Luna is just over a year old now. She’s pure sunshine – that classic golden fluff, floppy ears, and the biggest, softest brown eyes that light up any room (or vet waiting area). She came into my life as a rescue pup last spring, tiny and wiggly, and instantly became my shadow, my joy, the one who greets me like I’ve been gone forever even if I just stepped out for the mail. We knew she’d need some extra care as a rescue – maybe allergies or the usual puppy stuff – but nothing prepared us for this. A few months ago, she started having these scary digestive episodes: vomiting, not eating, looking so small and miserable on the couch. We were in and out of the vet for weeks trying to figure it out, and it finally landed us in emergency one night when she couldn’t keep anything down. Tests showed a serious issue (suspected chronic condition/GI issues that could turn into something worse), and now we’re looking at ongoing treatment, meds, special diet, maybe even surgery down the line to get her stable. On top of that, her hips aren’t great – early signs of dysplasia common in Goldens, and one leg’s been bothering her more lately. The vet says we need to address it soon before it gets painful for her. Between what’s already been spent and what’s coming in the next few months, we’re staring at five figures we never saw coming. I always knew adopting her would mean commitment, and I’d do anything for those happy zoomies and sloppy kisses. But this all hit at once, right when life was supposed to be simple puppy days. I know there are a million things pulling at everyone’s hearts and wallets – please don’t skip something important for yourself to help us. But if Luna’s sweet face and that way she still tries to wag her tail even when she’s feeling lousy tugs at you, and you have a few dollars to spare, it would mean the world. Every bit goes straight to her care so she can keep being the goofy, loving girl who makes every day brighter. Thank you for even reading her story. She’s worth it to me, and I hope a little to you too. ❤️

Bullied and Alone… Punch the Monkey Picture this: a tiny baby monkey, just hours old, abandoned by his own mother the moment he was born. No one to hold him, no gentle grooming, no sense of safety. That's how little Punch's life started at Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan last July. Zookeepers rushed in to hand-raise him, but nothing could replace a mom's love. So they gave him a soft, oversized stuffed orangutan—his "Plush"—and oh, how he clung to it. He drags that big toy everywhere: napping curled against it, "grooming" its fur when he's nervous, running back to it for comfort after tough moments in the troop. Viral images and videos of a sad, lonely monkey broke hearts around the world... This is Punch and his plush friend that went viral, melting hearts worldwide. Every time I watch those videos, my heart aches for Punch—and for so many other zoo animals facing rejection, loneliness, or the challenges of growing up in captivity without the family they need. That's why Support Network is stepping up. Inspired by Punch's story, we're raising funds to help vulnerable zoo animals like him: special enrichment toys and companions to ease anxiety, extra vet care, habitat tweaks for better bonding, and programs to support orphaned or struggling babies as they learn to thrive. Your donation today could give another little one the comfort Punch found in his plushie—or help him take his next brave steps into the troop. We've already seen how much love the world has for Punch; let's turn that into real help for animals who need it most. Please donate whatever you can—even $5 helps—and share with friends who love baby animals. Let's give more zoo babies the comfort and chance Punch is fighting for. Even a small gift makes a difference. Donate now, share with friends who melt over baby animals like we do, and let's give these sweet souls the second chance they deserve. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
