Omar is someone many of us know and care about from the spa at Gozzer, and right now Omar and the family are facing an incredibly painful season. Omar’s dad has been battling cancer and has now been moved to hospice. While the family tries to be present for him during this heartbreaking time, Omar is also carrying the weight of being the only one currently working and helping support the entire family. The emotional strain of watching a loved one decline is already so heavy, and the financial pressure on top of that has become overwhelming.

 This fundraiser is being created to help ease some of that burden so Omar can focus on being with his dad and supporting the family instead of worrying about how everything will be covered. Funds will go toward hospice care, medical bills, loss of income, funeral costs, and family support during the difficult days ahead. <strong>Any support helps.</strong> If you are able to give, any amount would mean so much. <div>In 2006, when I was seventeen years old, I was taken from my home in the middle of the night and transported to Cross Creek Manor, a behavioral modification program in Utah.

<div>I spent nine months there.

<div>For years, I wasn't ready to tell that story.

<div>Cross Creek is a short film inspired by my experience and the night everything changed. The film follows a teenage girl named Messy as she is removed from her home and forced into a world she doesn't understand, leaving behind her family, friends, and everything familiar.

<div>What began as a deeply personal story has evolved into something much bigger.
</div>

</div>
<div>Together with my co-writer and co-director, Jess Waters, we've developed Cross Creek as both a standalone short film and the foundation for a larger television series that explores the world and experiences introduced in this story. Our hope is that this film serves as a powerful first step in bringing these experiences to a wider audience.

<div>While Cross Creek is inspired by my experience, it is not intended to speak for every survivor. This is simply my attempt to tell my story honestly, through the medium I know best.
