What they care about

Just a girl who loves Jesus, family, friends & pups. Loves traveling, serving & advocating for animals, children, elderly, our veterans & those needing a voice.

Pray BIG for Jaren I'm reaching out to our friends, family, church community, and anyone who feels moved to help, asking you to join me in praying for and supporting one of the most incredible families I know. I've been friends with Karen since high school, over 30 years, and I've watched her family walk through challenge after challenge with unwavering faith. Through every hardship, they've trusted God, loved others, and put their family first. Karen and Casey are the kind of people who quietly show up for others, often putting other people's needs before their own. They would never be the first to ask for help, which is exactly why I felt compelled to create this fundraiser for them. Today, they need us. Their son, Jaren, has already overcome more than most people face in a lifetime. Several years ago, he survived a brutal assault that left him with a traumatic brain injury, a broken nose, and multiple other injuries. His recovery required countless doctor's appointments, therapy sessions, specialist visits, and an incredible amount of perseverance. After such a long road, he was finally beginning to heal, excited about working, earning his own money, and building his future. Then, without warning, another obstacle appeared. Doctors recently discovered a large lesion in Jaren's jaw, so severe that his oral surgeon described it as being "like an eggshell." The risk of jaw fracture and permanent nerve damage is high, and Jaren is scheduled for multiple surgeries, starting with a biopsy. His path to healing will require possible bone grafting, months of follow-up care, and ongoing monitoring. Jaren recently turned 18, which means he is now legally responsible for his own medical bills. Even with excellent insurance, the costs of surgeries, anesthesia, pathology, imaging, medications, and unexpected expenses are overwhelming. Karen and Casey have faced years of mounting medical bills from previous crises, and a recent costly move due to mold in their home has only added to their burden. Through every hardship, they have never stopped working hard, trusting God, and serving others. But even the strongest families need their community. Donations will help cover Jaren's surgeries, medical expenses, recovery, and the many unexpected costs ahead, allowing him to focus on healing instead of overwhelming debt as he begins adulthood. More than anything, Karen and Casey are asking for prayers, for Jaren's healing, wisdom for his medical team, protection from complications, and peace for their family. If you feel led to give financially, every gift, large or small, will make a meaningful difference. If you cannot give, please consider sharing Jaren's story and praying faithfully for him. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity will surround this family with hope and remind them they are not walking this road alone. Please join me in praying for: That Jaren’s biopsy confirms the lesion is benign. Wisdom for every doctor, surgeon, nurse, and member of his medical team. Protection from jaw fracture and permanent nerve damage. Successful surgeries without complications. Complete healing and restoration. Peace, strength, hope, and encouragement for Jaren. Comfort, wisdom, and endurance for Karen, Casey, and the entire family. God’s continued provision for every financial need. Please also pray specifically for Jaren’s heart. After everything he has already overcome, this latest diagnosis has been incredibly difficult for him. He was finally beginning to feel like life was moving forward, and now he finds himself facing another major obstacle. Pray that God would strengthen his faith, replace fear with peace, give him courage for the road ahead, and remind him that the Lord has never left his side. Thank you for surrounding this family with love, encouragement, generosity, and most importantly your prayers. Every prayer, every share, every kind message, and every gift is a reminder that God often answers prayers through the love and compassion of His people. “And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19”
