Larry Berry, aka Elvis, my husband of almost eighteen years, the love of my life, is taking hospice care in our home in May of 2026, from a sudden onset of stage IV Esophageal cancer. Larry is a funny, charming family man. He bought a fake Elvis ID from a breakfast diner in Southern Georgia on our first-year anniversary during a road trip from Orlando to Charleston. Over the years, he got a lot of miles and laughs from using that card! He loves America and fought for our country in the Vietnam War. He raised two daughters and a grandson, has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and has had five wire fox terriers in his 82 years. He loves to dance in the kitchen, walk through his woods, and provide Kentucky wildlife on our land with a safe, healthy place to live. He is a mostly private man with strong morals, convictions, and values. He has a strong work ethic and lives life on his own terms. Sadly, his health emergency has left him unable to complete the biggest professional project of his life, putting a strain on our finances. Any support you offer means the world to Larry and me as he transitions. Your generosity will help pay for cremation services, any medical expenses for him, support my ongoing medical debt from cancer scans, other medical expenses not covered by my health insurance, plus other unforeseeable expenses that may arise in the near future, like the A/C unit going wonky just as summer approaches. It's always something, isn't it? Thank you from our hearts to yours, Larry and Maureen xo
