My Story... Hi! My name is Nicole, and I’m working hard toward my dream of completing my education and building a stable future. Unfortunately, my journey has been filled with setbacks that were completely out of my control. In 2023, I began school for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, a field I was passionate about. Just six months in, the school unexpectedly shut down the program, leaving me with nowhere to turn. Determined not to give up, I transferred to another college in November 2023 to continue my education. I stayed committed and worked hard until July 2024, when that school also closed down. What makes it even harder is learning that the second school knew their building was up for sale but never told students. They kept us enrolled until the very end, prioritizing money over our futures. By that point, I only had two semesters left to graduate. When I tried to transfer again, no school would accept my credits since I was so close to finishing.I was told I would have to start all over. That meant not only losing my education progress, but also all the money I had already invested in books, uniforms, and tuition. I completed over 200 hours in clinical rotation, did many overnights studying and doing homework. I still have many books in great condition just collecting dust. This has made me just go to a community college and switch my major and loose my all time dream. Why I Need Help? Now I’m left with student loan debt from schools that closed their doors on me, without a degree to show for it. I’m doing everything I can to move forward, but this debt has become an overwhelming obstacle. I’m asking for support to help me pay down my student loans and recover from these setbacks.
