This country has made it abundantly clear that it is more willing to punish those who stand against oppression than the perpetrators of that oppression. I am just one of many black people who is being "punished" for not sugar coating the legacy of a Klansman. It is most likely time to seek better options for our safety and well being elsewhere. The funds gifted here would go towards moving/living expenses until we can get reestablished in a better place of residence.  I will not be silent in the face of white supremacy but I also know that my family's safety is paramount. I will never stop doing the work needed to combat these systems of oppression and making sure my loved ones are protected is part of that work. Hopefully we can find a community/ work environment that uplifts, protects and fights for marginalized peoples instead of paying them lip service by downplaying the severity of the rhetoric of people like CK as solely a "DIFFERENCE OF OPINION". I will not apologize for standing ten toes down and if given the opportunity again, I would make the same choice. As I type this we are one the 6th step of 7 for an authoritarian takeover and I will be complacent or idle on the sidelines of history. Their mother, Duaa, holds a degree in Arabic with excellent grades and aspires to pursue a master’s degree. Their father, Hatem, is a civil engineer with a master’s in business administration and hopes to enroll in a doctorate. Their lives were upended when they were forced to flee Rafah and now live in Khan Yunis.

<div>- **Family 2:** The second family consists of an elderly couple who were once teachers. They lived independently in their home but now, due to the war, they are displaced and living with their children and grandchildren.

<div>- **Family 3:** The eldest son of the third family is an engineer who returned to Gaza to start a new chapter with his wife and their two young daughters, Ghina and Jana, who were in elementary school. Their dreams have been shattered by the war.

<div>- **Family 4:** The fourth family is a mother and her four children. They lived in an apartment in Khan Yunis, which has been destroyed. The children, all in elementary school, are now struggling to find a sense of normalcy in these dire conditions.

<div>These four families now share a small space in a refugee camp, hoping that this donation campaign can help them survive the devastating war. The funds will go towards providing food, essential supplies, and a chance to rebuild their lives. Once the war ends, we hope to restore some semblance of normalcy for them.

<div>My name is Aya Shamallakh. I am 30 years old and I am a mother of three children. My eldest son is named Ismail and he is 10 years old. My son Ismail suffered a head injury due to the war. My middle son is named Muhammad and he is 8 years old. My youngest daughter is named Sahar. She is beautiful and loves life. She is 6 years old, and since October 7, we have been living a very difficult life under harsh conditions. The war destroyed my house and my family’s house, destroyed our car, and completely destroyed my husband’s workplace. We became displaced in a tent that could not accommodate us under harsh conditions, which are the cold of winter and the heat of summer. I hope you will help me save a life. My children, and to do tests on my son Ismail because of his injury, and to reassure him of the injury, and to rebuild my house again.

Help Aya and Her Children Evacuate Gaza

<div>Hello, my name is Diana Abuseedou. I am a Canadian citizen and I am creating this go fund me for my relative,Taleb Iyad Abu Seydo and his family, Palestinians from Gaza. I find myself having to ask for help in a critical and urgent situation for me and my family members. Our family are victims of destruction, death and hunger. We have also had to witness these tragedies to countless families, friends and neighbours.

<div>My family of 9, including my mother, father, and 2 sisters, my young brother, wife, and two daughters, have faced a series of painful challenges. Our home was bombed in October 2023. After the intense shelling in my family’s neighbourhood, they first took refuge in my house to flee after October 7, but the continuous attacks forced us to move to southern Gaza. Since then we have been displaced.

<div>On Friday, October 13, 2023, we were forced to flee as we were under attack, leaving everything behind. After that, we were evacuated to multiple locations, including Nuseirat, Deir al-Balah, Zawaida and Al-Mawasi, desperately in search of a safe haven. Unfortunately, the neighbourhood where we live in northern Gaza has become in ruins, under constant bombardment, without allowing anyone to return.
</div>

</div>
<div>After months of continuous movement and multiple evacuations, we found ourselves divided between southern Gaza and northern Gaza and both areas remain under threat of ongoing bombs and attacks. We have since lost our business in the auto and electrical appliances trade, in northern Gaza and suffered serious damage. This is what fed our families and it’s gone now. We have nothing anymore.

