The Monticello Freedom Festival has been a cherished tradition in our community since the early 1960s, bringing neighbors together for a night of celebration, fireworks, and music. For decades, Lodge Park has been the heart of the festival, with local businesses and organizations generously donating and volunteers welcoming guests with smiles and donation buckets. This year, the festival is moving to Monticello Middle School, and the excitement is buzzing throughout the community. With the new location, many onlookers will be enjoying the festivities from neighborhoods surrounding MMS, 'OOOHHHH'ing' and 'AAAHHHing' as the fireworks light up the sky.
To ensure this beloved tradition continues, the committee is accepting digital donations for the first time. Every dollar raised will go directly toward supporting future Monticello Freedom Festival activities, including spectacular fireworks displays, live musical performances, and the maintenance of festival grounds. Your generosity will help keep the festival vibrant and accessible for years to come, allowing families and friends to gather and celebrate together.
I am not on the MFF committee, but volunteered to create this GoFundMe page as a way to support them. As we celebrate America's 250th year, please consider donating to the Monticello Freedom Festival and its future. Would it not be amazing if The Monticello Freedom Festival continues as America celebrates its 300th Birthday, bringing joy and unity to our community? Thank you for your support!
