For years, Matt has looked out for and inspired a large group of virtual pilots who fly combat aircraft in a virtual environment. His dedication, countless videos, updates, late nights, and unwavering passion have helped build the simulator that so many call home. Now, Matt is facing a new challenge: he is currently fighting bone marrow cancer, and the financial burden of medical bills and daily expenses is weighing heavily on him.

<div>Last October my fiancée Tyla was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a chronic neurological condition where her brain is unable to drain the cerebrospinal fluid naturally. This can cause chronic pain, severe headaches, fatigue, and other debilitating symptoms. Shortly after her diagnosis she had emergency brain surgery to place a VP shunt. Two weeks after her release, she suffered a CVST stroke, from multiple blood clots forming in her brain due to the surgery. Thankfully since the stroke was caused by the surgery we were able to get the first bill of over half a million dollars completely covered through the hospital.

<div>However, this week, her shunt was over-draining, leading to her needing multiple adjustments and extensive testing. These complications lead to her being in the hospital for a week. Unfortunately, instead of receiving understanding or accommodations for her medical condition, she was terminated from her job because of it. Losing her income so suddenly on top of the medical challenges has placed an overwhelming financial and emotional burden on us.

On behalf of the Nodal family.<br /><br />On 5/7/2021, Rene Nodal was involved in a motorcycle accident, near Shamrock, TX. This is far from home in Fresno, CA. A truck driver pulled his truck over, blocked traffic, called Rene’s wife, called 911, and saved Rene’s life. Rene is currently in a hospital in Lubbok, TX. He will probably be there for weeks.<br /><br />As of now, Rene is sedated and intubated. His CTs show a clear head and torso. There is muscle missing and are several broken bones in both legs, both feet, and left arm. There are surgeries needed, skin grafts required.... all before rehabilitation can start. His wife, Andi, cannot be out there because she needs to be present for their three children. She is devastated.<br /><br />Andi and Rene are parents to Nathaniel, Hayleigh, and Elissa. They are processing through a nightmare.<br /><br />The steps are very uncertain, as there are no answers. The family is taking it minute by minute.<br /><br />In time, Rene will need to be transported home, as well as need things to rehabilitate and recuperate. We are asking for support to help with bills, eventual travel and transportation, and additional incidentals to help support the family through this chaotic and stressful time.<br /><br />No amount is too small, anything will be greatly appreciated.

He was a proud Navy supporter and plane enthusiast, with both is father and brother serving as Navy pilots. Brian earned his MBA in December 2018- a huge scholastic achievement. Brian had a love for bowling and along with Julie, was in a league. He enjoyed comedy and fantasy movies and board games. Brian was a true gentlemen toward Julie: he always opened her car door, cooked dinner every night, spoiled her with flowers, and all things Captain America. His dream was to retire early and spend his time gardening and maintaining a pristine yard and go on long road trips with Julie. <br /><br />Brian and Julie were newlyweds, marrying in March 2020, just before the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of celebrating a year of firsts as husband and wife, Julie, is now making memorial arrangements. Today we have learned that one of our long-time friends and fellow RAT, Geof "Docdoom" Evans, has been diagnosed with Lymphoma (cancer). Help "Doc" fight against Lymphoma

Jonathan Terrell or "Cap" as he is known in the DCS community is a YouTuber with a passion for aviation. He is the founder and leader of the "Grim Reapers" a group of avid flight enthusiasts who fly missions together in a flight simulator known as "DCS World".  Jon spends his time creating stunning cinematic videos for the YouTube community to enjoy. However, Jon (who has a pre-existing condition known as "ME") was recently diagnosed with late term testicular cancer. He is now set to undergo 9 weeks of chemotherapy before he can be released from the hospital. DCS community fund for GR's Cap

In the rememberance of Mike Bentley, his grieving four sons and wife are looking to you for your gracious support.  Recently, we have lost our loving father and devoted husband to a tragic accident and are in need of funds for immediate expenses.  All proceeds will go towards funeral costs and accrued medical expenses.<br /><br />Mike has done so much for his family and community.  As a family, we want our father's life to be remembered properly. My father, Clint Bates, retired Navy Chief  of 22 years, has stage 4 lung cancer. He was diagnosed in November of 2014 with sarcoma. After removing a rapidly growing tumor in his back, we found out the cancer had spread to his lungs where he has approximately 30 tumors that we know of for sure. He and my mom, Monique Bates (also his full time care giver) are traveling to Houston Texas in hopes of getting treatment from the very best at MD Anderson. Our family has been extremely blessed to have such an amazing support system throughout the difficult past few months and are very thankful. My father, Chief Bates, has always been the type of man to put everyone else before himself and is one of the most selfless men I've ever known. He is also extremely prideful of his family and has never failed to give us nothing shy of the very best there is to offer. I wish I could give him the world like he has done for my family and I, however, I can't do it on my own. Since his retirement from the Navy in 2013, we have yet to find our dream home and get settled. One of the main things my dad wants for his family is to know that we have a comfortable place to live, but with him being 100% disabled and my mom only having time to be his full time caregiver, that hope is nearly impossible to afford. With that being said, I am trying to raise $50,000 to help my family afford to move into our dream home before the end of 2015. Any donations will help,big or small and wont go unnoticed. My dad still has so much to live for in life and we are convinced that he WILL beat this Cancer. I believe all we need now is Faith and hope. Thank you all in advance .
