<p>Here's the short run down:
</p><br />
<p>I have been accepted into a university programme beginning September 2026, but unexpectedly due to Trump administration policies I have been denied the student loans necessary to pay for tuition and housing. Without this, I may face deportation to the USA during a time of transgender genocide. Please help!
</p>
<p>To make matters even worse, my job is refusing to renew my contract, and I am supposed to move soon but I am no longer able to afford rent. Shit has hit the fan, this is an emergency for me!!
</p><br />
<p>If you can help with paying for my tuition, (or have any leads on me finding visa-sponsorship via employment!) it would help save me!
</p><br /><br />
<p>------
</p><br />
<p>My name is Rose, many of you may know me as the artist Rose Wood. I'm here asking for support because I feel like I've exhausted my other options.
</p><br />
<p>I moved to Ireland three years ago to pursue an MA in Philosophy &amp; Public Affairs. I achieved that goal, and have remained in Ireland on a postgraduate visa. I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to find a job that would sponsor a visa for me.
</p><br />
<p>As a transgender American, it's of paramount importance that I be allowed to stay in Ireland. The US government has begun pursuing a policy of genocide on trans and queer people within its borders. The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention and Human Security has given multiple warnings that, "Genocide scholars say policies targeting transgender Americans match early warning signs of mass atrocity." (<a href="https://www.lemkininstitute.com/single-post/experts-warn-u-s-in-early-stages-of-genocide-against-trans-americans" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.lemkininstitute.com/single-post/experts-warn-u-s-in-early-stages-of-genocide-against-trans-americans</a>) That being said, I am doing everything within my power to avoid applying for asylum in Ireland. Asylum-seeking is a long and difficult process, and no trans Americans have had their applications for asylum approved at this time. As an transgender woman, activist, and academic in the fields of queer theory, progressive politics, and the phenomenonology of homelessness I am legitimately concerned for my safety should I be forced back to the US.
</p><br />
<p>To avoid seeking asylum, I have pursued further education that would allow me to keep my student visa. However recent legislation by the Trump regime has stripped away about half of the public loans that were available to graduate students. So now I am unable to get enough money to cover tuition, much less books, housing, food, or travel. I can't supplement that loan with a private student loan, as I don't have a creditworthy co-signer.
</p><br />
<p>On top of that, when I arrived 3 years ago, a foreign student only had to prove access to €3k euro to study in Ireland. They have since raised that €10k.
</p><br />
<p>On top of that, my current job as a shop assistant is refusing to renew my contract so I'll be unemployed in just a few weeks.
</p><br />
<p>So I am completely out ideas. I can't find a job to sponsor me, I can't find student loans or grants, it's too late in the year to apply for more scholarships. If this speaks to you, please help me out. If you don't want to donate here, consider buying my album on bandcamp. (<a href="https://rosewood420.bandcamp.com/album/written-crossfaded-recorded-stoned" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://rosewood420.bandcamp.com/album/written-crossfaded-recorded-stoned</a>)
</p><br />
<p>----
</p><br />
<p>I set €13k as the goal because I need about €1.5k to cover the rest of tuition. Then I need access to €10k for immigration.
</p><br />
<p>Thank you, and please wish me the best.

Urgent help to pay tuition and keep my visa

<div>Bryan and his 83-year-old father spent the last decade building an incredible LEGO Star Wars collection together. Their shared passion resulted in about 780 sets and more than 1,200 minifigures, with the hope that one day, selling the collection could help pay for their grandchildren’s college. Last year, Bryan consigned the entire collection to a Mystery company so it could be sold over time. The collection was so impressive that it drew news coverage and huge crowds at the store.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But in November 2024, everything changed. This Mystery company's corporate took over the store during a dispute with the franchise owner. When they seized the store, they also took control of Bryan and his father’s collection — even though it did not belong to them. According to Bryan, the company removed the identifying tags from the sets and continued selling the collection instead of returning it, claiming he could not prove ownership. Bryan and his father have tried going through authorities and legal channels, but the cost of forcing action in court could be tens of thousands of dollars, making it extremely difficult for them to fight back.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser is to help Bryan and his father recover their collection or the value of it and cover legal costs. If you can help in any way — even just sharing the story — it means a lot to their family. Your support can make a real difference in helping them seek justice and reclaim what’s rightfully theirs.

