Broke but not Broken : A New Year, A Chance to Stand Again I am starting this GoFundMe as a fresh beginning for the new year—not because I want to give up, but because I am still trying to stand on my own two feet. Right now, the biggest barrier between me and stability is something many people take for granted: a car. Without a car, I cannot work consistently. Many of the jobs available to me—housekeeping, delivery work, and other flexible work I am physically able to do—require reliable transportation. I live with chronic health issues that require ongoing care. I need a daily inhaler to breathe properly, regular doctor visits, and medical attention for numbness in my left foot, which has begun to interfere with daily movement. I also experience high blood pressure and stress-related bleeding ulcers—conditions made worse by prolonged uncertainty, lack of work, and fear of losing stability.
