# Help Keep The Pilea Plant Shop Growing If you've ever walked through the doors of The Pilea Plant Shop, you know it has always been about more than plants. It's where strangers became friends over DIY terrariums, where moms took a much-needed break from the chaos of everyday life, where families made memories together, and where people found a little peace surrounded by nature. Over the past several years, we've had the privilege of serving thousands of people throughout the Bay Area through workshops, plant care, home services, community events, and a space where everyone has always been welcome. Today, I'm asking for your help. Like many small businesses, we've faced challenges that have been incredibly difficult to overcome. Rising operating costs, changing shopping habits, increased competition, and slower foot traffic have placed an enormous financial strain on the shop. Despite working tirelessly to adapt, the financial reality has become overwhelming. My goal isn't simply to save a business. My goal is to preserve a community space that has brought joy, creativity, education, and connection to so many people. Your donation will help: Keep our doors open while we transition into a more sustainable business model. Continue offering DIY workshops, plant education, and community events. Cover essential operating expenses like rent, utilities, and business insurance. Expand our mobile workshops, in-home plant care services, and off-site events so we can continue serving the Bay Area in new ways.
