<div>I was assaulted by a complete stranger a while back. As a result of this assault, <strong>I have lost three top teeth</strong>. The perpetrator was caught and is currently in prison on felony charges.

<div>Anyway, because of my current appearance, even with a mask on, it is difficult for me to find employment. Believe me, I have been trying very hard to find a job. I lost my previous job after life-altering surgery last year. I am currently looking for remote and work-from-home jobs.

<div>I have fallen into a deep depression. So much so that my doctor put me on medication. It seems to be working.

<div>The reason I am telling you this is because <strong>I have fallen behind on my rent, four months to be exact</strong>. My landlord has been very patient with me, but today he gave me a deadline of one week. <strong>I need to raise $4,000 or he will proceed with eviction.</strong>

<div>Hi, my name is Brandee and I'm trying to raise $1 700 to help a feral cat rescue that I support. That is why I have increased the original total on this fundraiser. I am very grateful for all the donations we've received since we launched.

<div>The past 4 years have been very busy and stressful years for Happy Ferals with many emergencies and they need help to pay off this vet bill, so that they are able to keep treating not only chronic conditions, but also any emergencies that come up.

<div>They lost two of their beautiful residents recently. Domino passed towards the end of August and her mother Baggins on 15 November. On Wednesday, 27 November, one of their beautiful boys, Darcy, had to undergo life-saving hernia surgery which was kindly funded by donations.

<div>They are still paying off the bills for the cats that passed and are currently treating some cats for anemia and one for an ongoing fungal sinus infection. All of this is in addition to their regular medical needs for cats that have recurring respiratory infections, skin conditions and chronic IBS.

<div>The cats receive daily care as directed by a licensed veterinarian, and while they budget for those, they rely almost entirely on donations to cover the costs of out-of-the-ordinary veterinary visits and medications.
</div>

<div><strong>Who Are Happy Ferals?</strong>
</div>

</div>
<div>Happy Ferals was established in 2013 when a litter of feral kittens was found in some bushes. From there, it grew into an independent no-cage, no kill feral cat sanctuary, which is home to 26 feral-born cats. This sanctuary was created after the original colony was threatened with harm in their original home. Not wishing to see any of them hurt or killed, a solution was quickly found. All the cats have been spayed and neutered and receive round-the-clock care and attention by the sanctuary owner, Jo. Jo and her family have created an idyllic environment for the cats who have a large catio full of plenty of space to run, play or just chill out. They also have access to indoor spaces. This setup means that they can live a long and happy life without the threat of predators or urban hazards.

<div>In addition to caring for these felines, the rescue runs a Facebook group for the education, support, and networking of other rescuers and individuals working with feral cats in their areas. Jo has helped over 200 rescuers around the world with efforts to provide care and homes for at-risk ferals and continues to personally interact with and provide information to visitors and group members on a daily basis.

It Takes A Village: The Harmony Mountain House

<strong>Let's make Shannell's home wheelchair accessible!</strong><br /><br />"Two are better than one,  because they have a good return for their labor:<br /><strong> If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. </strong> <br />But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."  Ecc.4:9-10<br /><br /><strong>Imagine the unthinkable happens</strong> and you find yourself disabled and using a wheelchair.  Everyday life outside of your home is difficult enough.  Lining up help to get to the grocery store, get kids to school, get to medical appointments-----all of that is difficult at best.   <br /><br /><strong>But, what about life inside your own home? </strong> What if your wheelchair would not fit into your bathroom?   Your kitchen?   Your bedroom?  What if your life became limited to conducting all of your activities from a bed in your living room?<br /><br />Shannell's life is just that.  Daily activities that we all take for granted are impossible for her to conduct with dignity and ease.<br /><br />And---Shannell would be the last person to talk about it.  We all know her.  She is the first to help others and the last to ask for help for herself.<br /><br />And---she is the last to remind anyone that she and her two children were the caregivers for her mother, her father, and her aunt.   Each of these wonderful family members lived out their days in their own homes because Shannell marshalled the resources to make it happen.  All three were bedridden and were cared for until their home-going.  <br /><br />It's hard to believe but there just aren't many resources available to make homes wheelchair accessible.   We have done due diligence and found that most programs are loans.   Shannell has obtained some help to begin renovations, but more help is going to beneeded to complete the work.  We have found a contractor willing to oversee the process.<br /><br />That's where YOU come in.   Shannell is not without resources.  Ecclesiastes says,  "pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."   <strong>But Shannell is not without anyone to help her up because she has friends!    </strong><br /><br />Shannell is NOT alone. <br /><br /> Let's show her that.   <br /><br />Let's do this.   <br /><br />Let's make Shannell's home wheelchair accessible!<br /><br /><strong>We're asking that every friend of Shannell contribute.  No gift is too small.  This is an “all in” call.</strong><br /><br />Thank you! <br />Mary Beth Mudrick and Karen Cappello