<div>We are currently facing the tragedy of no homes, no reliable source of food or water, no medicine, and we live constantly under the threat of fire and shelling. The entire Gaza Strip is unsafe, making access to food and potable water a daily challenge. This not only affects us, but our young children.

<div>My family has two young girls, and children under the age of one are particularly at risk due to the lack of children’s basic needs such as formula milk, medicines and supplies. Additionally, my mother needs medication for diseases of the vertebone. However, the destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system has left us without access to basic medical care.
</div>

</div>
<div>As part of our efforts to save ourselves and family from this terrifying situation, we are working to evacuate us to a safer place while at the same time we seek to provide all the requirements of life.
</div>

</div>
<div>However, the path to security is blocked by financial challenges.
</div>

<div>They are demanding that people from Gaza are to pay an average of $7,000 USD per person to let them out of Gaza to Egypt. Flight tickets after that are another $1,300 USD per person, plus expenses required to stay in Cairo, Egypt for a few weeks in order to issue a replacement for lost documents from the embassy and waiting for visa application procedures. The average cost per person is $10,300 USD and a total of $278,000 USD. This is just to get our family out of Gaza, apply for our passports and visas, stay in Egypt during this process, and leave Egypt. Nothing more, nothing less. This is an extreme financial burden which we are not able to pay for due to losing our businesses and jobs since October 2023. We have nothing anymore.

<div>Your willingness to listen to my family’s situation is deeply appreciated. The actual situation is more challenging than words can convey, and Palestinian voices often struggle to be heard, making it difficult to raise awareness and mobilise support.

She asked me for help. I immediately was suspicious of being scammed, but one video call later, it was evident she was one of the millions of displaced mothers who have escaped death more than once in recent months and who is living in genocide.

<div>They had fled to family they knew in the north, but it wasn’t long until the bombing intensified once again forcing them to flee, without clothing or money, to camps in southern Rafah. Here she managed to make contact with a friend who has given them a room. Bombs are always looming and they live in a state of fear.

<div>There are no job opportunities for her husband, the price of food and supplies have sky rocketed. There is no safety and death feels constantly close by.

<div>I spent most of my childhood and youth in wars. I had very big dreams and ambitions that were destroyed by the war. I finished high school with a grade of 95%. I was very happy because I would finally achieve my dream and study a good specialty. Unfortunately, I did not complete my university studies because of the war and I had a project. Special for handicrafts four years ago. I worked a lot to develop it. I had many printers and machines, but they were all destroyed by the war.

<div>After the war began we were forced to move from our home in Khuza’a to a shelter in Abasan. From there we had to move again to a school shelter in Khan Yunis. We were displaced a third time back to Abasan, and now to a tent in Rafah. This is our life. Everything we strive for is destroyed by wars. What is our fault for living through all this? We have lost everything we own. My father also worked a lot to build our beautiful house. We only lived in it for one month, and the war came to destroy our warm home, destroy us, and destroy our memories. My father lost his home, his job, his money, and everything he owned.

<div>Since the war began I have been helping other displaced Gazans, including many children, with donations of food, bedding, shelter and toys. <div>Hello friends, my name is Mariana Vamplew and I'm raising funds to evacuate Dr. Ola Madi, a sixth year medical student, from Gaza as well as her husband Mohammed and her sons Sami, aged 4 and Kenan aged 7 months.

<div>Five months ago , My old son "Sami" was so excited in his first year at kindergarten, but right now is suffering panic disorders and hanger , he got sick many times but we didn’t find antibiotics to give to him . My youngest "Kenan" made us feel the happiest with his birth 6 months ago, today his torturing saddens me being so young to witness evacuating in cold weather and lack of healthcare. We used to love life and feel its joy, but we reached a level that life is impossible but out of Gaza. Our lives and dreams shouldn't be wasted this way, we don't deserve any of what is happening; killing, terror, pollution, diseases, viruses, rockets, lack of food, water, electricity and sleep. even refugee schools are being bombed , and our life in Rafah is not guaranteed , we could be killed anytime if not by rockets, by diseases spread due to crowdedness, respiratory illnesses due to smell of phosphorus and smoke of fire. Any attempt of ceasefire is refused and our life is threatened if we don't get the needed fees for travel by which you can save my education and my kids' lives .

