Hello Everyone, My name is Meyer (I go by MeMe). Asking for help has never been my strong point, and opening up like this takes a lot of vulnerability. I have spent a long time trying to handle everything on my own, but if I am honest, I have reached my breaking point. Now I understand that rebuilding sometimes means allowing support. Recently, I left and am healing from a domestically abusive relationship. Leaving that situation took more courage than I could imagine. The emotional, mental, and financial aftermath has been really heavy. As a result of the abuse, I also suffered a miscarriage—a loss that deeply changed me and intensified my need for stability, safety, and support. Right now, I am focused on rebuilding my life from the ground up. I am doing everything I can to move forward with intention and strength. One of the biggest barriers I face is the lack of safe, reliable transportation. Having a dependable vehicle would be life-changing. It would allow me to travel and work consistently, attend medical appointments, continue healing, and pursue creative opportunities. My fundraising goal is based on the cost of a Toyota RAV4 (Model years: 2016-2018), which is known for its reliability, safety, and fuel efficiency. In my area, vehicles in this range typically cost between $14,000-$18,000 (depending on mileage and condition). In addition to the vehicle itself, funds will also help cover necessary DMV and ownership costs, including: * Title and Registration fees * Taxes * License Plates * Initial insurance and inspection costs These additional expenses can range from $1,500 to $2,500 depending on state requirements. My total goal reflects the cost of the vehicle and the required fees, ensuring I can legally and safely get on the road without falling into further financial hardship. Any funds raised beyond the purchase will go towards maintenance and any transportation-related needs as I continue rebuilding my life. I am asking for support to help me purchase an affordable, reliable SUV that will support my daily needs and help me move forward without fear of breakdowns and instability.
