<div>Since November 2025, they have been dealing with a serious knee injury related to my rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately, this injury has taken them out of work for an extended period of time. They have been unable to work for much of the last month, and while recently securing healthcare, they are facing a long recovery ahead and will likely miss most, if not all, of February as well.

<div>Bartending and working in food and beverage has been their full-time career and passion. Being unable to work has meant lost income, while medical bills continue to add up. This has been an incredibly challenging chapter of their life, especially after how hard they’ve worked to rebuild, stay sober, and remain active in the community they love.

<div>They have always tried to give back — whether through advocating for the LGBTQ+ community, supporting others in sobriety, or simply being a positive and welcoming presence behind the bar in Richmond. Help Vanna Heal and Stay Active in Richmond

My name is Anne, and I am currently waiting for a disability hearing. This process has taken much longer than I ever expected, and it has left me struggling to keep up with my rent and utilities. Each month, the bills pile up, and the uncertainty of my situation has made it difficult to stay afloat. I have always tried to be independent, but right now, I need a little help to get through this challenging time.

<div>This is a GoFundMe for Annamarie, a 39-year-old mother of four children aged 13, 16, 18, and 20. She is currently in desperate need of new lungs as a result of a lifelong disease called <strong>scleroderma</strong>. Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease that can affect the skin, blood vessels, and internal organs like the heart, lungs, and digestive system. Her lungs are currently working at 40% capacity, and without new lungs, that percentage will continue to drop.

<div>She is a loving, hardworking mother, but this disease has prevented her from being able to financially provide for herself and her children. She is currently living in a shelter, and as a result of not having stable housing, she has been denied a lung transplant <strong><em>three times</em></strong>. Transplant programs require patients to have stable housing and a support system because successful recovery depends heavily on consistent follow-up care, reliable contact, and the ability to manage complex post-transplant medication regimens for life.

<div><strong>Doctors have given Annamarie until January of 2026 to move into stable housing, or she will be faced with denial once again.</strong> Raising enough money or giving her a place where she and her children can live for at least one year is the only thing that will allow her to receive the transplant she so desperately needs.

<div>Funds raised will first support Annamarie in securing stable housing and cover costs associated with eligibility for her lung transplant. Any additional funds will be used to assist other homeless families in Long Island facing similar urgent medical and housing needs.

I am honored to share that I have been accepted to the Hazleden Betty Ford Foundation Graduate School for Addiction Studies through their alternative admissions program. This is a unique opportunity for me, as I do not have an undergraduate degree and therefore do not qualify for federal financial aid. When I enrolled, I had income from side hustles that would have covered my tuition, but unfortunately, I lost those sources of income after starting the program. Despite this setback, I have almost completed my first class and currently have a 98% average, which shows how dedicated I am to succeeding in this field.

 Throughout my career as a chef and restaurant owner, I have used my platform to advocate for important causes and support my community. My journey in long-term recovery has inspired me to dedicate the rest of my working life to making a difference for those facing addiction. This graduate program is the next step in that journey, and I am deeply committed to using my education to serve others.

 The funds raised will go directly toward tuition for the program, which is primarily online with just two required in-person campus visits. Help Jennifer & Sean’s family fight breast cancer

<div>Iris Smith never imagined she’d face stage four breast cancer and homelessness at the same time.

<div>For most of her life, she’s worked hard to take care of her family — which now includes her disabled daughter and two young grandchildren. She believed that if she kept pushing, kept praying, and kept working, everything would be okay.
</div>

<div>But this year, everything changed.

<div>A few months ago, Iris passed out at work from exhaustion. She worked in a busy restaurant and was used to long days on her feet. But this time, her body gave out. When she went to the hospital, doctors ran several tests — and the news that came back changed everything.

</div>
<div><strong>She was diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer that had already spread to her back, liver, and lungs.</strong>
</div>

</div>
<div>She had to start treatment immediately, and could no longer work to provide for her family.

<div>Without steady income, she’s been trying to hold everything together — paying rent, keeping the lights on, and making sure her grandchildren had the things they needed. But as bills pile up, it’s been harder and harder for her to stay afloat.

<div><strong>Now, on top of battling cancer, she’s also facing eviction.</strong> We’ve reached out to local agencies, churches, and nonprofits, and they’ve helped as much as they could. But it’s not enough to cover the rent and the growing costs of transportation to and from treatments.

<div>Iris has been evicted from her home and has moved in with her sister for temporary shelter. Space is limited and they are currently sleeping on a pull out sofa bed until other, more permanent housing arrangements can be made.

Help Iris Fight Cancer and Avoid Homelessness

<div>My name is Linda Brister, the Mother and caretaker of my daughter Nicole and her 3 children. My daughter, Nicole Harris, has been battling Mutiple Myeloma for almost 2 years. Initially we were told that multiple myeloma was not curable, but very treatable - with new treatments coming out all the time. It turns out that she has an aggressive form of multiple myeloma. She is on her 8th line of treatment and is running out of options.
</div>

<div>Medicaid is her only form of insurance, and while they pay for most things, she missed out on a clinical trial because it was out of state and medicaid would not pay for the initial assessment that was required. We are trying to get her healthy enough to get into another clinical trial that may give her more time with her children.
</div>

<div>She has been trying to get social security benefits for over a year now and has just been given the "run-around". She can no longer work so her only source of income is child support. Financially, it has been extremely stressful for her.
</div>

<div>My daughter is a single mom with 3 children ages 17, 13, and 10. They are her world, and even though she may not have all the time in the world to be with them, I want to help her get as much time as she can for them.<br />We just found out that Nicole does not qualify for any of the clinical trials due to her blood count and platelets being too low.  We are asking for help with end of life care, funeral expenses, and the children's future well-being and education expenses.<br />Sadly, Nicole has lost her battle with cancer. She passed away on Thanksgiving Day surrounded by her family.
</div>

<p>Stacey was recently diagnosed with liver and colon cancer and spent a few days in the hospital. She is undergoing chemotherapy and is staying hopeful and optimistic with the support of her friends and family. We are very thankful for the friends who have reached out and offered support and could use a little help covering the bills for the hospital stay, specialists appointments and forth coming treatment bills. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
