What they care about

Amazing first day. Thank you so much! Over £600 raised. 8 x 4-person tents and 50 blankets bought locally in Kathmandu, will be on a helicopter to a remote village near Gosaikunda tomorrow morning. Please note - we will be removing as much plastic as possible from the tents/other items to prevent it going into the mountains! Please share our GoFundMe far and wide. There will be many more smaller operations needed we expect over coming weeks... Namaste
We are raising urgent funds to support small dedicated local groups providing disaster relief in Nepal. While primary rescue teams are working hard across the region, our goal is to complement their efforts by bringing shelter and essential supplies directly to outlying communities as and when needed. Where Your Money Goes & How It Gets There Local Purchases (This Week): Our ground partner, F&F Cycling Group, is purchasing tents and essential provisions directly from local suppliers in Kathmandu. Coordination: Supplies will be taken to Cafe Zero, who is coordinating directly with local teams, community responders, and local authorities. Delivery to Remote Areas: Provisions will be transported using the most efficient routes available—including local transport networks, official relief channels, or foot teams—starting this week in the Gosaikunda and Rasuwa regions. Flexible Aid: If emergency needs shift or other nearby communities require urgent help, our team on the ground will direct supplies wherever they are needed most. To ensure complete trust for every donor: Direct Transfers: Donations will be withdrawn to Natasha Hope's UK bank account and transferred straight to Nepal via WorldRemit. Fees: Standard GoFundMe processing fees (2.9% + 25p per donation) apply, but 100% of the remaining net funds go directly to purchasing supplies. Every pound helps get shelter and supplies directly to families and where it's most needed. Please donate what you can or share this link to support the ground teams this week. THANK YOU!
Making Banepa Greener 2026. This is year 3 of our grassroots environmental project supporting the ongoing tree-planting work of Rashil “The Treeman” from Banepa Stay, who has been planting and caring for trees in and around Banepa, Nepal, for 17 years. Over the past two years, the project has grown into a collaborative effort involving Banepa Stay, Treehope Travel, and F & F Cycling Club from Kathmandu. 2024/25 Link https://www.gofundme.com/f/trees-for-nepal Now in its third year, Making Banepa Greener will continue tree planting up to 50 new established trees, involving schools, public spaces, local volunteers, and promoting environmental awareness, including plastic and litter cleaning. This ensures the work already done has a lasting impact while engaging the wider community. This year, the project is also being supported by Clare Harford of Yoga Ayurveda Retreats, who is marking her 60th birthday by raising funds and donating 100% of the proceeds to this initiative. Funds raised will support: Ongoing tree planting in and around Banepa Planting up to 50 established trees Care and maintenance of previously planted trees Community engagement with schools and public spaces Environmental awareness campaigns and litter/plastic cleaning Continued support for Rashil’s grassroots work
