Hudson and Georgia were delivered last week December 19, 2024. They are currently in the NICU. Sadly the story doesn’t end there. Morgan’s delivery came with complications. After doing all that could be done for her, she passed away this afternoon (Dec. 28) She leaves behind her adoring husband , Sam Hughes (23) their darling babies, Hudson and Georgia (1 week old), along with both sets of parents and their siblings.

<div><strong>My name is Dominece and my only baby brother Medrick Burnett Jr., AKA "Meddy," who plays college football for Alabama AAMU #51,</strong> was playing in the Magic City game on October 26, 2024, and was severely injured after a head-on-head collision during the game.

<div>His 20th birthday was October 27th and one of the worst birthdays for us because he was in ICU and not doing well. He had several brain bleeds and swelling of the brain. He had to have a tube to drain to relieve the pressure, and after 2 days of severe pressure, we had to opt for a craniotomy, which was the last resort to help try to save his life.

<div>Our hearts are broken as we share the tragic news of the sudden passing of our beloved friend and family member Robert Montalbano.  Anyone that knew Rob would say he was a loyal friend, devoted father. brother, loving husband, and caring son who had a unique way of making people laugh all of the time.

<div>On Sunday, August 13, 2023, while at a work retreat in Austin, Texas, Rob's life was cut short way too soon.   He was enjoying a day with colleagues on Lake Travis, when the pontoon boat that he was aboard was struck abruptly by a personal watercraft.

<div>Rob spent his life as a public servant spending 25 years with the Juvenile Justice Commission before retiring to follow his passion in real estate.  Rob successfully joined  Keller Williams Realty and quickly became a top seller.  Rob used his superior people skills, humor, charisma and drive for success to jump-start his second career.  He was seen as a mentor during both his time with the JJC and with Keller Williams.

<div>Although extremely successful in his professional career, Rob's true passion in life was his family.   When not coaching his son Nick's travel baseball team, The Northern Burlington Bulldogs, Rob loved spending time with his wife Renee, and daughter Nina. <div>Rob will also be sorely missed by his many nieces and nephews, as well as the countless number of people's lives he touched.

<div>Hi my name is Shirley and I am asking for your assistance in raising funds for my neice, Octavia Brown and her 2 year old twin boys that were involved in Monday nights mass shooting in Kingsessing. Also for my 10 year old neice, Maniah, who was also in the car but physically unhurt. Psychologically, she is traumatized. One of the twins was shot 3 times in the leg and was just released from the hospital after receiving physical therapy to be able to walk again. This is just the beginning of many therapies, physically, psychologically and emotionally. Tavy is a single parent raising three sons alone. Because of this tragedy she is unable to go back to work. She has to stay home to take care of her children. Her other twin was grazed by a bullet and hit with shattered glass in the face as well as Tavy. We know that physically she’s okay, but the psychological trauma she’s experiencing will haunt her for many days. She will need help and support for herself and my 10 year old neice who is already experiencing trauma from nightmares. Your donations will help to cover the costs of her day to day living expenses while at home taking care of her children.  Even though her needs are great, more importantly, we are grateful to God that their lives were spared. It was truly a miracle that she and her babies are alive and we give God Glory for that. Our family will never be the same but we will be guided by Kaylin's positivity, optimism, and joy as we learn to live with her loss.

She was involved in a terrible accident with a wood burning stove which caused 2nd &amp; 3rd degree burns on over 1/3 of her body. Jessica is a single mom to two beautiful little kids who depend on her. She is one of the sweetest, and hardest working women that I know. On top of the bills my mom now has to now worry about trying to pay for gas to get back and forth to the hospital, Parking at the hospital, rent and food for the family. The Glynn Durkin Family

