<div>My uncle Scott Guerin unexpectedly passed away at the age of 70 a few days after his birthday which was on August 9th. He was one of the few relatives on my dad’s side of the family I was close with and was one of the only remaining connections to my dad who passed away in 2003 when I was only 1, so having a relationship with Scott was very important to me. I first met him in 2016 online and met him in person a couple times after that when visiting California from Ohio. I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with him over the years since moving to LA in 2021, sharing memories of the family, the LA punk days, listening to records, drinking beer, hanging with his cats, getting Albredos, etc. I actually last visited him on the 4th of this month. I was always grateful for his wealth of knowledge, amazing humor, flawless memory, and stories only he could tell. He was a true original and one of a kind.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He didn’t have too many close relatives remaining and I was his closest living relative. With that comes the cost of services needed to lay him to rest and to take care of the financial aspects of departure. I also took in one of his cats who needed some veterinary visits and basic amenities such as litter and food.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>we’re raising funds to help pay for the costs of memorial service arrangements, cremation, and other lingering expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Myself along with my great Aunt Victoria are grateful for all the support and help during this time and would appreciate any financial support if possible. Even just sharing this would be greatly appreciated. I’d really appreciate any support I could get through this difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you all for the love and support.

<div>Our beloved Philip Littell is scheduled for an operation April 3rd on his prostate and being minimally covered (Medicare A only), he must come up with cash for his surgery. Philip has contributed SO much to the LA artistic community over the years, from his arrival in 1976 to the present (he's starring in my upcoming show!) that I/we would LOVE to support him in his journey back to health. Any little amount is most welcome! If we all do this together, he will be free of medical debt! All funds will go directly to Philip, artist, actor, performer, writer, singer, librettist and man about town!

<div>Help the Golub-Warner Family After the Palisades Fire. Donations will go towards non-covered expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our dear friends, Peter Golub, Cristina Warner, and their 19-year-old son Alejandro, were evacuated from their home on January 7th due to the devastating Palisades fire. While their apartment miraculously still stands, half of their building was destroyed. Many of their belongings are no longer salvageable due to severe smoke damage, and, even more concerning, it is unclear whether the building is structurally sound or if it can be rebuilt.
</div>
<div>At the very least the process will take several years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Most heartbreakingly, Peter's creative refuge — his studio — was completely destroyed, along with his grand piano, musical scores and manuscripts, an extensive score library, hard drives containing years of his work, instruments, books, CDs, and a lifetime of stuff.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Peter, Cristina, and Alejandro are wonderful people — part of our chosen family — who have enriched the lives of everyone they’ve encountered. Now, as they face this unimaginable loss, they need our help to rebuild and recover.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Starting over is an incredibly expensive and time-consuming process. Funds from this campaign will go toward the expenses that insurance and disaster assistance don't cover.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please consider helping them get back on their feet and show them they are not alone in facing this extraordinary challenge.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are deeply grateful for any support you can provide. No donation is too small, and every donation helps. Your generosity can help as they begin the road to recovery. And please help us spread the word by sharing this post.
</div>

Support the Golub-Warner Family After Fire

<div>Thank you so much for helping my family out of this exhausting, humbling experience.  We never could have imagined losing absolutely everything as we have.  Our entire neighborhood literally burned down to the ground.  The help from everyone has been amazing and needed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have (finally!) found a temporary place to call home and live for the next two-three years, in Highland Park, while we begin to start our lives anew.  It was through another gracious dear friend who helped us secure this for our family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you have been following the news, clean up is in Phases.  Our neighborhood has been through Phase 1 of clean up and we are now “Deferred to Phase 2.” Phase 1 is the phase where the EPA comes through and removes all visible hazardous materials and potential toxins (butane tanks, EVs, large batteries, etc.) safely from the properties. Deferred to Phase 2 means physical hazards such as unstable trees, blocked access, steep unstable slopes, basements, or unstable structures exist on the property that prevent U.S. EPA teams from safely accessing the property to remove the household hazardous materials.
</div>
<div>Phase 2  is whereby the National Guard will come through and bull doze the grounds to give everyone a safe ground to begin Phase 3.  Phase 3 is the stage that all of us are looking forward to: the rebuild.  It will be the longest and likely most arduous phase however, hopefully the final stage.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On behalf of my family, thank you all from the bottom of my heart.  It is so appreciated, more than you can imagine.  Thank you with love.

<div>LA-based tuba player and composer <strong>William Roper</strong> is a treasured member of the creative music community. Sadly, Roper lost his Altadena home in the 2025 greater Los Angeles wildfires. This emergency fundraiser fulfills the desperate need to secure this invaluable artist some sense of normalcy in the aftermath of a devastating event.

