<div>After decades of providing love and support to our community, <strong>Oshalla finds herself, after a stroke, needing love, support, and resources while she recovers</strong>. Oshalla was rushed to Marin General Hospital and has since been transferred to a rehabilitation facility in San Francisco. She is focused on a full recovery and worried about how she will pay her basic bills for the next 5 months. <strong>Please help us alleviate these worries by donating for rent, groceries, PG&amp;E, and other monthly basics.</strong>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>*While GoFundMe requires one person's name as the organizer, these efforts are happening collectively within Oshalla's community of family and friends with her blessings.

<div>Jamahl Hewitt has always been a dedicated and hard-working husband and father of 5. His family is devastated and heartbroken from a tragic accident he encountered at work. They recently moved from Marin City but still hold a special place in our hearts and for that, I would like the community and beyond to help ease some of the pain and financial strain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In an unforseen circumstance, Jamahl was smashed by six granite slabs that crushed his chest plate, broke his back, kneck, collar bone, 12 ribs, and punctured his lungs. He is currently on oxygen and fighting for his life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jamahl is the financial provider for the family, as his wife is a stay-at-home mother. At this sorrowful and unfortunate time, the family has zero income. His wife is solely focused on being at her husband's side and emotionally supporting herself and their children, ages 16,14,12,8 and 2 years old.

<div>To Family and Friends:
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Jaquez DeShawn Sweeney was 22 years young and the victim of a violent crime. His unexpected death is a tragedy to our family and community.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Jaquez attended Archie Williams High School (formerly Sir Francis Drake High School) from 2014-2017 There he excelled in basketball and was heralded as One of the Best Point Guards in the Bay!
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>He was a loving and caring young father, and leaves behind a 6 year old daughter.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>With all the pain, devastation and emotion a death can bring, it also brings a huge unexpected financial burden. We find ourselves struggling to cover the costs to ensure that Jaquez is laid to rest peacefully. The family is asking for help with funeral expenses. We have created this fundraiser as a platform for anyone who is able to contribute. Any, even the smallest donation, makes a difference and is greatly appreciated. We need to pay all the costs associated with the funeral by October 20, 2021.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>It's a time such as this that we need to come together and stay strong. Our family is forever changed. We love Jaquez and will always miss him.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>We thank you in advance for reading, sharing, all your prayers and donations.  This fundraiser was organized on behalf of the family and Rickina Williams, Jaquez' step mother.  We appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love and support.  This has truly touched our hearts.  God Bless you all.
