Hi everyone, This is incredibly hard for me to write, but right now I have no other choice. I am 6 months pregnant and until recently, I was working full-time as a registered nurse supporting my entire family. Over the last few months, I developed severe bilateral carpal tunnel and De Quervain’s tenosynovitis in both hands. The pain and loss of function have become so extreme that I now wear braces on both hands and can barely use them at all. Because of this, I have been unable to continue working as a nurse. I am currently in the waiting period for disability and medical recommendations, but at this time I have no income coming in at all. Unfortunately, bills do not pause while you wait for approvals. I am the sole provider for my household. My husband is currently unable to work, and we also care for my stepson part-time. Right now we are facing overdue bills, utilities, rent, and even food insecurity. Our cabinets and refrigerator are nearly empty. I never imagined I would be in this position, especially while pregnant and preparing to bring a baby into the world. Every day I am doing my best to stay hopeful, but the stress has become overwhelming. All I want is to keep a roof over our heads, food on the table, and make it through this medical crisis until I can safely work again. Any donation—no matter how small—will go directly toward: • Rent and utilities • Groceries and household necessities • Medical and disability-related expenses If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser means the world to us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read our story. Your kindness, support, and prayers mean more than I can ever express. With gratitude, Nikki ❤️
