<div>We are the Mount Airy Ukulele Invasion (MAUI), and George Smith is our leader. But, George is much more than just our music teacher. Whether he is raising spirits in a retirement community or gigging at a local hotspot, George brings kindness and joy to every project. He is selfless and kind, and he touches peoples' hearts. Now, MAUI asks for your help to support George!

<div>On July 12th, 2022, after a MAUI ukulele class, George returned home and suffered the second heart attack of his life. <div>His extra-large heart required emergency surgery called a cath procedure to insert a narrow tube called a "Stint," which holds open the blood vessel.  At that time, the cardiologist learned that two additional blockages would require a second procedure on August 11th.  As of August 11th, doctors could only successfully reduce one of these blockages by 80-70%.  George and his family now face additional heart procedures and MAUI is asking for your donation.  George would probably say it like this, "Do what you can if you're able."

<div>A Loved member of this community and friend to many tragically passed this weekend leaving behind loved ones that are truly heart broken and doing the best they can during this difficult time. We are asking that if you can to please donate to help offset some of the costs of the funeral fees, medical bills and other bills that the family has accrued. We also ask for continued prayer and support for his children, Brittany Lawson and family. All donations will go directly to Brittany Lawson to help support her family during this time.

My name is Wendy Stitt. My husband, Mark Stitt, owns Stitt's Tree Maintenance, LLC.  This morning, Wednesday, October 14th, 2020 one of our workers, David Craig, lost everything due to a house fire. David and his wife Melissa have 2 children, Richard and Laci, along with Richard's fiancé, Katie, living with them. They didn't have any home owner's insurance. They are going to have a long road ahead of them recovering from this devastating event. They are going to need a home, appliances, furniture, toiletries, food, cookware, linens, clothes, shoes.....basically everything to start over with. Clothes sizes are    Men's pants 32x32   Men's shirts  Large to X-Large     Women's pants 10-14     Women's shirts   Medium to Large.  Wal-Mart gift cards, gas gift cards, Visa gift cards, etc. are much appreciated also.<strong> If you have anything you would be willing to donate we have a drop off site at Stitt's Tree Maintenance 732 Main Street Hudson, NC 28638.</strong>

Raising The Craigs From The Ashes

On Monday, August 27th our church Faith Baptist in Mount Airy, North Carolina caught on fire due to electrical malfunction. Resulting in a total loss. Unfortunately insurance will not cover the build at 100%.  Our congregation ask for your help in rebuilding our Sanctuary. Let’s come together as a community to support Karla Lyles Wilmoth, who recently lost her husband, Keith, in a tragic accident on the morning of October 25, 2017. <br /><br />Keith, a pastor, husband and father of three young children,  was working to remove a tree from a power line in Alexander County when the tree he was cutting fell back onto him, causing his death.