<div>I'm Alex, a recent graduate with a master's degree in marketing, currently beginning a new role while continuing to build my career in the field. I have a background in freelance marketing and photography, and I've been working toward long-term goals centered around growing my own business and creating a stable, independent future.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I recently totaled my car (April 29th), and while I am incredibly grateful to be safe, the impact has extended far beyond the accident itself.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I still owe about $7,000 on the vehicle, and the insurance payout will not fully cover the remaining balance. At the same time, I am starting a new job this week and need reliable transportation to maintain that opportunity. I am currently using a rental, but it is not a sustainable solution.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Before the accident, I was also driving for Lyft to help make ends meet. Losing my car has temporarily taken away that additional income, which has made it even more difficult to manage the financial gap created by the accident.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>On top of that, I had just completed my master's degree in marketing and was in the process of finishing my MBA. Because of the timing of the accident, I missed a final exam and was unable to complete the program. While I plan to revisit that in the future, it has been another unexpected setback during an already difficult moment.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I am working toward getting back on my feet, and my immediate goal is to secure a reliable used car. <strong>The funds raised will go toward a down payment and upfront costs so I can continue working, rebuild my income, and move forward from this situation.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>If you are able to donate or share this campaign, it would make a meaningful difference in helping me regain stability. I truly appreciate your time and support.

<div>My name is Mohamed Al Tawashi, and I am a software engineering student from Gaza. Along with my family, I have endured the devastating impact of war and economic hardship. Through hard work and determination, I earned a scholarship for my academic excellence, but the destruction of schools and universities in Gaza has robbed me of my right to education.

<div>The ongoing blockade and challenging living conditions have also made it impossible for me to find stable work to support my family. My dream is to leave Gaza with my family, ensuring a safe environment where I can continue my education and provide a better future for us all.

</div>
<div>Although I find it embarrassing to ask for money from friends/strangers, the huge cost of Facial Feminization Surgery makes it essentially inaccessible to me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In 2020, when I was s--cidal and actively self-h--ming, I discovered that trans people exist and realising that I was one of them, began my social and medical transition.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since then I have undergone various medical procedures to align my body with my gender;
</div>
<div>- (2020-2021) Started lazer hair removal
</div>
<div>- 27th June 2021 - Started private hormone replacement therapy (HRT) whilst I was on the NHS waiting list
</div>
<div>- July 2024 - Started Electrolysis
</div>
<div>- April/May 2025 - Had dermal filler
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All of the above have been entirely self-funded, apartment from HRT covered by the NHS since 2024 and a limited amount of electrolysis sessions on my face/neck funded by the NHS.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Despite all of the above, I still experience a huge amount of discomfort every day which impacts my mental health dramatically.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I constantly worry about how I am perceived by other people and with trans hate crime on the rise year-on-year, I avoid using spaces like public toilets as much as possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I feel that facial feminization surgery is essential to align my body with my gender, and to make me feel safer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Upon discovering that the NHS does not cover any surgeries for trans women apart from "bottom surgery", I had a consultation with Facial Team (facial feminization surgery experts based in Spain) in July 2024.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am confident that I'll be in safe hands there, since many other trans women I know of have had their FFS with Facial Team.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>FacialTeam's updated quote as of July 2025, which includes transport to and from the airport and accommodation, is 40,656 euros - approximately £35,000.
</div>
<div>Minus my savings of £10,000.
</div>
<div>Add 2.9% to cover GoFundme fees and money for taxis/flights and I'm left with around £26,000 to raise.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although I've struggled with chronic fatigue and brain fog since mid 2023, I do as much freelance/volunteer work for the trans community outside of that as I can, which has included;
</div>
