My name is Darian, and I am a full time dental student at Howard University College of Dentistry asking for support to continue the education I have worked toward since 2019. Right now, I have a remaining balance of $3,600 for this semester, and paying it is critical to helping me remain enrolled and continue my studies. Changes to federal student loan funding through the Big Beautiful Bill, along with being unable to secure enough private funding, have left me with a gap I cannot cover on my own.

 This support would cover my remaining fall balance as well as my spring and summer tuition and cost of attendance. This would give me the stability to focus on school while I continue pursuing merit based institutional opportunities and the military HPSP scholarship to help fund the remainder of my dental education. Dentistry is my ministry. I grew up watching people I love struggle with periodontal disease without adequate oral health education or consistent access to care. Those experiences shaped my desire to become a dentist who helps patients move beyond pain and shame and toward health, confidence, and a smile they are proud of.

 Our family is heartbroken as we mourn the unimaginable loss of our beautiful Rayael Pearson (Rae-Rae) who was taken from us far too soon at just 14 years old. This was very unexpected and deeply devastating.

 Our Rae Rae  was the kind of person who filled every room with laughter. She was bold, outspoken, hilarious, and full of energy. If something came to her mind, she was going to say it and she always kept it real lol. She loved making people laugh, joking around with everyone she loved, and bringing smiles wherever she went.

 She had a deep love for music, especially rap, and if there was a beat playing, you could count on Rae Rae to be dancing or making TikToks. She loved volleyball, football, Hello Kitty, the color purple, and spending time with the people she loved. She was incredibly smart, affectionate, and had the biggest heart, especially for children. She dreamed of a future where she could work with kids because caring for others came so naturally to her.

 While so many people knew her as fearless and outgoing, those closest to her also knew her softer side. Rae Rae could be shy, nervous, and deeply emotional. She was soo affectionate and loveddd cuddles and hugs. She had already endured the heartbreaking loss of her father four years ago, yet she continued to face life with strength, laughter, and love.

 One thing Rae Rae was especially excited about was starting high school. She talked about it constantly and couldn’t wait for the experience. She made it through her very first day, but heartbreakingly, she never got the chance to see her second. She was soo excited she couldn’t even sleep the day before calling everybody to see her get ready.

 After battling ongoing medical issues, our family experienced every parent’s worst nightmare. We lost our sweet Rae Rae far too soon, leaving behind her loving mother, six siblings, and countless family members and friends whose lives will never be the same.

 We are asking for support to help our family during this unimaginable time. Donations will go toward funeral expenses, memorial services, a headstone, and helping ease the financial burden on her mother as she grieves the loss of her daughter. No parent should have to worry about returning to work while trying to bury their child. That’s an impossible task for a parent.

Hi, my name is Martha, and I’m a proud single mom of five amazing children. Today, I’m humbly asking for your support as I prepare to send my oldest daughter, Da’Maria, to Tennessee State University. Faith, Family, and a Future; Help Me Cross the Finish Line

Aleena Nevaeh Savaii was born on August 16, 2015 along with her twin Nhyomi.  Aleena was born at 1 lb 14 oz. She was growing normally, she was a happy baby. She is full of life and love. On January 1st, she was rushed to the ER in Reno, NV because she had stopped breathing. She would cry with no face expressions. At the emergency room, so many blood tests were taken and nothing was found. Until the last and final test which was a spinal tap fluid test. Her fluid was expected to be clear, but it came out cloudy. Then they found a horrible germ called in her, then she was diagnosed with meningitis and it had infected her brain. Instantly, she needed surgery to try and kill the germ. Doctors said she may not make it out the operation room because she was too sick. But our little fighter pulled through.  On January 3rd, she was air transported to UC Davis in Sacramento, CA. Doctors didn't think she'd make it on the way here. Again, our fighter proved them wrong.  We were told many times Aleena wasn't going to make it past certain days. Aleena kept strong through it all. She is currently on dialysis and it's starting to clot to where dialysis won't be able to do its job. We are putting an end to her suffering and finally going to let her rest and be free of pain. We are raising money for medical expenses and possibly funeral expenses. Anything is more than helpful to our family. And on behalf of my family, I'd like to thank everyone near and far who were with us every step of the way physically and spiritually. We ask for everyone to please be strong for Aleena. She has fought a long fight and she was so strong every step of the way. We owe it to her to let her rest peacefully. We love you Aleena. Your name will forever live with us. #TeamAleena
