Andy Amoroso, brother of Dawn, brother-in-law to Tracie, and husband of Ty, suffered a devastating stroke on Thursday night, July 16th, 2026, while alone in his Lake Worth Beach apartment. Unable to call for help for over 12 hours, Andy missed the critical "golden hour" for medical attention, which has left him with significant damage and limited movement on his left side. The hope is that with dedicated physical therapy, Andy can regain the use of his left side and work toward recovery.
<br />
<br />
 Andy is a beloved figure in Lake Worth Beach, known for his generosity, humor, and commitment to the community. Over the past 30 years, he has owned several businesses and served as City Commissioner (Vice-Mayor) for more than a decade. His current business, "The Tacky Tourist," is a staple on Lake Ave., reflecting Andy’s fun-loving and whimsical spirit. As a small business owner, Andy faces a unique challenge: if his store isn’t open, he isn’t earning income to cover his rent, mortgage, and bills. This makes his recovery even more difficult, as he needs support to manage his living expenses while focusing on healing.
<br />
<br />
 Andy has always given so much of himself to others, whether through his work, his leadership, or his kindness. Now, in his time of need, Tracie and the family are asking for help from the community Andy has served so faithfully. Any support you can offer will go directly toward Andy’s living expenses and recovery, helping him get back on his feet and return to the community he loves. Please join us in giving back to Andy and showing him the same care he has shown so many.

<div><strong>Help Shanine Fight Breast Cancer</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>On July 17, 2025, our friend Shanine was met with one of the toughest battles of her life: a breast cancer diagnosis. As she begins her journey through treatments, surgeries, and countless appointments, she is determined to stay strong — not only for herself, but most importantly for her son, Jaxson.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Anyone who knows Shanine knows her heart. She is a devoted mother, a loyal friend, and a fighter. Her greatest wish is to make sure Jaxson’s life and care remain unaffected while she navigates this difficult road. But with medical bills and everyday expenses amassing, financial hardship is adding an extra weight to an already heavy burden.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>This fundraiser has been created to help ease that load. <strong>Every dollar raised will go directly toward Shanine’s medical treatments, surgeries, and recovery, as well as ensuring that Jaxson has the stability and support he deserves during this time.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Your support — whether through a donation, a kind word, or sharing this page — will make a meaningful difference. Together, we can help Shanine focus on healing and give her the peace of mind that her son is cared for.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Please consider contributing whatever you can. No amount is too small, and every bit of love and generosity brings Shanine and Jaxson closer to brighter days ahead.

</div>

<div>From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for lifting Shanine up in this fight.

<div>My name is Rory Allen and I happened to be driving behind Shukuru Mlondani last Friday when his 2013 Honda Pilot suddenly caught fire. It appeared to start because of something near his driver side headlight had faulty wirting. As I went to check to make sure Mr Mlondani was ok it was clear to me that this was tragic for he and his Family. He was laying on the ground in the pouring rain, sobbing as this was his family's only vehicle burned in front of him and there was nothing he could do about it. Shukuru was helpless so I drove him to retrieve his phone from the Literacy Center (which is why he was making the trip in the first place) and proceed to grab his belongings from his vehicle and return him home. The Mlondani family are refugees from Tanzania. The three brothers work at a factory in Orchard Park. I shared this story on Facebook and local business owner John Bair immediately stepped up and helped them with a significant donation to rent a car in the short term. Others have asked how they can help Shukuru and his family replace their car as it was not covered under their general liability coverage. So here I am looking to raise money for them to replace their car. Thank you Buffalo for supporting this family in a time of need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My relationship to Shukuru Mlondani is that I met him upon him discovering his car was on fire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Shukuru is the direct beneficiary of these funds and will use the funds to purchase and fully insure a new car for his family.

Help replace Buffalo's Mlondani Family's only car

<div><strong>**UPDATE:</strong> This fundraiser was initially established to support a toy drive for Damar’s community, sponsored by the Chasing M’s Foundation. However, it has received renewed support in light of Damar’s current battle and we can’t thank all of you enough. Your generosity and compassion mean the world to us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As representatives of Damar, the team at Jaster Athletes posted the fundraiser updates and will work with the Hamlin family, The Chasing M's Foundation, and the GoFundMe team to ensure the safe delivery of funds.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Damar created The Chasing M’s Foundation to use as a vehicle to bring lasting impact to his community. The foundation supports toy drives, back-to-school drives, kids camps, and more. We're hopeful about Damar's future involvement in disbursing the incredibly generous contributions.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is the only current fund that is being used by the Hamlin Family. We appreciate your understanding as we give them the time and space they need to focus on Damar's health first.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Again, thank you for your thoughts, prayers and support during this time. <strong>UPDATE**</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>------------------------------------------------------------
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As I embark on my journey to the NFL, I will never forget where I come from and I am committed to using my platform to positively impact the community that raised me. I created The Chasing M's Foundation as a vehicle that will allow me to deliver that impact, and the first program is the 2020 Community Toy Drive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This campaign gives you the opportunity to contribute to our first initiative and positively impact children who have been hardest hit by the pandemic. 100% of the funds raised will go toward the purchase of toys for kids in need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are not able to contribute monetarily, you can support this initiative in other ways. We are accepting donated toys at the Daycare Center or simply spread the word by sharing this fundraiser on your social channels.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for supporting me on and off the field. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with you to help make the holiday season a little brighter for the kids in our community.