Help Dr. Ola and her family reach Turkey from Gaza

**Update—I was unable to raise enough money to pay for treatment nine months ago when I first created this campaign. Without treatment, my conditioned worsened, and I dropped to the lowest weight I’d ever been in my life. Had I continued on that path, in all likelihood, I would have not had much longer to live. The last nine months of my life have been hellish. After months of struggling severely, I have found help in an inpatient facility. As terrified as I am of letting go of bulimia and anorexia completely and indefinitely, I have accepted that to live a happy and healthy life, I cannot hold on to any remnants of these disorders. While I am in an inpatient treatment center now, the length of time that I’ve struggled and the severity of my struggle almost necessitates residential. I am again trying to raise money so that I can be free of the eating disorder. I am seeking treatment at Aloria Health Care. In the past they required that I pay over $12,500 before they would admit me. They now only require $7,000. If anyone reading this can spare even  a few dollars to help me finally be free of this unrelenting illness, I will be more appreciative than I could ever convey. Please, if possible, also share this page. I need all the help I can get—and I’m finally ready and willing to accept it! **<br /><br />As most people who know me know, I have struggled severely with bulumia and anorexia for nearly two decades. I have wasted too much of my life worrying about my weight and how I am going to pay for my next binge. Because of insurance issues, I am not able to be treated at the level of care that my history with these disorders demands. <div>Samuel (Samy) Garduno-Martinez is a happy, obedient, respectful young man, a good friend, an excellent son, and a brother who loves God with an unwavering faith. Unfortunately, he was at Abundant Life Christian School on December 16, 2024 when the shooting occurred.
</div>

<div>For the past 9 ½ months our son has been at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. My husband and I have stayed by his side, seven days a week, praying for a miracle. Samy’s life changed forever after being shot; two times in the head (possibly three times), once in the lower back, and once in his right arm. Samy underwent emergency surgery to relieve his swollen brain and tend to damage in his kidney and liver. Samy fell into a coma and was recovering in the Intensive Care Unit. The doctors gave little hope, despite having done everything possible to save his life. Three days later, Samy opened his eyes. That was the first miracle of resurrection in Samy’s life. Samy began to slowly recover with the help of doctors, nurses, and various physical, occupational, and speech therapists. He underwent lumbar spine surgery, required a feeding tube, as well as a procedure on his vocal cords to help him speak. After a month, Samy started talking again. Samy was scheduled to be discharged on April 8, but in March, tragedy again struck as Samy developed a devastating inflammation of his brain (encephalitis) as a result of the initial trauma. Samy was again admitted to the intensive care unit; intubated, in a coma, and again fighting for his life. We could only hope for another miracle from God.

<div>After 6 months, with numerous challenges and various new medications and treatments, another miracle occurred, the second resurrection. "Mom," said Samy. He hadn’t spoken a single word for 6 months. He moved his right arm and opened his eyes briefly. Our long hours of waiting were rewarded with this small glimmer of hope. Every day, Samy improves, showing his strength and determination, smiling, making small movements with his hand, and improving his speech, but mostly saying “Mom”! Although Samy is making progress, he still has a very long way to go. Fortunately, he has reached the point where he no longer needs a ventilator, but will require 24-hour care to perform and complete the basic activities of life. The next step in his recovery will be an admission at a specialized rehabilitation hospital near Chicago. Espiri, Dani (younger brother) and I will accompany Samy, temporarily relocating to the Chicago area to continue caring for him and supporting him. We need financial assistance since we have not returned to work since the shooting because we’ve stayed in the hospital with Samy due to his critical condition. This means we will need significant assistance for lodging, food, fuel, and support for the 2-3 months while we are away from home. In addition, we are preparing for a handicap accessible rental property after the rehab hospital while we determine the most significant need of long-term housing (a new house) and accessible transportation to meet Samy’s needs.
