I know times are hard for everyone right now, but I am hoping that with the work of all good, together, we can help an amazing family who deserves it. Brittany is a mother to a bright boy named Asher, an amazing wife to her husband Darren, a sister, an aunt, and an absolutely amazing friend. Brittany was diagnosed type 1 diabetic at the young time of second grade. Since then, it has been a brutal disease that has ravaged her body along with destroying multiple organs including her eyes, but most severely, her kidneys. Brittany is in the end stage, stage five kidney failure. She is in need of a transplant. With that said, when being referred to for this transplant, she then discovered she had the opportunity to get a new pancreas, which would make her no longer diabetic and she would be given a prolonged life with her new kidney. This is such an extensive and dangerous surgery, that she's had to meet many quotas such as many exams, biopsies, weekly blood work, heart procedures, and losing 40 lbs, which she has all succeeded with doing. After an extremely long journey, Brittany has finally been given the green light to go active on the transplant list, which brittany is wanting so so badly so she is able to experience her son growing up. I reach out for help because after the extensive care for visits, traveling, and ultimately surgery itself, it's impossible to afford now a days. <div>As many of you are aware, the last 7 months or so have been difficult for our family of 4. Kennedy finally had tubes placed after 10 gnarly ear infections, Kipling has been hospitalized 3 times with hypoxemia (low blood oxygen) with no known cause, Kip &amp; I were in a hit-and-run accident, and most recently, Todd fractured several vertebrae in his neck. We have spent an enormous amount of time in the hospital, with still much more to come.

<div>Kipling: We have been unable to identify the cause of hypoxemia. Kip’s heart exam was normal. The pediatric pulmonologist is at a loss and we are monitoring her daily oxygen levels.

<div>Todd: We do not actually know how Todd broke his neck. He had been feeling some mild shoulder pain during the work week, built a pergola on Saturday, felt more sore on Sunday, then woke up in excruciating pain on Monday morning, May 20. Initially, he thought he dislocated his shoulder from where the pain was radiating. He went to the Reno Orthopedic Clinic where he had x-rays and was then referred for an immediate MRI. We met with a neurosurgeon the following day. Todd has damage to his cervical spine C2-C7 including fracture, bone spurs, bulging discs, and cord deformity. In an effort to reduce inflammation, Todd has taken a variety of medications, had a cortisol epidural in his spine, and has undergone physical therapy. Todd’s current symptoms include the inability to lift his head forward, a complete loss of feeling and movement in the left half of his left hand, numbness from neck to fingertips on his left side, general pain, and muscle spasms.

<div>Todd is scheduled for an ‘anterior cervical discectomy with fusion four levels’ on July 17, 2024. Four disks will be removed and five vertebrae will be fused together. Todd will be on basic bed rest for the first two weeks, then he will be able to increase activity levels every two weeks thereafter. He will be unable to lift more than 5 pounds or bend over for the first six weeks.

<div>We are grateful that people have asked what they can do to help us. Our primary concern in the coming months outside of Todd’s recovery is keeping up financially. Todd will not be able to work for 6 weeks post-surgery, this time will be unpaid. Todd’s employer has graciously made arrangements for him to work from home, as he is able following the initial 6 weeks until he is able to return in person.

