Well it's been challenging and there are no guarantees that she will fully recover or walk again but I will never give up on her...No vet will perform surgery that she needs without an outlandish amount of money but I will stick by her side and be her back legs for her if that's what I gotta do! My love for my fur babies is real! Never been more heartbroken than I am right now...it's a true eye opener to how precious life really is...❤️‍
My 2-year-old kitty, Mazie, was attacked after she got out last night, and I am trying to get her the help she needs as quickly as possible. I have called everywhere near me for emergency animal care, but every place told me they were booked. The only option I was given was MedVet, which is nearly two hours away, and right now I do not have the means to get her there. Mazie is in so much pain, and my heart is completely broken. I am on disability, and I have not been able to find help anywhere nearby. I feel helpless knowing she needs urgent care and I cannot get her there on my own. The funds from this fundraiser will help pay for transportation to MedVet and for emergency medical attention once Mazie gets there. If it comes to it, the funds may also help cover end-of-life care if that is what she needs. If you are able to donate or share this fundraiser, it would mean so much to me and to Mazie. Any support could help me get her the care she needs right away.
In loving memory of my cherished family member, I am launching this GoFundMe campaign to support the American Kidney Fund. They dedicated their life to helping others, and I believe that honoring their legacy through this important cause is a beautiful way to keep their spirit alive. The American Kidney Fund works tirelessly to fight kidney disease and support those affected by it. Your donations will directly aid in: Providing essential financial support for patients undergoing treatment. Funding programs that promote early detection and prevention of kidney disease. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of millions who are battling kidney disease. Please consider donating in memory of my loved one, and let’s join forces to support the vital work of the American Kidney Fund.
I am trying to reach out so I can go back and forth to classes so I can bring my fiance home for home dialysis. That's all he wants to do is be home around his grandkids and his personal surroundings. I don't have the greatest car, and I have to travel an hour plus 3 to 5 days a week just to take these courses so I can learn how to do it so he doesn't have to sit in a clinic, which we still have to travel 4 to 5 days a week to get to so he can just sit there and not be comfortable. I'm doing all I can, and we are both on disability, and I could really use some help right now. I just want to bring him home.
He starts home dyalisis in 3 weeks..I must finish these classes so it can happen...please help me bring him home for this..need all the support I can get..car needs some work and I still have to get back and forth the the clinic to learn all I can.
My name is Michele, and I am starting this fundraiser for my fiancé, Michael, and for our household as we try to get through an overwhelming medical crisis. Michael is going through dialysis three or more days a week, and he recently had surgery on his arm for a fistula so he can begin home dialysis in the near future. Before he has even had a chance to heal from that, we were told he now needs a hip replacement as well. He has also been in and out of the hospital, and most recently he went into septic shock after an infection in the port in his chest. It feels like one serious issue after another, and I honestly do not know what he is going to have time to heal from first. I am on disability myself, and with only one vehicle, getting him to all of these appointments has become physically, emotionally, and financially exhausting. The costs are piling up faster than we can manage. We are struggling with medical bills, transportation, gas, and car repairs after putting so many miles on our vehicle. Our car also needs an inspection, tires, and repairs from being sideswiped a few months ago. I also need to take a course in Robinson Township, Pittsburgh, which is about an hour and five minutes away from us, so I can learn to administer Michael’s home dialysis. I will need to travel there three days a week while also helping Michael get to dialysis and other appointments. The $2,000 is not just for the class itself. It is for the things we need at home for Michael’s care, along with the travel expenses for me to get back and forth to the course. We will also need special equipment in the house as he recovers from his hip replacement and continues treatment, and a home health nurse will be coming weekly. I am doing everything I can to make sure Michael gets the care he needs, but we have reached a point where we cannot do this alone. If you are able to help, please know that any donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference for us. Your support will help us keep up with the medical and travel expenses, prepare our home for Michael’s care, and make sure he can get safely to the appointments and treatments he needs. Even if you cannot give, sharing this fundraiser would mean so much. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for keeping Michael in your thoughts as we face this very difficult season together.
Michael and I have been together for nearly 24 years, and he’s always been my partner and my support. Now, he’s facing acute kidney failure, with both kidneys functioning at less than 29%. The doctors say it’s going to be a hard road ahead, and he’s in pain from polyps on his kidneys. They’re checking him for blood cancer, which may have developed from toxins after his kidney ruptured the day before Thanksgiving in 2024. Dialysis is likely, and it may need to happen daily at a hospital or facility, depending on his condition. Our transportation situation is dire. The car we have was wrecked and isn’t fully repaired, so it’s not reliable for daily trips to the hospital. If Michael ends up needing a wheelchair, I’ll need a safer vehicle—like a truck or SUV—to help him get to his treatments. I’m on disability myself, so keeping up with the costs and the vehicle is overwhelming. Out-of-pocket expenses for his care are expected, and I simply don’t have the funds to cover everything. I’ve always been the one to help others, and asking for support is not easy for me. I would be forever grateful for any kind of help. I’ve never received support before and usually go without, but I refuse to let Michael sit in limbo. I’ve heard wonderful things about the GoFundMe community, and I won’t stop fighting for him, no matter how difficult the circumstances. Your support means everything to us.
