<div>We are raising funds on behalf of Mbemba Banja, a Gambian student studying in Medina, Saudi Arabia who has plans to in sha Allah build a Markaz Hifdh (Quran School) &amp; Madrasah back home in The Gambia (Banjul). He has been able to secure a plot of land 50x50 metres but now owes 800000 Gambian Dalasi (£9270) for this land which we are fundraising for.

<div>The Markaz intends to accommodate upto 100 students at a time and will provide Quran, Arabic &amp; Islamic studies lessons. This is Stage 1 of a 2 Stage project where afterwards we aim to build the centre after paying off the land.

<div>This fundraiser will have started within the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah 1445 where as the Prophet ‎ﷺ told us in an authentic hadith that Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days." The people asked, "Not even jihad for the sake of Allah?" He said, "Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing." (Reported by al-Bukhari, 2/457).

Establishing a Islamic Centre for Gambian Orphans & Students

Assalamualaikum dear brothers and sisters, some of you maybe be aware of the passing away of our dear sister Kahina,Umm sulayman in January from covid.

<div>She left behind her husband and their two children age 15 and 10.
</div>

<div>Her loss was greatly felt by those who knew her in the UK and in the UAE where they are currently living.
</div>

<div>Unfortunately a month before her passing Abu Sulayman was wrongly imprisoned for three months, which meant he wasn't there during the time of her death nor her janaza.
</div>

<div>We cannot imagine how difficult this time was for their children who have not only lost their mother but didn't have the comfort of their father, and for Abu Sulayman himself who was unable to bury his wife nor be with his children SubhanAllah
</div>

<div>To add to this a family member who supposedly came to help stole all of their savings and ran off.
</div>

<div>Alhamdulillah Abu Sulayman has received full pardon from the courts and his case has been completely cleared after 6 months
</div>

<div>we have come to know that he is in financial difficulty due to money his being stolen and also being out of work since his release.
</div>

<div> We would like to raise money to help support him and his family until he is able to find work and is back on his feet.
</div>

<p>Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un, <br /><br />My beloved brother has been taken from us in this beautiful month of Ramadan, to everyone who was lucky enough to to meet and know him, Jamal was unwavering light and positive force. He brought joy to those around him. The shock and hurt caused to my family can not be fixed, but inshallah with the help of your donation I will be able to build a well under his name.Charity (sadaqah) is from the things that save a person on the Day of Judgement and allow them to be under the shade of Allah. The prophet (pbuh) was generous and would be even more generous during this blessed month. I’m kindly urging you for your support and donation.