<div>Vickie Virzi, the President of Blessed Paws Animal Rescue in Lake Worth, FL, was in a hit-and-run rollover accident last night at 10:45 pm on i95. She was driving home in the hurricane from being at the Emergency Vet Hospital where our 3 month old puppy urgently needed to be seen due to neurological activity. Vickie was hit by a driver that left her flipped and rolled over in the car. The driver who hit Vickie ran off, the police found the vehicle, but the driver was nowhere to be found.
</div>
<div>Thankfully, people stopped to get Vickie out of the car.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you have met Vickie, you know her mission is to save as many dogs as possible by providing them with top-tier resources, medical care, and love. She works a full-time job besides doing rescue, and all of her “free” time is dedicated to the dogs. Vickie partners with other animal rescue(s) and helps the homeless projects by providing food, beds, towels, clothes, etc. She is always there to help anyone in need, with a pure heart of gold.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now it’s time to return the favor - the volunteers at Blessed Paws Animal Rescue need your help! We are asking for financial donations to get Vickie back on her feet AND to help with the Emergency Vet bill. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing her story to help the rescue!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for being a part of our small rescue community here in Lake Worth; your help is why we can save many lives here at Blessed Paws.

<div>Hi everyone! Thank you for making your way to this page. We are writing this for our dearest friend and brightest light of our lives, Alexis. Alexis is a vibrant 38 year old Mother, Wife and Teacher.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>On July 6, 2022 Alexis was diagnosed with stage 2 HER2-positive breast cancer after finding a lump in her right breast. It's an aggressive form of cancer, but there are two major positives to focus on: First, Alexis caught this on the early side and moved very quickly. Second, this type of cancer is very responsive to medical treatment. Alexis will have to go through 18 weeks of chemo, followed by surgery and then more treatment. This will be a long journey, emotionally, physically and financially.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Alexis means the world to so many and now she desperately needs our help. Our goal with this fundraiser is to alleviate the burden of hefty medical bills and living expenses, so she can focus on what really matters—getting healthy and kicking cancers ass! We just need your help along the way!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Lastly, Alexis and Shane really appreciate all the help we as a village can offer. Alexis is still trying to process everything and trying to focus on enjoying the summer with her family. If this is the first you’re learning of Alexis breast cancer, feel free to share your love and support with comments here, she’ll get the messages when she has the mental bandwidth to respond.

As the family of Craig and Michelle Ashley, we have created this Go Fund Me to help support them during this unexpected difficult time.<br /><br />On the morning of Tuesday, June 30th, Craig suffered a stroke while exercising at work.  He normally works out alone but on this particular day, there was another fellow firefighter in the gym.  We are very thankful for his quick reactions to get Craig the medical attention he needed.  He was transported to Boca Regional Medical Center and within the hour, he was in surgery.  <br /><br />Craig received the best possible treatment to remove the clot from his brain.  He was in the Marcus Neuro Institute ICU for 11 days and Memorial Rehab for 7 days.  He is now home with a long road to recovery.  The stroke occurred on the left side of his brain and has affected his speech, memory, vision, and balance.<br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/49753318_1595103446217052_r.jpeg" alt="49753318_1595103446217052_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />Craig is the EMS Division Chief of Boca Raton Fire Rescue where he has served the City of Boca Raton for the last 17 years.  Prior to that he was a Firefighter/Paramedic with Riviera Beach Fire Rescue and also served the United States Air Force as a Firefighter.  He is also extremely active in his boys' lives, especially their sports and travel teams.  When he is not at a game, he can be found playing catch in the yard, swimming, or playing basketball with the boys.  <br /><br />Craig's treatment plan and future are difficult and unknown.  Craig has spent most of his life serving his community and others, but now he needs our help.  Please help if you can.  The funds raised will be used to cover his medical bills and other financial obligations or needs that the family may have.  Our hope is that these funds raised will help alleviate their financial burdens so that they can focus on his health and getting him back to serving his community as well as doing the things that he loves the most.  Thank you all so much for your kindness and generosity.<br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/49753318_1595120119470167_r.jpeg" alt="49753318_1595120119470167_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/49753318_1595120204503788_r.jpeg" alt="49753318_1595120204503788_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />Organized and updated by Marsha Farmer, Melisa Dowling, Amanda Greising &amp; Angel Christie.

<p>A member of our Bak family needs our help! Our secretary, Tammy King , unexpectedly lost her husband Charles last month. <br />Tammy is a private person and has been enduring this loss alone. It’s not in Tammy’s character to ask for help, so I am doing it for her. My goal is to help ease some of her stress from the financial burden they are enduring from the passing of her husband.
</p>

<p>Tammy has always been such a selfless, giving person and always welcomes our students and their families with a smile at the front desk.<br /> Her husband Charles was a Manager for Walgreens in West Palm Beach for 20 yrs and a Marine for 8 yrs. He carried the Health Insurance for the family, including their daughter who is 7 months pregnant and due in October with her first child. Unfortunately, Walgreens notified the family that all of their health coverage ended July31st.
</p>

<p>With all the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings financial burdens. The family is struggling to make mortgage payments on the home they shared. The family needs help regaining health insurance and securing their home before the arrival of their grandchild. We ask that you make a donation to Tammy and her family. Please help make a difference for one of our Bak family members during these unfortunate times. We are thankful for any support you may be able to provide as every little bit helps! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your consideration.<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50054960_1596555594324707_r.jpeg" alt="50054960_1596555594324707_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br />

Also please share this Go Fund Me page so we can get this out there! Thank you all in advance!
