<div>In honor of her memory and the impact she had on our lives, we are organizing a fundraiser to go towards the fellowship dinner and the needs of her children and long time partner, Ryan, in their most critical time of heartbreak and grieving. Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated and will make a significant difference.

Shawnta's Legacy: Support Her Grieving Family

<div>My name is Robin, and I am lucky to be Sunnie's sister. If you are like me, you have been blessed to have been on the receiving end of Sunnie's kindness. Not only is Sunnie there for anyone that needs her, but she is also known for “showing up” when you least expect it. She will be the first to donate her time and talent to those in need. She is the best listener, friend, and sister anyone could ever ask for.

<div>Something you may not know about her is that her eyesight has been deteriorating most of her adult life. Unfortunately, her condition is worsening, and Sunnie is at a point where she has had to step away from her career. <strong>Sunnie has a long road ahead with treatments for her condition that, as of now, are not covered by her insurance.</strong> I am hoping to lessen the stress and expense to her and Michael. If you would like to donate or just even share this story, it would be much appreciated. Please keep Sunnie, Michael, and their girls in your thoughts and prayers

<div>Our family is in need of help so we can lay our brother to his final resting place. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. He fought a hard battle but ultimately passed away Tuesday morning. We want to thank everyone for their support and kind words through this difficult time.

<div> Shawnta is only 35 years old, engaged to her long term partner of 17 years, Ryan. She has 4 wonderful babies. 14 year old Branson, 7 year old Rylee, 4 year old Scarlett, and 1 week old Maddox.

<div>Shawnta was scheduled for a routine induction with her 4th baby, a healthy baby boy. After 2 days in the labor, something went terribly wrong. Shawnta suffered an amniotic embolism and went into cardiac arrest. After an emergency c-section, Shawnta went into cardiac arrest again and they couldn’t get her heart back. After 8 long hours in the operating room, they were able to get Shawnta stable. Critical but stable. After 2 days on life support, Shawnta’s heart stopped a 3rd time and after a long fight, they were able to get her back again. Doctors prepared us for the worse, but nothing could have prepared us for the long awaited MRI results. On April 12th, we found out Shawnta has severe brain damage. Shawnta is a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Fiancé, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, a friend,<i> a true fighter</i>. Our family is absolutely devastated and trying to make the best decision for Shawnta and her babies.

<div>Shawnta adopted the name “Mother Teresa” because of her helping, giving heart. She took care of everyone and made it look so easy. She is a true <strong>Saint</strong>.

<div>Her fiancé Ryan is now alone taking care of 3 kids and a newborn baby, unable to run his farm. We are asking for any help and support we can get right now. It will help go towards Shawnta’s medical bills, help with gas money to get to and from the hospital, groceries, clothes, or essentials for the kids. Help towards Shawnta’s long term care if we’re able to get there. The support could help Ryan be able to return to work and provide for his family.

This past season we raced across Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, and Tennessee, on both dirt and asphalt, and we’re gearing up to do it again.
