Camp Kalina is a YWAM base in Mt Hagen, Papua New Guinea, led by Elizabete Ferreira.
In this video, she shares the heart and vision for Camp Kalina and the work being done to serve the local community through discipleship, education, and practical help.
One of the most urgent needs right now is a reliable 4x4 vehicle.
The base is located high on Kalina Mountain, and reaching the main road requires walking down a steep and difficult mountain path. Supplies for the camp are often carried by hand from the main road up to the base.
Linda, a registered nurse from the YWAM Nelson base in New Zealand, came to Camp Kalina to teach through Bible School for the Nations. She shares how she and another teacher in their late 60s regularly walk down the steep mountain path to reach the main road, and then climb back up to the base.
A 4x4 vehicle would allow the team to transport supplies, welcome outreach teams, support staff, and respond more quickly to the needs of the community.
Funds raised will primarily help purchase a 4x4 vehicle, but any additional support will also help with urgent needs at the base, including plumbing repairs, maintaining the school that serves around 100 children, and helping reopen a small medical clinic.

Together we can help this community continue bringing hope and practical support to the people of Papua New Guinea. Every gift and every share helps make this possible.
