceful life. But this cursed war has left no dream unbroken, subjecting them to days of malnutrition, hunger, and deprivation.

<div>I now appeal to you, pleading for your humanity and mercy to help us secure the means to survive in Gaza. My children need proper medical care, nutrition, and the basic necessities of life, and with your support, we can rebuild and live with dignity, even in these most difficult of circumstances.

<div>Hussam once lived in Khuza’a, a town in Khan Yunis, with his parents and three siblings: Motaz (7), Hamza (10), and baby Selene, just four months old. But when their home was bombed by Israeli airstrikes, everything was destroyed. "Everything is gone," Hussam told me. His family fled with nothing but the clothes on their backs and now lives in a flimsy tent in Bani Suheila, struggling to survive each day.

<div>Life in the tent is unbearable. They light fires daily to cook and stay warm, breathing in toxic smoke that harms their health. Food is scarce, clean water is a luxury, and the cold nights are long. Yet, despite his own suffering, Hussam does something extraordinary—he shares whatever little he has.

<div>When donations come in, Hussam doesn’t just feed his family—he buys food for others in his community. At just 14, he carries the weight of survival not only for his parents and siblings but also for neighbors who have nothing. His heart is bigger than the war around him.

They are both currently trapped in Gaza during the Israeli occupations continuous bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
