<div>Bryan and his 83-year-old father spent the last decade building an incredible LEGO Star Wars collection together. Their shared passion resulted in about 780 sets and more than 1,200 minifigures, with the hope that one day, selling the collection could help pay for their grandchildren’s college. Last year, Bryan consigned the entire collection to a Mystery company so it could be sold over time. The collection was so impressive that it drew news coverage and huge crowds at the store.

<div>But in November 2024, everything changed. This Mystery company's corporate took over the store during a dispute with the franchise owner. When they seized the store, they also took control of Bryan and his father’s collection — even though it did not belong to them. According to Bryan, the company removed the identifying tags from the sets and continued selling the collection instead of returning it, claiming he could not prove ownership. Bryan and his father have tried going through authorities and legal channels, but the cost of forcing action in court could be tens of thousands of dollars, making it extremely difficult for them to fight back.

Help Bryan Recover His Stolen LEGO Collection

<div>Hill Country Helpers is raising funds and supplies to help those impacted by the devastating July 4th weekend floods in the Texas Hill Country. All proceeds will go toward supplies for the victims - water, tarps, blankets, toiletries, canned goods/nonperishables, etc. - that we will drive out and drop off at the shelters and reunification locations in Kerrville, Texas. This disaster has left Kerr County with limited access to resources, so our goal is to take what we can out to those folks to help them in a dire time of need.

<div>I started attending summer camp at Heart O' the Hills in Hunt, Texas (adjacent to Kerrville for those who are unfamiliar with the area) in 2005 with my little sister. I spent 12 summers out there as a camper with her, then as a Heart LITe, and finally as a counselor. Even after my time as a counselor ended, I continued to visit camp and the people who made it so special, including Jane Ragsdale whose life was taken by the flood. My aunts and their daughters also attended the Heart, and my grandmother attended Mystic down the road. Needless to say, we have some deep, emotional ties to the area. My family also lived through the Memorial day flood that went through Wimberley, Texas in 2015, so we know first-hand how terrifying and destructive a flood can be. I know that money cannot replace everything lost, but the goal is to do what we can with what we have.

<br />It has been an unforgettable experience catering to the organizers of Fyre Festival. Back in April 2017 I pushed myself to the limit catering no less than a 1000 meals per day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all prepared and delivered by Exuma Point to Coco Plum Beach and Roker’s Point where the main events were scheduled to take place. Organizers would also visit my Exuma Point location to enjoy the prepared meals.<br /><br />Fyre Fest organizers were also checked into all the rooms at Exuma Point Resort.<br /><br />As I make this plea it’s hard to believe and embarrassing to admit that I was not paid…I was left in a big hole! Exuma Point- Fyre Fest Fiasco

<strong>Who we are:</strong><br /><br />“I want to make music with you.” <br /><br />These were the first words that I said to Ben Bazzrea as I stepped through the door of his job unannounced. <br /><br />I hadn’t seen him in weeks, and we hadn’t worked on music together in years. But I knew in my bones that this is what had to happen for my dreams to start coming to life. Only a few weeks before, I had spent over a week in the hospital because my then-boyfriend literally tried to kill me. I lost my mind, my job, had to move back in with my mom, but I was finally free. <br /><br />I realized after almost losing everything that I needed to start fighting for what I loved and following my passion. My drive has been and will always be music, and for the last two years I have worked with Ben and our team to bring our music to life in a way that matches our high standards. I’ve experienced so much love, so much growth, and have met so many incredible people on this path. We are now at the point where we want to go further but we are financially constrained in reaching our goals, and that’s where you come in!<br /><br /><strong>What we’re raising money for:</strong><br /><br /> We are working on finishing an album and we want to give it the proper promotion and fanfare that it deserves!  That means making a music video for the lead single, R.A.D. Moves, and working with a PR firm to bring Kady Rain to the people of planet Earth. In order to do this, we’ll need some liquidity, and absolutely anything helps. We want to do this thing right.  To that end, we have a great director (who has worked on videos for FKA Twigs and Grimes no less!), we’re going through a casting company for models.  We’re going to have hair and makeup, wardrobe, you name it. This isn’t your grandma’s music video.<br /><br />$2,500: PR Campaign - This is a big one!  We’ve been talking to several firms but the one we like the most has done PR for Sia, Morrisey, The White Stripes, Butch Walker, tons of people!  It’s an amazing PR firm with a price tag to match.  The crazy thing about this number, it’s not even enough to cover the whole campaign, but it will make a formidable dent!<br /><br />$1,000: Physical Distribution/Merch - This one is a little more straightforward, we want every man, woman, and child wearing a Kady Rain t-shirt!  But before our merch becomes the official t-shirt of planet Earth we have to have them pressed, which costs money! <br /><br /><strong>How soon we need the funds:</strong><br /><br />The sooner we have the funds, the sooner we can finish the album and get it out to you, our lovely listeners! However, a realistic timeline is the end of May!<br /><br /><strong>Why this means so much to us:</strong><br /><br />Nobody understands why they’re called to do something, they just feel it. I know for the first time in my life I am in the right place, and I can’t even express how incredible it is to have the opportunity to make my dreams come true.
