My name is Olga, I’m from Kyiv, Ukraine. I’m 55 years old and used to work as a German language teacher at School No. 320 in Kyiv. Now I’m a volunteer, helping families who lost their homes, elderly people who need care, and soldiers who are recovering after the war. I don’t earn much myself, but I give all my time to helping others. My son is now on the front line, and I pray for him every day. I try not to lose hope and to keep my spirit strong. Life here is very hard, especially when we live without electricity or hot water. We receive help from kind people from different countries and distribute it to those who need it most. We don’t complain and we don’t give up. We simply accept help with open hearts from those who are willing to share. If you found our story and feel the wish to help or show compassion, we will be deeply grateful. I sincerely wish that you and your loved ones never have to go through what Ukraine and other war‑torn countries are facing today. During the war, I had the chance to visit Germany a few times in the city of Berlin, where I met wonderful people and volunteers. They were the ones who told me about this website. I am very thankful to all volunteer organizations in Berlin and beyond. Thank you for your time, your health and your kindness. How the funds will be used The money raised will go toward buying food, warm clothes and basic necessities. We also plan to purchase power banks and batteries and help pay utility bills for two elderly women in need.
