We operate teams and youth programming that aim to: Empower youth and young adults through accessible and inclusive soccer programs. Use soccer as a tool for community unity, youth development, and leadership. Our Mission & Goals While Maine Legends FC runs teams and youth programs, part of their long-term vision includes establishing a soccer academy that would: Provide affordable and accessible soccer training for youth in Maine (especially in Androscoggin County). Create space and facilities for year-round development. Expand opportunities for competitive play, coaching, and community engagement. This concept has been part of their broader mission to grow the game and support youth development in the region. Fundraising Efforts: Maine Legends FC has used fundraisers on platforms like GoFundMe to support several related causes: Some campaigns support club operations, league participation, equipment, travel, and facility needs. Others focus on specific team or community needs, like supporting families of players in hardship. Our overarching message emphasizes building opportunities for youth and community development through soccer.

Now, we are proud to announce the launch of Maine Legends FC Women’s Team – a team dedicated to empowering women through sports, breaking barriers, and showcasing the talent and determination of female athletes here in Maine. But to make this dream a reality, we need your support. Your contribution will go directly toward: Covering UPSL league and registration fees. Providing uniforms, training gear, and equipment. Who We Are Maine Legends FC is a semi-professional soccer club competing in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), National Division 1. Our mission is to provide opportunities for young athletes to grow, while using soccer as a tool for unity, inclusion, and community development in Maine. Why We Are Raising Funds We are rallying together as a club and community to support our player, Malunda Destino (Tchikano), who has been detained by ICE. Destino is not only a talented athlete but also a teammate, role model, and friend. His absence has deeply affected our team. Even more, his pregnant girlfriend is left to face this difficult time alone. Our United Effort Project Relief is raising funds for Destino’s legal fees. Maine Legends FC is raising funds to support his pregnant girlfriend. Together, we stand to ensure Destino’s family is cared for and to bring him home to his loved ones, his teammates, and the game he loves.