Help William Roper Recover After Wildfire

<div>Zachary has unfortunately experienced a severe accident that resulted in breaking his tibia and fibula in both legs. The surgery was a success and resulted in the placement of rods but the recovery process will be a lengthy, strenuous process for quite some time. His determination and positive outlook have kept him motivated throughout his physical and occupational therapy. This has been quite difficult for him being out of state as he is on the Autism spectrum and this has upended the daily routines in a familiar setting that give him the structure to thrive. It was an exceptionally traumatic experience for Zach as he has expressed both physical and financial worries and the burden this may cause for others.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have comforted him in knowing all those who have reached out, visited him and sent him gifts. He is looking forwards to spreading the joy and love he has brought to so many that are fortunate enough to meet him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, his recovery will require moving out of the hospital where he was receiving exceptional rehab within those facilities. (Where he quickly became a favorite patient!)
</div>
<div>This move will require transportation, in-home adjustments and in-home visits for both physical and occupational therapy. Insurance will only cover a portion of accruing bills and expenses that he will need to complete this journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Zachary's family is kindly asking for donations to help with these costs and assure he has everything needed for a successful, speedy recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you all. Go Zachzilla!

Support Zachary's Journey to Recovery

<div>Hello, my name is <strong>Rob Waller</strong> and I've known <strong>Paul Lacques</strong> and <strong>Victoria Jacobs</strong> for over 25 years. Along with <strong>Paul Marshall</strong>, we all worked together in the band <strong>I See Hawks in L.A.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78123285_1707251218619067_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Paul Lacques was diagnosed with Stage 3C colon cancer near the end of 2016. Paul made the difficult decision to keep his diagnosis as private as possible. In early 2017, Paul had surgery and began chemotherapy. The surgery was harrowing and the chemo was rough but the treatments worked and after about a year Paul was declared cancer-free.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78123285_1707498221586855_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For the next year or so life largely returned to normal for Paul and Victoria. They continued their busy musical lives with the <strong>Hawks</strong>, <strong>Earthworm Ensemble</strong>, and several other bands and music projects in Los Angeles. They enjoyed time together and with their families, including Paul's eight younger brothers and sisters, nieces, and nephews.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78123285_1707251277614705_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, in 2019 the cancer returned. The tumor was in a different location and determined to be inoperable. Paul, never one to back away from a fight, began to vigorously treat the now Stage 4 cancer with immunotherapy followed by more chemo, all while maintaining his music career and often playing gigs or recording very shortly after receiving treatment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78123285_1707497743403662_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That chemo continued until late in 2023. Despite the challenges of cancer treatment, Paul continued writing, recording, performing, and producing music at an astonishing clip. However, this past December, his condition began to take a turn for the worse. The chemo had taken its toll on several other systems in his body and mobility became an issue.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/78123285_1707251478943245_r." width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In early 2024, Paul checked into the hospital with an infection. Initial reports from the doctors predicted a short hospital stay followed by a return to cancer treatment but unfortunately his condition continued to worsen. He ended up spending <strong>two weeks in the hospital</strong> including several days in the <strong>ICU</strong>. Sadly, Paul passed away in the early morning of <strong>January 17th, 2024</strong>.
</div>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>As you can imagine, even with health insurance, costs and consequences of this kind of health crisis can be overwhelming. If you're able, we'd appreciate anything you can contribute to help Victoria cover these costs as she begins to navigate life without her beloved husband, Paul.
</div>

<div><br />
</div>
<div>No amount is too small, and no gesture unappreciated. Thanks so much for your time.

In Memory of Paul Help Victoria with Medical Bills

<div>well as many of you may know by now Carl Smool passed away on April 19th in my loving arms. I will so miss him as a brother and an inspiration for all my life.
</div>
<div>we are working on how to best commemorate and archive Carls Art . There will be a celebration of his life in Olympia in June and then a retrospective show in Seattle in August. There are thought of publishing a book as well as finding suitable places to archive some of the work in Seattle. Ongoing funds will assist with this project.
</div>
<div>Much Love, Gail Churape
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi my name is Gail Churape and I am Carl Smool's sister.
</div>
<div>Carl Smool, a PNW. Artist spent his early years in Seattle in the 70’s doing political Activist Art, both graphic, sculptural, and installation work. Later he was known for his T shirt designs and Fire Sculptures at Bumbershoot and the Millennium Burn at the Seattle Center.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He worked with W.O.M.A.D (World of Music Art &amp; Dance) researching Art cultures from around the world. And for them, he created stage backdrops and festival grounds textile arts reflecting different cultures which led to other cultural connections including the Beacon Hill light rail station.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After living and working as an artist in Seattle for 30 years, he had to leave Seattle due to the raising cost of studio space and the lack of funding for the Arts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Currently Carl is living in Olympia and is dealing with both financial and health issues. I have started this Go Fund Me to preserve his Art Archives and assist with his ongoing health issues.

Hello<br /><br /> <br /><br />Many of you know my mom from the many activities that she has been involved in through the years. She is constantly involved in the community giving her all to the kids of both Chewelah and Valley communities. About 6 weeks ago she got diagnosed with colon cancer. She got set up on a plan to fight it and on 7/16 started a very aggressive 6-7 week treatment of Chemotherapy and daily Radiation. After the first two weeks it has started to take a toll on her. She is a fighter and we are all staying positive that she will pull thru this. Of course with any diagnosis like this after fighting cancer she will be left with a pile of bills that will need to be addressed. What we are hoping with this Go Fund Me is to hopefully take the edge off the bills that have already started to roll in. She is a fighter and never asks for help so I am reaching out to our community to ask on her behalf. If you can’t give financially just send my mom all the love, prayers, and energy you can.<br /><br /> <br /><br />Thank you for taking the time to look at our Go Fund Me<br /><br />Love<br /><br />Adessa
