- Marble's Story Marble is a beautiful, energetic, and affectionate Pitbull mix, who is 10 years old. She was adopted at 1 year of age, and has been the best companion, and sister to her pet siblings (Dragon and MamaCat). Before 10/18/2025, there was no indication of illness and Marble was as energetic and she usually is. On October 18th 2025, her health took a turn for the worse and we knew right away something was terribly wrong. The journey to her diagnosis seemed like forever and seeing her in this state was devastating. Marble went through sedation for testing and then was went home. We left the initial ER with more questions than answers. The following 24 hours was heartbreaking because we did not know how to help her. Marble was not recovering from sedation as we had hoped and had lost control of her jaw. She was unable to eat without support, which led us to seeking a second opinion. The medical team from VEG spent 13 hours with us trying to figure out what was going on with Marble. Dr. Shaheen and his team were determined to help Marble and because of their commitment, we finally got a diagnosis. She was diagnosed with Lymphoma on October 20th and referred immediately to an Oncologist with VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona. We were given treatment options, and discussions about her quality of life were addressed. The decision to move forward with treatment came from Marble's fighting spirit. Since becoming sick, she has continued to demonstrate excitement with loved ones, finds joy in all of the activities she has done in the past, and has shown great resilience in her recovery so far. Marble's Treatment Marble’s Chemotherapy treatment is estimated to cost around 13,000 dollars, which is where all of your KIND and GENEROUS donations will go. While the cost for treatment may seem daunting, we remain hopeful and any donation you make is SO greatly appreciated. She will receive treatment once a week, with her first treatment occurring on 11/5/2025. Marble has a great support system that includes her human Dad, pet siblings, Aunt’s and human cousins, all of whom love her dearly and will fight with her during this challenging time. We plan to update this site with photos and information regarding her treatment every week. We thank you again for your consideration in donating, prayers and well wishes!!
