I am a military veteran, and reaching out for help is something I never imagined I’d do. I’ve always been someone who prefers to stay lowkey and handle things on my own, but the past few months have been some of the hardest of my life. After serving in the military, transitioning back to civilian life has been a challenge, but nothing could have prepared me for what I’ve faced recently. I became a victim of tax fraud, which left me with a massive financial burden. On top of that, my car was repossessed, and I now owe even more. The weight of credit card debt has only added to the stress, making it nearly impossible to keep up with daily life or hold a steady job. These setbacks have taken a toll on my mental health. I used to be someone who worked out five times a week and took pride in my well-being, but lately, I feel like a shell of the person I once was. The constant worry and depression have made it hard to see a way forward. I’m asking for help because I truly need it.
