<div>Hello, my name is Sierra, &amp; i’m writing this on behalf of someone I love like a sister- Michelle Davis &amp; her beautiful family. Her husband Kenneth, their 4 year old son Kenny, &amp; their precious 2 year old, Teddy Bear.

<div>Right now, their family is facing the unimaginable. Teddy has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of a tumor based cancer called Neuroblastoma. My dear friend Michelle is living out every mother’s nightmare with the kind of dedication &amp; strength only a mother can summon.

<div><strong>A Miraculous Beginning-</strong>
</div>
<div>Teddy’s story has been covered in grace from the beginning. While transferring medical care late in her pregnancy, Michelle was offered an unexpected ultrasound–one that was never meant to be scheduled but somehow, was. In that scan, they found it. A mass. A warning. A whisper something may be wrong. That ultrasound truly may have saved Teddy’s life. Many neuroblastoma's go undetected until much later, after symptoms appear &amp; when treatment is harder. Teddy never had symptoms. Instead, divine intervention paved the way for early detection.

<div><strong>Hope Turned Heartbreak-</strong>
</div>
<div>After birth, Teddy was monitored with regular scans for months. The mass appeared to be shrinking, doctors speculated it was a benign hemorrhage from utero development, and reassured them it only required routine monitoring. 
</div>

<div>January 4th, 2025, everything came crashing down. The mass had suddenly tripled in size. They were rushed to OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Surgeons quickly got to work to remove the mass, along with his adrenal gland it was growing on. It was confirmed, a Neuroblastoma, thankfully not yet spread to his bones or major organs. We rejoiced! It was removed successfully &amp; we all thought that would be the end of this very scary story. Then the pathology of the tumor came back, hope shattered. The tumor was deemed aggressive &amp; within just 6 weeks post removal, it had begun growing back in the same adrenal bed…to the same size it was at removal. 2x3cm.

<div><strong>Moving Fast-</strong>
</div>
<div>Teddy has now begun a 15 month chemotherapy treatment plan with potential of more surgeries. 
</div>

<div>&amp; this tight knit family is just trying to hold onto each other, cancer happens fast. He completed his 1st round of chemo &amp; they went home to Grants Pass hoping to settle in, breathe, &amp; keep Teddy comfortable while they monitored symptoms. They barely had time to sit down when Teddy spiked a fever, landing them in their local ER. He tested positive for RSV &amp; an internal infection. On his 2nd birthday, May 9th, he was life-flighted in a helicopter back to OHSU. Alone. His family followed frantically by car. It then became clear they had no choice but to start brainstorming arrangements on how to be consistently closer to his care team. Michelle &amp; Teddy are currently staying at the hospital full-time. Ken &amp; Kenny are staying in a RV near the hospital. A necessary decision but the financial strain deepens everyday.

<div>Ken, a recent Army Veteran turned regenerative farmer &amp; consultant, doesn’t know when he realistically can return to steady work within his community. Every meal, every tank of gas, every night of attempted sleep (as a family split up) has become something to manage. The logistical &amp; financial weight of childhood cancer now touches every corner of their lives, while the emotional toll reaches the deepest parts of their hearts–as they do everything they can to provide some stability for their boys.

<div><strong>Teddy: Cherub to Warrior-</strong>
</div>
<div>Teddy has always reminded me of a cherub—round bright blue eyes, rosy cheeks, flowing blonde curls, chubby little rolls of perfection, all wrapped in an energetic glow that can be felt in his presence. He’s tender &amp; sweet, &amp; full of fire. He is strength wrapped in softness. A baby cherub, now called to be a toddler warrior. From the very beginning, we’ve known he was different. Perhaps God crafted him as a reminder: that even in the storm, there is light. A reminder that even the smallest among us are bound for something powerful &amp; unknown.

<div>Right now, Teddy is still recovering from RSV &amp; the infection. He’s had a blood transfusion, platelet transfusion, &amp; bone marrow testing (results pending), he even ripped out his PICC line while simultaneously ripping off &amp; hurling his diaper across the room. He certainly doesn’t lack determination! As they adjust into their new life, &amp; await his 2nd round of chemo, <strong><em>every act of support, big or small truly means everything! </em></strong>We will be posting updates here as his journey continues.

A Cherub in a Storm- Help Teddy Fight Neuroblastoma

<strong>Objective</strong><br />Build up resources to assist Kendall Anderson and Levi Rains with relief for families and animals in areas effected by hurricane Harvey, including transportation of volunteers supplies such as medical and day to day nesscessities.<br /><br />Levi and Kendall will be driving from Portland to Houston on the 12th of September to deliver supplies.<br /><br />We are not directly working with any organizations. <br /><br />For those who prefer to give through a nonprofit, the Wolf Education and Research Center has set up a fund to receive donations to make your gift tax deductible. <br /><br />Go to www.wolfcenter.org/donate and notate Hurricane in the comments of your donation. Help for Houston

<p>After my son Trevor beat cancer as a young child, I never imagined he would also experience the struggle of being wheelchair bound and learning to walk again. <br /><br />On May 9, 2015, Trevor was carrying a steam cleaner down a flight of stairs for a friend and pinched a nerve in his back. Over the course of the next few days, the pain had traveled to his legs and feet, resulting in some numbness. This led him to fall twice, and he was taken by ambulance on May 14 (his 23rd birthday!) to Methodist Richardson Hospital. After an MRI of his lower back, it was determined he would need a microdiscectomy due to a bulging disc. Unfortunately, this was scheduled for five days out. Trevor was unable to walk or move his legs well at this time and was in turn bedridden. After five days, the microdiscectomy was performed. It was with great expectations that we all thought Trevor would be up and walking in 24 hours. Sadly, this was not the case. Trevor's legs were not affected by the surgery and the surgeon requested an MRI of Trevor's upper back. He was then diagnosed with thoracic myelopathy. There were 2 large bulging discs, one of which was compressing his spinal cord. He was immediately scheduled for a thoracic laminectomy. One week after being admitted, Trevor was operated on. We all hoped this would "fix" the paralysis in his legs. Although it helped slightly in Trevor's right leg and hips, he was still unable to move his left leg. Five weeks in Health South Rehabilitation Center followed. Trevor has worked tremendously hard on getting out of his wheelchair and is hoping to walk once again. He is now living outside of San Antonio with his father and receiving in home PT.  <br /><br />My goal for this Go Fund Me account is to purchase a reputable laptop for Trevor to be able to work from home. At this time, working from home is his only option. Prior to this injury, Trevor was completely independent. He needs to feel success though this extreme struggle. Helping his family and building his confidence is necessary during his road to a full recovery. Being able to work from home will allow some independence in his current dependant life.<br /><br />Trevor is showing improvements each and every day. However, his recovery will unfortunately take months. Thank you for taking the time to read Trevor's story. It is still being written.  Maybe he can also write his story on his much needed laptop and inspire others!</p>
