Hello Family and Friends. As alot of you know I am a new widower who lost my husband to stage 5 cancer in October 2025. Making me to be a single Mother to 5 children. However 2 out-of home Graduating from UCLA and San Marcos College. Leaving my 3 children's and My adorable Foster Niece in my care. Before my husband past in october His Last great deed was Helping get my Niece Out of foster care in March of 2025. Alot who knew my husband knew that we BOTH grew up in the foster care system that is so extremely Broken. EVEN while Mike was slowly fading from his aggressive cancer he still did everything in his power to provide and make sure his family and extended family was taken care of. With ALL of that it's been a continuous battle with trying to fight the system with keeping my niece in my care. I have called and tried to get numerous council to help represent me however their Fees are so Absolutely Expensive that I just can't make that end meet. My niece belongs in my care and NOT thrown back into the system due to lack of follow through and the correct papers filed. I had been trying my hardest to get help with family and friends trying to help me also however hitting road block after road block. I have found a SHARK of an attorney who deals with DCFS cases in which I need. He informed me that I am getting railroaded in many things that arent going in my favor due to not having anyone speak on my behalf. So with that his Request for payment is $55,500 all in which is CRAZY!! I'm doing everything I can to help save and keep my niece in my care BUT I can't do it all by myself. So with that I am asking for ANY help. EITHER way I'm needing representation and this GOFUNDME is specifically for that! I know life is at its craziest and all I can do is TRY. So This gofund me is for My niece. To help keep her in the stable healthy environment she has been in for over a year. Those that have met her know how much she is extremely happy and bonded with us and our community. I appreciate anything that can help. Thank you for your time and any effort.