On June 28th our Jailene was an innocent bystander caught in the middle of another senseless act of violence in the city. Jailene was a young, bright and beautiful young woman with her whole life to look forward to. She just recently celebrated her 21st birthday.  Now her dad, sister and remaining family are left grieving the sudden tragic loss of Jailene. No parent is ever truly prepared to lose their child. Any donation to assist Jason in covering some of Jailene’s funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated. On Saturday, February 26, 2022, Aaron James Bates and his son, Aaron James Bates II (A.J.), unexpectedly died as the result of a tragic car accident in North Florida. Aaron and his wife, Katie, were high school sweethearts. A.J. was their oldest child, a high school senior at Lakeland High School, active in band and cheerleading. Aaron and Katie have four younger children: Caleb, Nora-Claire, Caroline, and Parker. The extended family members include uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents, and many life-long friends who consider the Bates "family" as well. It is important for us (both adults and kiddos) to talk about Aaron and A.J. To remember them. To mourn them. To keep loving them.

<div>As most already know 2 of our men were killed in a tragic motorvehicle accident on 12/07/2021. Unfortunately, both had no life insurance policies. <p>It has been nearly 6 months, half of a full year, since our generational family farm livelihood was completely devastated by a direct hit EF-3 tornado with winds up to 150 mph. As the hours grew into days, weeks and months we still are in disbelief of the magnitude of destruction in a matter of seconds to our home - our family's life work. <br /><br />The emotions have been overwhelming in more ways than one could ever imagine. From the first shattering glimpse as our family stepped from the basement, discovering decades of dedication to a family farm demolished. To the first completion of a barn giving back normalcy to our cows and our daily way of life. <br /><br />Every day has been more trying and demanding than ever before. However, we are certain this journey, in rebuilding our family's dairy operation to its original glory, would be very daunting without the support and aid of so many amazing people. There isn't a day that goes by which we are not grateful for the support from the very first moments of our new reality. It is because of all who outwardly continue to believe in us that we will persevere. <br /><br />We all have been working around the clock, over the last few months, making great progress rebuilding all the while fully running our dairy and grain operation. The unforeseen cost for so much rebuilding material and labor has been staggering. Even with so many donating their skills, time, equipment and materials. As if having a tornado demolishing your barns and crops wasn't enough, the cost of fuel, labor and material has significantly quickly risen. <br /><br />The bills have been piling in and we still have a long way to go in achieving our fund raising goal of 1 million dollars. To date the $120,000 plus raised has be able to pay for our heifer barn. The ladies have been truly enjoying their own space. We are so grateful for the generosity of all who have helped in this accomplishment. <br /><br />That horrible day 7 barns were completely demolished. This does not even take into consideration all the electrical lines ripped away completely that had to be fully replaced, equipment damage/totaled and total feed storage loss. <br /><br />As of now we have rebuilt 5 barns that we absolutely needed to ensure that all our cows have adequate living standards. We have replaced all 3 grain silos, grain dryer, grain augers, large feed storage barn, equipment repair shop, repaired equipment, replaced equipment, fixed damage to farm house, rebuilt pastures for the cows, removed debris from barnyard area as well as harvesting fields and tons of electric repairs. <br /><br />Progress has been steady and promising because of all who have supported us mentally, financially and through volunteering! We are so very humbled and full of gratitude to you!! It was a foot race trying to get these up and running as we had crops that needed to be harvested and loaded into these bins. We had 4 silos and this complete setup that was totaled in the tornado. <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/59698833_1645475369199890_r.jpeg" alt="59698833_1645475369199890_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />New footers and bases had to be created for all 3 new silos as the entire area of the original silos were destroyed. We had to demo the complete area before we could start over from scratch. That included dismantling twisted silos and removing the footers for all 4 original silos. This was a very daunting and labor intensive task while running a dairy operation. The local companies that donated time and material during this process we will forever be grateful too.  We were also very humbled by a farmer who had already purchased the last silo in the country that gracefully let us purchase his while he took our spot on the waiting list. Thank you!<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/59698833_1645475948203520_r.jpeg" alt="59698833_1645475948203520_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />One step at a time and we will make it back to the top! We were anxiously excited to start filling the bins this day. Thanks to the help of so many in helping us to not fall behind with new work and keeping somewhat of a normal schedule where we could. New stalls, plenty of room for each girl to hang out, curtains to block all that nasty wet winter weather and lights! Now we can see the girls for morning and night time checks properly and confidently know they are all doing well. Now we can easily open them to create a beautiful air flow in good weather and close them to help protect the girls when it gets nasty out. All our new barns we decided to go with blue. A beautiful mother, daughter, friend and wife was taken away from this world yesterday when a gunman entered her work at Allina Clinic in Buffalo Minnesota.  <br /><br />She was  the bright light in so many peoples lives, she could light up a room with her contagious laugh.  Lindsay was attending college classes to further her career to make sure she could provide a better life for her two beautiful children.<br /><br />Lindsay was only 37 years old when this unimaginable tragedy happened. She leaves behind her parents, two sisters, Donnie and two very young children that will be left without their mother. This family deserves nothing but the best and will have a tough road ahead of them. <br /><br />All proceeds will be going to anything her children will need at this unimaginable time.

