He is a loving husband, a devoted father, and an incredible man whose heart has always been bigger than himself.

I am creating this fundraiser for myself and my family as we go through one of the hardest times we have faced. I lost my job because of car troubles, and since then it has become harder and harder to keep up with everything. Rent is due, my car payment is hanging over me, and our utility bills are piling up. I never imagined I would be in a position where I would have to ask for this kind of help, but life has been unrelenting, and I am doing everything I can to keep my family stable and safe.

My name is Melanie, and my oldest daughter has been seriously ill, in and out of the hospital and the ER over the past month. She was recently diagnosed with a neurological condition called FND (Functional Neurological Disorder), which has changed everything for our family. She needs ongoing specialist care, and I've become her full-time caregiver, making it impossible for me to work the way I need to. <div>I am a single mom to <strong>2 wonderful boys</strong>. I had to buy a car in 2024 when my other vehicle broke down. <div>Dave had felt short of breath starting on Wednesday up until he collapsed on Saturday in our hotel room. When paramedics arrived and did an EKG he was found to be experiencing a heart attack which resulted in him being transported to the emergency room. Since arriving to the hospital he has been on full life support including intubation, continuous dialysis, medications to keep up his blood pressure, and was recently started on ECMO to give his body time to recover on its own.

<div>Now we do have some good news finally and the UW flight team is on their way to see if he is stable enough for transport to UW here in Seattle. We won’t know until the morning of November 27th but things are looking like this is more than likely the next step.
