Há muito telhado destruído que precisa de intervenção profissional e, com as chuvas fortes já sentidas e que se aproximam, os danos já se começam a propagar no teto interior, madeiras e chão. Prevemos que estes danos se alastrem bastante nos próximos tempos se não houver um trabalho de reconstrução urgente, dificultando ainda mais o processo de reabertura do espaço se não tomarmos medidas imediatas.

<div>Over 100,000 people are still without power or water, with no restoration deadline in sight, with many elderly and vulnerable residents completely isolated.

<div>I’m Inês Pereira, I grew up in a small village surrounded by pine trees in Leiria and I’m calling for emergency relief to support families restore their roofs and homes.

<div>I’m raising funds to support InPulsar, a trusted local charity - non-profit organisation (IPSS) based in Leiria, to repair homes, restore roofs, provide essential materials, and bring safety back to those affected.

<div>In the early hours of January 28, 2026, winds of over 200 km/h tore through my hometown of Leiria, along with surrounding villages and beaches, including Nazaré and Vieira. I was there and saw with my eyes.

<div>Hundreds of families lost their roofs and had their homes destroyed. Roads, schools, and factories were severely damaged, and relentless rains continue to worsen the devastation.
</div>

<div>More than 1 million people lost power across Portugal, and as of today, February 3, over 100,000 are still without electricity, hot water, or communication.
</div>

<div>It’s heartbreaking to be far away and witness so much suffering after Storm Kristin completely devastated the Leiria region.