It was one happy island. Heather and her husband were enjoying their anniversary vacation in Aruba when they were broadsided by a pickup truck.  Their rental car was smashed and rolled and ended up stuck under a tree branch.  The rescue team cut the car open and got Donny and Heather out.  Heather has sustained a broken neck, 6 broken ribs, a broken lower vertebrae and has internal bleeding.  <br />Meanwhile, the hospital only accepts cash and credit cards and they are looking to collect.  The doctor at the hospital says she will need to be medi flown back to the states for care.  She cannot take a commercial flight in her condition.<br /><br />If Heather has ever been that shining light in your life, please help.  She needs your help to get home and to help with medical expenses.

TONKA and LITTLE P are joining our #OneLuckyPup rescue program under heartbreaking circumstances and we are asking our community for help. Shortly after SARGE (now known as SAM in honor of the dog whose story led us to cross paths with him) was adopted by his foster parents his new mom, Crysti, learned her cousin, Kris, died during a hiking accident in Colorado. Kris had been hiking with his two dogs, who were his life, and a friend, Mark, when they became lost. They had only prepared to be gone one day and after two days of trying to find their way back, without water or food, they spotted a creek in a canyon below. During the descent down the canyon to get to the water, with Kris holding onto TONKA and LITTLE P beside him, he lost his footing and stumbled trying to pull his dogs to safety. All three of them fell to the bottom of the canyon. Sadly, Kris died upon impact. His loyal and well-loved dogs sustained injuries but were alive. From the top of the canyon Mark, who could not get to them, lit signal fires and hollered for help. He was found the next day by search and rescue helicopters. When search and rescue got to Kris his dogs were next to him, having not left his body since the fall.<br /><br />Mark refused to leave Colorado without TONKA and LITTLE P. When all three were stable and able to travel he picked them up from the local shelter where police had taken them and is currently making the drive back to Long Island to bring them to Kris’s family before he returns to Florida. <br /><br />We can all easily place ourselves in Kris’s shoes and would give anything to ensure our own dogs were taken care of in the face of tragedy. His family, devastated to lose him, is overwhelmed with funeral expenses and unable to afford the extensive emergency surgery needed to save TONKA’s badly broken leg and the x-rays to ensure LITTLE P’s jaw is not broken. They are just as heartbroken to not be able to care for his dogs. <br /><br />Our adopters are family and it is without hesitation that we committed to taking TONKA and LITTLE P into our rescue and rehabilitation program. When they arrive Thursday and will honor their dad by ensuring they receive the medical treatment they need. We will work tirelessly to find one adopter for BOTH dogs so they may stay together and heal from the trauma. Recovering from brain surgery #3 - Chiari Malformation <br /><br />While serving he was unfortunately diagnosed with Arnold Chiari Malformation while on Active Duty about 7 years ago. This is a rare brain disease with no cure. The Army performed his first brain surgery  in September,2012. Unfortunately, this surgery was not successful. His symptoms became worse. Reid said his partner, who was not reprimanded by the company, told the man they already had a patient and there was nothing they could do.<br /><br />Reid, who has driven ambulances for four years, said he knew the choking girl took a priority over the transport, and against his partner's urging, jumped out of the ambulance's back door and administered first aid to the girl, who he said had already turned blue.