<div>Hello, this GoFundMe has been created for my Brother David and sister in law Alyssa who recently have had their whole world put on a sudden hold due to an unexplainable infection inside of Alyssa’s body. Alyssa was admitted to Carson Tahoe on Sept. 26th. with severe abdominal pain. She has been in the hospital ever since. They have ran test after test and have yet to come up with any solid diagnosis. They are transporting her to The University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City for further medical treatment and care. Alyssa and Dave recently welcomed their baby boy Soren into this world on on Sept. 14th. Soren is a blessing to their already beautiful blended family. David and Alyssa are dedicated, wonderful and loving parents to their family of 6 kids, ages 16, 14, 11, 10, 7 and 4 weeks. Two beautiful young girls and 4 handsome boys. What should be a time of bonding, new family pictures, memories and overall joy has been anything but. Alyssa was only able to spend a little over a week with her family before being admitted. Alyssa is not only a devoted, loving partner to Dave, and a doting, dedicated mother to her own children, she also is a very dedicated teacher for the Carson city school district and to the children in her class and their families. David is also a hard working, devoted, loving, and solid partner and father to both Alyssa and the kids. Dave and Alyssa are very giving people and always the first to help anyone with anything in any situation. They always have a hand out to assist and hardly ever never say, “sorry we can’t”. They are easily friends with everyone and have a great connection with the community, the people they work with and most times even strangers. Now they need our help. Dave owns his own flooring and renovation company and has had to put any and all projects on hold while he stays next to Alyssa’s side. Unfortunately, what should have been a happy 6 week maternity leave for Alyssa and baby has been anything but that due to her spending the majority of it in the hospital and here in 2 weeks her leaves stops all together. Both Dave and Alyssa will not be bringing home any sort of income to help assist with upcoming mortgages, utilities, medical bills etc, as well as the doubled cost of living for Dave while he is in SLC with Alyssa. This GoFund me is intended to help raise money to ease the stress and burdens of figuring out how to make sure ALL bills are taken care of, any gas costs and lodging due to travel, possible flights for the older kids to visit Dave and Alyssa during the duration of her hospital stay in SLC, and any unplanned medical expenses both recent and future when this is all said and done. Doctors have already said that even with the best outcome Alyssa’s recovery will be a long one. With our huge family from both Dave’s side as well as Alyssa’s, there is already a wonderful support team and everyone is doing what they can to help in any way. But there is always room for more help. It takes a village.

<p>Hi, my name is Stacie. I'm fundraising for my close friends' daughter Aaliyah.  <strong>Aaliyah </strong>is a beautiful, kind, loving, humorous 9 year old that wears her heart on her sleeve.
</p>

<p><span style="letter-spacing:0.0085px;">On July 6th, Aaliyah was complaining about her stomach hurting. The pain escalated and her mom, Amber, took to to the emergency room. She had tests and scans done, and it showed Aaliyah had a tumor that had ruptured inside of her and needed to be removed right away. She had a partial oophorectomy done. Surgery went ok and Aaliyah got to go home July 13th.</span>
</p>

<p>On Monday July 19th, Aaliyah had a follow up appointment. It was then that Aaliyah and her parents, Amber and Jason, learned she has a rare cancer. The tumor that had ruptured and was removed from Aaliyah is an ovarian germ cell tumor which is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the germ (egg) cells of the ovary. The cancer is <strong>Stage 3 Ovarian germ cell </strong> and has spread to her abdomen. For any parent, this is their worst nightmare come true. Their health insurance did not cover the chemotherapy at the time and the hospital lack of communication about the billing. And with no time to spare, Aaliyah needs chemotherapy as soon as possible , which does start on July 29th. The hospital itself and the pediatric oncologist are out of network and is not covered under insurance according to their insurance. After 4 cycles of chemo a total of 20 day stay. She has rang the bell in November 2nd showing that her chemo treatments are done for now and hopefully forever.. they will continue to monitor her for the next 5 years until they can 100% state she is cancer free. So far it seems better but the financial part of this journey is just the beginning. Until the bills are actually figured out completely and the tireness of their fight between insurance and lack of communication about the bills from the facilities. We are still trying to help recover the financial loss the parents experienced due to time loss and hours away from work. They have had wonderful help from the Northern Nevada Child Cancer Foundation to help with utilities and the rising cost of gas and food but they are only allowed to do so much and it is very appreciated. I realize the financial stress that a medical diagnosis such as cancer may bring, and I want to relieve some of the financial burden so Amber and Jason can focus on Aaliyah. And help transition Aaliyah to some sort of normalcy as it is the next part in Aaliyah's journey in hopes no longterm damage has happened from the chemotherapy treatments as you all know it's poison fighting poison. Some cognitive issues have arrived but only time will tell.

