Hi, I’m Mackenzie. I am starting this fundraiser for myself, my husband, our one-year-old child, and our two dogs. Right now, our family is facing an urgent housing crisis, and we are asking for your help to secure a safe, stable place to live. Our Situation We have been staying with a friend, but the living situation has become too financially demanding for us to keep up with. Because we have been forced to put every dollar toward surviving, we haven’t been able to build up a savings cushion. We now have a very limited amount of time to move out, and we are facing immediate homelessness if we cannot find a place of our own. My husband is currently the only one working. He works incredibly hard every day to provide for us, but with our current expenses and the ticking clock, we simply cannot save fast enough to get ahead before our time runs out. How Your Donation Helps We are raising money to secure a safe apartment or rental home. Our goal is to cover the immediate upfront costs so we can establish a stable environment for our toddler and pets. Your generosity will directly fund: • The security deposit and first month's rent. • A housing cushion (paying a couple of months in advance) so we can get ahead on our bills. • Basic moving costs to transport our family safely. What This Means to Us Having a safe door to lock would mean absolutely everything to our family. It would give us the chance to catch our breath, stay together, and raise our child and care for our dogs without the constant, paralyzing fear of losing our roof.
