Matt "Wags" Wagner is the Senior Producer for Eagle Dynamics and a beloved mentor to the DCS virtual pilot community. For years, Matt has looked out for and inspired a large group of virtual pilots who fly combat aircraft in a virtual environment. His dedication, countless videos, updates, late nights, and unwavering passion have helped build the simulator that so many call home. Now, Matt is facing a new challenge: he is currently fighting bone marrow cancer, and the financial burden of medical bills and daily expenses is weighing heavily on him.

Donations to this fundraiser will help cover Matt's medical bills, daily expenses, and take a load of stress off him while he undergoes treatment. By supporting Matt, we give him the chance to focus on his recovery and what matters most, rather than worrying about the financial strain that comes with cancer treatment. The DCS community has always been a little dysfunctional, a little sarcastic, and completely incapable of agreeing on whether the AMRAAM is overpowered. But when one of our own needs us, we show up.

The High Alpha Hooligans are honored to help lead the charge, but this isn't just our fundraiser. This belongs to every squadron, every content creator, every virtual pilot, every lurker, and every member of the DCS family. Every donation helps Wags focus on fighting bone marrow cancer instead of worrying about the financial burden. If you can't donate, sharing this campaign is just as valuable. Let's show Wags what this community is really made of. Blue skies, good hunting, and let's fight for Wags..

Hey everyone!

Last October my fiancée Tyla was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a chronic neurological condition where her brain is unable to drain the cerebrospinal fluid naturally. This can cause chronic pain, severe headaches, fatigue, and other debilitating symptoms. Shortly after her diagnosis she had emergency brain surgery to place a VP shunt. Two weeks after her release, she suffered a CVST stroke, from multiple blood clots forming in her brain due to the surgery. Thankfully since the stroke was caused by the surgery we were able to get the first bill of over half a million dollars completely covered through the hospital.

However, this week, her shunt was over-draining, leading to her needing multiple adjustments and extensive testing. These complications lead to her being in the hospital for a week. Unfortunately, instead of receiving understanding or accommodations for her medical condition, she was terminated from her job because of it. Losing her income so suddenly on top of the medical challenges has placed an overwhelming financial and emotional burden on us.

Right now, we are facing:

•	Ongoing medical expenses related to hydrocephalus

•	Loss of income after her termination

•	Basic living costs like utilities, food, and transportation

•	The stress of trying to stay afloat while prioritizing her health

On top of this we were planning on getting married sometime in March, however due to the sudden amount of bills piling up and her termination from her job, we may have to postpone the wedding.

We created this GoFundMe to help us get through this period while she focuses on her health, healing, and finding a better work environment. Any donation no matter the size will help ease the pressure and allow us to afford the follow up appointments scheduled in the near future.

If you can not afford to donate, sharing this gofundme, will be more than enough help.

Thank you so much for reading!

Jeb Ragsdale’s family

On behalf of the Nodal family.

On 5/7/2021, Rene Nodal was involved in a motorcycle accident, near Shamrock, TX. This is far from home in Fresno, CA. A truck driver pulled his truck over, blocked traffic, called Rene’s wife, called 911, and saved Rene’s life. Rene is currently in a hospital in Lubbok, TX. He will probably be there for weeks.

As of now, Rene is sedated and intubated. His CTs show a clear head and torso. There is muscle missing and are several broken bones in both legs, both feet, and left arm. There are surgeries needed, skin grafts required.... all before rehabilitation can start. His wife, Andi, cannot be out there because she needs to be present for their three children. She is devastated.

Andi and Rene are parents to Nathaniel, Hayleigh, and Elissa. They are processing through a nightmare.

The steps are very uncertain, as there are no answers. The family is taking it minute by minute.

In time, Rene will need to be transported home, as well as need things to rehabilitate and recuperate. We are asking for support to help with bills, eventual travel and transportation, and additional incidentals to help support the family through this chaotic and stressful time.

No amount is too small, anything will be greatly appreciated.

Help For The Nodal Family

Hi everyone. We are fundraising to help Mike Ferrell’s surviving family to help pay for funeral and other expenses.
Mike was a good and loyal friend to many of us over the years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as an Air Traffic Controller and then as a railroad conductor. He was an honorable man who loved his country and was never afraid to share his opinion.
We want to thank Mike for the laughs, love, and friendship that he was never short of by honoring his family with a humble donation.
Please give what you can . No amount is too little.
Thank you.

He was a proud Navy supporter and plane enthusiast, with both is father and brother serving as Navy pilots. Brian earned his MBA in December 2018- a huge scholastic achievement. Brian had a love for bowling and along with Julie, was in a league. He enjoyed comedy and fantasy movies and board games. Brian was a true gentlemen toward Julie: he always opened her car door, cooked dinner every night, spoiled her with flowers, and all things Captain America. His dream was to retire early and spend his time gardening and maintaining a pristine yard and go on long road trips with Julie.