Help ease the financial burden left after chemo

<p><strong>Hey there, folks. Been putting this off for a while, but it's time. I need a new hospital bed and air mattress.<br /><br />UPDATE: Goal reached! Overflow going towards medical supplies, bedding, and some bed upgrades. You folks are the best. :) <br /><br />UPDATE 2: That's all, folks! Donations have been turned off, because y'all were out of control awesome. :)  WIll update bed progress as we go! <br /><br /></strong>Back in 2018 I suffered an aortic dissection that left me paralyzed from the chest down. When I got out of the hospital nearly four months later, I was prescribed a hospital bed for home use. I am a large man, but not large enough to qualify for a larger, sturdier bed under my insurance, so I ended up with a smaller, flimsy one. My arms are constantly against the rails. I use stuffed animals to pad it. And it's broken a dozen times over the past couple of years.

<p>Last time the company that was supposed to fix and maintain the bed came out, they didn't have the right motor, so the bed would not go up and down. My spouse has been hand-cranking the bed up to get me into my wheelchair for the past year. Then, nearly a month and a half ago, the motor broke completely. My head cannot go up or down. My legs cannot either. I have been prone for over a month. I cannot see my keyboard as I type. I cannot eat or drink properly. My mental health is the lowest it has ever been. I have a stage four pressure ulcer -- basically a massive open wound in my body -- that keeps me from spending long periods in my wheelchair. This bed is my life, and life sucks right now.
</p>

<p>The bed company has been sending folks out to not fix the bed for a month now. Four drivers have called, told me they had the wrong item, that they'd call me back. I have never received a call back from the company. Several times I have been told a new bed was coming, only to call and have support tell me it was not happening. I was told I needed a new prescription from my doctor. My doctor called and was told that was not the case.

Help Fahey Get A New, Sturdier Hospital Bed

Hey friends and family. I'm reaching out and asking for support for my brother,  Abe Lesiuk, and his two sons Issac and Mikey. <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/49627786_159469997439396_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="49627786_159469997439396_r.jpeg" /><br /><br />He recently lost his house, garage and property to the numbers fire in Gardnerville, Nevada. Unfortunately, my brother literally lost everything but what was in his car and the picture of our Grandma that the fire fighters grabbed off the wall. He has lived in Nevada his whole life and dreamed of owning property off the grid where he could create a paradise for others to come and enjoy as well. He was well on his way to seeing that become a reality until the numbers fire flew through his property.<br /><br />He is kind, generous and a thoughtful man who needs our help. He is now looking at a long process to finalize his insurance claim and wait for a payout. In the mean time he has to try and replace what he can so he can survive day to day. I'm asking for donations for him for food, clothing, saving for an apartment, a bed, furniture, kitchen items, blankets, and all the other things that come along with starting over after you have lost everything. <br /><br />I know that times are so difficult right now for everyone with the pandemic and the economic struggles that has caused. On Thursday night, Sara and Scott, Maya's mom and dad, noticed some unusual bruising on her and decided to take her to the doctor. They went in next morning and the doctor had them go to the hospital immediately, where tests were done. The shocking news came back that Maya has leukemia. Within an hour, Maya and her family left for Oakland Children's Hospital where she is receiving blood and platelet transfusions. Hello my name is Nick, I'm a deputy with the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.  Myself along with the rest of the deputies at Lyon county are saddened by the loss of a brother and understand the tremendous toll it takes on family and loved ones.  Please help us to raise some funds for his family, no amount of money can ease the pain that losing a father and husband causes but it can help reduce the financial burden that follows. <br />Thank you for your contribution.  And God bless. <br /><br /><br /><br />Shortly after 2AM August 15, 2015, deputies responded to the report of a male/female domestic battery in the 4100 block of Montez Drive in east Carson City. Deputies met with a woman who had what they call visible injuries as a result of a fight. Deputy Carl Howell then attempted to meet with 30-year-old Jonathan Pope, who was aware deputies had been called. As Howell approached the door, Pope appeared with a gun. They both fired and both were hit. Pope was pronounced dead at the scene; Howell died after being taken to a hospital.<br /><br />More deputies were called to the scene to secure the home and the three children and one adult who were inside.<br /><br />Howell was a nine-year veteran of the department who leaves a wife and four young children.<br /><br /><br />This fund is being created to help the Howell family.  100% of the money raised goes to them.
