At our shelter, we are committed to providing every animal with the highest level of care possible — especially those who come to us in urgent need. Thanks to a generous grant from the ASPCA, we recently acquired a much‑needed ultrasound machine. This incredible tool transforms the way we diagnose and treat vulnerable pets. Now, we need your help to take the next essential step. To use our new ultrasound safely and effectively — and to expand the types of medical procedures we can perform — we must upgrade our treatment area. This includes purchasing a dedicated anesthesia machine and providing a proper table for conducting ultrasounds outside of our surgical suite. These improvements will allow us to perform critical diagnostics, drastically increase our quality of care, and reduce stress for the animals who depend on us. Without these advanced medical tools, we need to send more pets off-site for medical care, which delays treatment and increases stress for vulnerable animals. Ultrasounds will allow us to identify and treat internal bleeding, assess emergency injuries, locate and evaluate internal masses, detect pregnancy, find foreign bodies, and collect urine samples safely and accurately. Sedation is often a critical part of performing a proper ultrasound. This fundraiser will directly help us save lives, ease suffering, and ensure we can offer the level of medical care our animals truly deserve. Every donation, big or small, moves us closer to giving pets access to the advanced care they urgently need.