Brian and Julie were newlyweds, marrying in March 2020, just before the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of celebrating a year of firsts as husband and wife, Julie, is now making memorial arrangements. If you are able, please help alleviate the financial strain on Brian's family due to burial and medical expenses.

Please keep Brian, Julie, and their families close to your heart and share his story.

Today we have learned that one of our long-time friends and fellow RAT, Geof "Docdoom" Evans, has been diagnosed with Lymphoma (cancer). This news is difficult to bare and we want to do what ever is possible to help Doc in this trying time.

If you know Doc, you know he's not the kind of guy who asks for help. CRS, both present and retired RATS, have all come together in recognition that we need to not only make sure people know about this, but are provided with an opportunity to help mitigate the burden now placed on our friend, and brother in arms, Doc.

As you have likely assumed, medical bills are starting to pile up, work is being impacted and the stress of the unknown is mounting.

If you are able to, please consider contributing to this GoFundMe campaign. In addition, please share this campaign to raise awareness and gain more support.

As we have come together before, the WWII Online community is a giving community, it is a brotherhood, it is no doubt, a family.

Please be sure to share words of encouragement, Doc is a writer and your text will go a long ways to boosting his morale.

--------------------------------

Doc is one of those guys who will give you the shirt off his back and never think twice about it. He is the guy who selflessly sacrifices for his friends and projects that he believes in. For me, he was kind enough to invite me into his home during my first trip to Dallas to meet him and the RATS in 2012. He is truly a one of a kind guy who is deeply rooted into the history of WWII Online, WarBirds and our entire community.

Doc's contributions to World War II Online have been countless. He was, and remains as ever, a true believer in this community and game. He invested many sleepless and difficult nights to ensure WWII Online's health as Game Manager, as a Producer, as a writer and as someone the community could communicate with.

He was there from the early days, through the re-launch to Battleground Europe, and for many years more.

You could be sure to find him at every convention, ready to chat and share his passion of gaming with you.

---------------------------------------

We'd like you to know that CRS is managing this GoFundMe initiative to help Doc, and all funds obtained will be directly contributed to him.

Thank you for your participation, it really means a lot to all of us, especially Doc.

Jonathan Terrell or "Cap" as he is known in the DCS community is a YouTuber with a passion for aviation. He is the founder and leader of the "Grim Reapers" a group of avid flight enthusiasts who fly missions together in a flight simulator known as "DCS World". Jon spends his time creating stunning cinematic videos for the YouTube community to enjoy. However, Jon (who has a pre-existing condition known as "ME") was recently diagnosed with late term testicular cancer. He is now set to undergo 9 weeks of chemotherapy before he can be released from the hospital. The goal of this gofundme is to raise money to help cover the lost revenue as Jon cannot work, the rest of the money will go to any other costs he might experience during his 9 weeks in the hospital.

*Due to some problems with currencies, donations will be sent to Alex "Signore" Cain, a good friend of Jon's and a member of the Grim Reapers. He will withdraw the money and forward it to Cap at a later time*

Jon's YouTube channel

Grim Reapers website

In Memory of Mike Bentley

My father, Clint Bates, retired Navy Chief of 22 years, has stage 4 lung cancer. He was diagnosed in November of 2014 with sarcoma. After removing a rapidly growing tumor in his back, we found out the cancer had spread to his lungs where he has approximately 30 tumors that we know of for sure. He and my mom, Monique Bates (also his full time care giver) are traveling to Houston Texas in hopes of getting treatment from the very best at MD Anderson. Our family has been extremely blessed to have such an amazing support system throughout the difficult past few months and are very thankful. My father, Chief Bates, has always been the type of man to put everyone else before himself and is one of the most selfless men I've ever known. He is also extremely prideful of his family and has never failed to give us nothing shy of the very best there is to offer. I wish I could give him the world like he has done for my family and I, however, I can't do it on my own. Since his retirement from the Navy in 2013, we have yet to find our dream home and get settled. One of the main things my dad wants for his family is to know that we have a comfortable place to live, but with him being 100% disabled and my mom only having time to be his full time caregiver, that hope is nearly impossible to afford. With that being said, I am trying to raise $50,000 to help my family afford to move into our dream home before the end of 2015. Any donations will help, big or small and wont go unnoticed. My dad still has so much to live for in life and we are convinced that he WILL beat this Cancer. I believe all we need now is Faith and hope. Thank you all in advance . Your prayers and support will mean more to us than you will ever know. Now let's beat this thing by being Chief Bates Strong!
