<div>Dear Lancer Alumni,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For 31 years, the St. Joseph Cross Country team has proudly hosted the Lancer Invite at the historic Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course at UW–Parkside. This race has become a tradition that has shaped generations of runners.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That tradition is now at risk. Parkside has raised course fees by 167%, and without support, the team may no longer be able to keep the meet at its home. Worse still, moving the race could mean losing the Invite altogether.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No one has worked harder to keep this legacy alive than Coach Jon Furreness. In recognition of his decades of dedication to our athletes and this meet, just recently, the event was renamed the Jon Furreness Lancer Invite.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We need your help to ensure the Invite continues at Parkside. Your gift—no matter the size—will directly support this tradition and allow future Lancers to share in the same pride and experiences that you once did.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To ensure this legacy continues, we are also planning to launch an annual fundraising event that will help offset costs and sustain the Invite for years to come. Thank you for helping us keep the Jon Furness Lancer Invite at Parkside.

Keep the Lancer Invite at Parkside

If you know Paul and Sara, you know they are loving, generous, and have a heart for the poor and needy.
For the past year, Sara and Paul have opened up their home to many children in foster care who were waiting to be reunited with their families. They have been waiting and hoping to be able to adopt a child of their own in the Lord’s time.
The Lord opened that door in a huge way one week ago when a long-time family friend helped care for a mother and her newborn baby who were found in a desperate situation. The Lord has been so present both in protecting this dear baby boy and his birth mother, and in providing a wonderful, loving home for him.
We have set up this account to help Paul and Sara with the adoption expenses (which will likely be around $20,000, but we’ll keep this page updated as we know more). Please help us bring this baby home to Paul, Sara, and their sweet daughters, Evelyn and Isabelle (who can’t wait to meet their new baby brother!)
My sister Sara set up a gofundme page for our family after my oldest son was diagnosed with cancer. It is a joy to get to use the same platform to help bring her son home.
