Hello everyone! My name is Nuno Carvalho, and I am the proud father of Maria Leonor, a 12-year-old girl who made history in August 2025 by winning the first edition of Mini Miss Portugal. Thanks to this title, Maria Leonor was also crowned Little Universo Portugal 2026 and received an official invitation to represent Portugal at the prestigious international pageant Mini Universo (https://miniuniverso.org/), which will take place in Cartagena, Colombia, from June 22nd to 28th, 2026. This event celebrates beauty with a purpose, authenticity, and the talent of children and teenagers from all over the world, fostering an atmosphere of inspiration and pride for everyone involved. On this global stage, Maria Leonor will not only carry the name of Portugal; she will also be one of the few faces representing the European continent, bringing with her our culture, our values, and the talent of our youth. Why are we asking for your help? Participating in a competition of this scale is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but it involves very high logistical and preparation costs. As a father, I want to provide Maria Leonor with the same conditions as candidates from other countries, so she can shine and show the best of who we are. The funds raised will be used for: • Official registration for the international pageant; • Travel and accommodation; • Official outfits (including the Portuguese National Costume and the Gala Gown); • Potential training in runway, communication, and stage performance. Este evento celebra a beleza com propósito, a autenticidade e o talento de crianças e adolescentes de todo o mundo, promovendo uma atmosfera de inspiração e orgulho para todos os envolvidos. Neste palco global, a Maria Leonor não levará apenas o nome de Portugal; será também uma das poucas caras a representar o continente europeu, levando consigo a nossa cultura, os nossos valores e o talento da nossa juventude.
